So... Edwards showed up. He showed up. Ya know what? That was great. It was great that he did because now Scotty had an opponent. Now he had somebody to face off against. But this guy.. this guy didn't want Scotty to underestimate him but it seemed that there was a bit of underestimation coming from Edwards to Scotty but this whole thing? It was nothing that Scotty hadn't dealt with before. His entire career he was underestimated. This guy had a chip on his shoulder and it was going to be up to Scotty to knock that chip clean off.

"Wrestled around the globe, held a bunch of World Championships and ya come to LEGACY, tellin' us ya came from some other company that that I don't know if anybody from around here has really even heard of... but there's one thing that ya said, Joey, and that's that you're a spokesman for a generation."

Scotty paused and the camera panned back from his face showing him in his sleeveless Platinum Three Oh Nine shirt, a pair of denim shorts and a backwards cap on with the IRX Logo. Yes, the IRX logo-- that company had significance to Scotty and to where he was right now. Scotty had then removed the baseball cap from his head and turned it around and he stared down from his seat at the logo.

[Scotty]:
Global Franchise Wrestling, was it? Well let me tell you a little something of where I came from. I come from a little company from Manhattan, New York that was run by the mad man himself, Talen Decaine. I... R... X. Ya know Talen and I, we've had our differences but when it comes down to it I'm an Innovator. Because of that promotion, I got the ground work laid out for e to become the success story that I am today. Because of that promotion, because of Decaine, I got to enter the main stage when my tenure with his company was done and it took me six long years working from the very bottom of that company before I finally made it to the top. Because of that company, I got to go out to the ring, do what I love, be one of the best bad guys that New York has ever seen and I got to innovate. That is what makes me different, Joey. Not because I say so, but because for nine years I've been in the ring proving it. I did amazing things in my younger days that helped make me who I am today. See, Joey, I don't need to tell everybody that I'm a twelve time world champion, because I'm not. But I don't need to tell people that I was champion anywhere because these people, these fans, they know me, they know my history and they know what I stand for. Just like the fans from Manhattan.

With another pause, Scotty put his cap back on, took a drink from his water bottle and continued on.

[Scotty]:
I also don't need to insult other people because they might not know exactly where I've competed. That's the beauty of something new, some place new, not everybody will know you or remember you but when you let your ring work do the talking for you, you can bet your ass that they're going to start paying attention to you. That's why as far as I'm concerned you can have all the world titles you want, have competed in all of the arena's that you want-- so you're established, I get it, but so am I. You're 'different', I get it, but so am I. Five Foot Eleven, Two Hundred and Twenty Pounds. Do you think I'm the biggest guy in the business, Joey? Hell no! Look at Bobby Langford for crying out loud! Six Foot Eight nearly three hundred pounds of solid muscle coming right out of the Emerald Academy! But if you really did your studying up on me, you would have known that bringing that into argument wouldn't play out very well for you in the end. For me it's never been about my size, Joey. It's never been about half of my career facing guys that have a good three to six inches of height on me, up to a hundred pounds or more on me because not once has it ever stopped me, or hindered me to do the best that I can, and give the best damn performance that I can in that ring and I think my own personal success story speaks out loud for me on that one. Do you think you're the only guy to get treated like crap in some run-down wrestling promotion where the promoter thinks that because he's got money he can run a business? Nah man. This game you're trying to play... these people, these fans, MY fans... they know better and they're not going to fall for it.

Scotty stood from his chair and he walked around a bit. He liked to pace when he talked because it got to relieve some stress and he just felt more comfortable.

[Scotty]: And since you finally graced us with your presence, ya know maybe I was wrong. Maybe I was wrong about you being lazy but it still doesn't change the fact that you didn't have enough respect for me, or for the people. It doesn't change the fact that you're trying to play a psych game with me when the way it seems to me, we're pretty similar you and I. But just where we're similar, we're that much different. There's nothing coming from me that's going to underestimate you but it seems to me that you've got a pretty high opinion of yourself that you're looking down on me because you just don't seem to care enough. This may not be the last time we face off, Edwards, and I'm sure it won't be but when it's about making an impact, gaining that momentum, and pushing forward? That's where good ol' "Never Say Die" Scotty Addams comes into play. You can use your words or your actions in the ring to try and keep me down and to try and beat me but I'm telling you right now-- don't count on being too successful. What was it you said... I might get a cheeky victory over you someday but not today? You've gotta be one of the biggest hypocrite's that I know and it's high time I show YOU what Scotty Addams is all about. I'll out wrestle the best and fly higher than the rest... and later tonight? Brace for impact because shit just got real.

End.
