2014.06.25: PWN - LEGACY - Social insurance Part 1
It was a gloomy day here in California, clouds filled the sky and the skies were gray and that was because Petey Bauer-a man with so much honor and respect was assaulted and put into the hospital after he protected Alyssa from being harmed by Drew Stevenson. You see, Petey Bauer decided to protect Alyssa because he knew that a man of Stevenson's size and stature would easily break her in half but what was the thanks that he got? He got put into the hospital by that ungrateful winch.
Pulling into the hospital in a beautiful emerald green hummer was Drew Stevenson and in the passenger seat was none other than Decaine; the best manager in the world, the manager of champions. In the backseat was around four tiny little Japanese women dressed in nurses outfits and they sat there quietly not knowing what to say to a man with Stevenson's reputation. After having pulled into the hospital, he removes the key from the ignition as the hummer shuts off and he looks over at Decaine who sits there looking back at him.
Drew, "Poor Bauer, I can't believe that an ungrateful winch like Alyssa would do that to such an innocent, honorable man!"
Nodding his head and agreeing with Stevenson, Decaine knew that it was a travesty as to what happened to such a nice man.
Decaine, "I couldn't agree more, all he did was protect her from the beating that you would've given her and the thanks that he got was being put into a miserable hospital bed."
Drew, "That's okay though because I have took it upon myself to make sure that Mr. Bauer is taken care of, I refuse to let him sit there in that miserable bed and be down."
Decaine, "You know something Drew? You are truly a great man; you are an inspiration as to what everybody else in Legacy should be!"
Lowering his head, nothing but a huge grin stretched along his face as you can see that his cheeks were red as he was blushing from such a compliment.
Drew, "I just do what is right, that man took care of me, he took care of Alyssa and he took care of the wrestling business and he deserves so much better."
Nodding his head agreeing completely with Drew, both men opened the doors of the hummer and hopped out as the tiny little Japanese women followed right behind them. Walking through the automatic hospital doors, Drew walked up to the front desk as an older woman looked at him.
Receptionist, "May I help you?"
Drew, "I am here to see Mr. Petey Bauer!"
Receptionist, "He is in room 215!"
Quickly turning around, they walk around the receptionist's desk and begin heading down the hall. Looking up at the various signs, they follow them until they reach room 215 where the door is slightly cracked; the room is quiet and dark. Lightly knocking on the door, Drew reaches down and grabs the silver doorknob and cracks the door open as there lies Petey Bauer in bed, a neck brace on his neck and he looks worse for wear but that man is a trooper and he is getting better with each passing moment.
Drew, "May I come in sir?"
Bauer, "Of course you can Drew, please, come in!"
Walking into the room, Drew and Decaine approach the bedside of Mr. Bauer who sits himself up and looks at both men with a soft smile stretched along his face. As he looks passed Drew, he sees the four little Japanese women as he then looks back at Drew wondering what is going on.
Drew, "I know what you are thinking sir, what are these women doing here? Well let me tell you sir, I paid for these women to take care of you-you can call it social insurance."
Tilting his head to the side and looking curious, he responds to Drew sounding kind of trumped.
Bauer, "What do you mean social insurance?"
With nothing but a grin stretching along his devilish face, Drew leans in and whispers something in to Bauer's ear as that brings a smile along his face.
Bauer, "Oh now that is the best kind of insurance!"
Drew, "You see Sir, you took care of me and now I am going to take care of you."
Almost tearing up, you could see that Bauer was incredibly grateful to have such a man like Drew on his roster and in his life as a friend just as Drew was incredibly grateful to have a man like Bauer in his life.
Bauer, "Drew, I can never thank you enough-you are one heck of a great guy, you know that?"
Reaching out and patting Bauer on the shoulder softly, Drew looks completely humbled by such a compliment.
Drew, "I only do what's right sir and it was an injustice as to what happened to you. All you did was protect her, you were just trying to make sure that she didn't get her career ended and look what happened? She decided to assault you and then she had her career ended."
Nodding his head, Bauer completely agreed with Drew who is the man to end Alyssa's career as well as help Bauer out in his time of need. Snapping his fingers, the little Japanese women rush to the side of Mr. Bauer as they begin giving him massages and taking care of him.
Drew, "Don't you worry sir, everything will be okay and at Independence Day? My win over Duke Andrews will be in your honor sir!"
Extending his arms out, Drew and Mr. Bauer embrace in a bro hug as Mr. Bauer knows that Drew's word is golden, that it is the gospel truth and that Duke Andrews will in fact fall once again to Drew Stevenson just as he has so many times in the past.
Bauer, "Go get him tiger, show the world just what a legacy really is."
Nodding his head and looking incredibly determined, it was almost as if the song "Eye of the Tiger" was playing in his head as he heard and hung on to Bauer's every word.
Drew, "Trust me sir, I will make sure that every single person knows exactly what we are about here in Legacy Wrestling."
As a middle aged nurse walks into the room, she has a tray of food as she looks at Drew and Decaine.
Nurse, "I'm sorry guys but visiting hours are over."
Drew, "Okay, we will take our leave but these four nurses here? They are to be with him at all times-I already had it approved."
The nurse nods having already been told that as Stevenson has money and he can usually get his way. Leaning over and patting Bauer on the shoulder, he speaks to him in a very soft manner.
Drew, "You just keep hanging in there sir, you are the toughest man I know and I can't wait to see you back in Legacy Wrestling. Oh and before I go nurse, do I have a huge pain in my ass?"
Turning around and flaunting his ass to the nurse, she kind of looks at it and shakes her head not really knowing what to say to him.
Nurse, "No, it looks okay…"
Turning around to face her, he quickly responds to her.
Drew, "... Of course I have a huge pain in my ass, he weighs about two hundred and thirty pounds and his name is Duke Andrews!"
Laughing, both he and Decaine exit the hospital room as they walk down the hall talking and formulating strategies heading into Independence Day where Drew steps into the ring to face Duke Andrews. As they eventually make their way out of the hospital, there stands several men and women with cameras trying to get a word with Drew about what has happened as he has kept his silence for the most part ever since Alyssa took her ball and went home.
Man, "Drew, Drew, can we get a word about…"
Woman, "Drew, Drew, what are your thoughts regarding…"
Bringing his hand out to stop every single one of them dead in their tracks, he shakes his head and speaks to every one of them.
Drew, "Whoa, whoa, every single one of you heard exactly what I thought when Mr. Decaine here already told all of you. I am not speaking about Alyssa, she showed her true colors, she proved that she can't hang in OUR business and she showed every single one of you just who the real coward was. Now, if you would like to move past Alyssa-I will be glad to talk to you about Duke Andrews, a man who always seems to be a pain in my ass."
With the cameras flashing and the tape recorders rolling, it was clear that they all wanted to hear exactly what Drew has to say about his opponent Duke Andrews and the event coming up, Independence Day.
Drew, "For those of you, who are not very familiar with Duke Andrews, let me be the first to tell you that I am all-too-familiar with him. You see, Duke and I go way back-we have traveled the road together and we have faced each other in so many promotions that this is like déjà vu to me; this is like a flashback gone wrong. I know that Duke is back home and he is licking his chops at getting the opportunity to face the best wrestler in the world but here's the catch Duke-you're not going to like the outcome, just how you didn't like the outcome in our first thirteen encounters when I beat your ass from pillar to post."
Grinning from ear to ear, every single man and woman with a tape recorder stood there quietly as they hung on to his every word.
Drew, "But you see Duke, I know that Mr. Bauer has an idea in mind. I know that he always has a vision and I also know that he is a man who grants opportunities to those less fortunate like you. Now I will admit, you're a good wrestler Duke, you would've never gained all of the achievements and accolades that you have if you weren't a good wrestler but are you better than me?"
Pointing at himself and shaking his head, he knows that's flat-out ridiculous.
Drew, "Let's not get carried away now because everybody knows that there's not a soul alive today who's a better wrestler than I am. I mean, look around Duke-I have the woman, I'm soon to have the legacy championship, and I have Mr. Decaine-the best damn manager in the world at my side so if you think for one second that you're better than me and that you can beat me? I want you to take yourself out back, I want you to put a slug in that hunting rifle of yours and I want you to treat yourself like old yeller and put yourself down because those are nothing more than delusional thoughts. Oh I know, you will begin foaming at the mouth and talking about how over in ICWA how you and David managed to beat me but keep in mind, it took two of you to put me down. Now if you decide to bring up the past, don't forget those thirteen times consecutively that I beat you."
Winking at everybody, it was clear that he was directing that at Duke Andrews.
Drew, "You see Duke, Independence Day will be no different, in fact; it will be much different because in case you haven't been keeping up or have noticed-I am far better than I ever was! When you look around this business? You will see that my name, Drew Stevenson, is always at the top of the marquee no matter where you go. If you were to look around Twitter, you would always see somebody talking about me or some promotion name dropping me and hopes that they would gain my attention because they want me inside them, yes, pun intended."
As he laughs, Decaine pats him on the shoulder and just shakes his head knowing that his client is truly the best wrestler in the world.
Drew, "But you see Duke, not everybody gets me because I am a very hard man to sign. I only go where I know that the grass is greener, I only go where I know that legacies are built and in case you have forgotten Duke; I am the man who builds legacies and puts asses in those seats. That is why at Independence Day? It will be just that Duke, it will be an independence for the wrestling business as Legacy Wrestling and I once again revolutionize the business."
Flashing that arrogant Stevenson smirk, he just places his hands behind his back in that military style manner as he continues to speak to everybody listening.
Drew, "At Independence Day Duke? You will have flashbacks and it will not be the good ones, you will remember your days back in Chicago when you used to be my whipping boy and you will remember the days back when no matter how good that you were? You were never as good as I am and you will learn that you will never be as good as I am. Oh yeah Duke, you see, Independence Day is where I take you and I show you just what I am about because I think that you have forgotten. I think that you have this mentality that you have surpassed me but in reality? You are going to learn firsthand that what I said to Alyssa is in fact the gospel truth and that is that I am the best, that I am a man who cannot be stopped, I cannot be beaten, and in due time? I will be the first-ever Legacy heavyweight champion and the name Duke Andrews will be just another name notched under my belt as a man who I ran through in claiming that throne. I want you to look into the mirror Duke and I want you to face the facts; I want you to understand that as you regress-I only continue to progress and get better. When you and the rest of the world thought that I was standing on my last leg? I was really evolving, I was only continuing to get better, I was continuing to get smarter, and in that ring at Independence Day? You will be the second opponent, the second person here in Legacy Wrestling that can vouch for my supremacy because with this man by my side?"
Turning his body to face Decaine, he puts his arm around his shoulder and embraces the knowledge of such a great man.
Drew, "There's not a soul in this industry that can stop me Duke and if for some reason you doubt me on that-go to the unemployment line and talk to Alyssa because she will be able to tell you firsthand just how true that is. Oh yeah, you see, I have heard for the past two weeks how I sold my soul to the devil but in reality? All I did was grant myself immortality and at Independence Day? Duke, you will never forget just who in the hell I am as I beat you from pillar to post, as I show you just what the Stevenson era is all about."
Quickly shouldering his way through the small crowd of people, he along with Decaine walk through the parking lot and get to his emerald green hummer where they both hop in and drive away.
