Installment One.

Times are changing.

- Joey Edwards:
"I don't need no introduction."

**The familiar gruff tone of Joey Edwards reverberates through the room as the cameras fade into the scene. Standing in the middle of an empty class room is the self proclaimed spokesman of a generation, Joey Edwards, wearing a black suit and tie and a pair two hundred dollar shoes; which looked similar to loafers. Edwards has his hands behind his back as he stands in the center, not far behind him to his right is Richard Steen, his personal trainer and manager. Steen's wearing his usual attire of a grey suit, black tie, and shoes; with his hair slicked back and a smirk plastered on his face.**

- Joey Edwards: "Not with how far I've managed to get through my illustrious career. You people should already know who I am. You should be familiar with the dangers and skills that I already possess. But for those buffoons who somehow haven't heard of me, allow me to reintroduce myself."

**He pauses, clearing his throat and running his fingers from his left hand through his dark brown hair; looking at the cameras with a stern look in his eyes as he begins to clasp his hands together, indicating that he means business.**

- Joey Edwards: "I'm a tweleve time world heavyweight champion. I've wrestled around the globe in numerous countries such as Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and some others. I've been in the ring with the best, defeated the best and I've done it in the biggest arenas that have ever been built before. I'm not a legend. I'm far from it. But what I am, is an expert in the art of wrestling; I'm the spokesman of a generation. I'm Joey Edwards and I have arrived here in Legacy Wrestling."

**He gives a nod of approval as he finishes his sentence, still looking deep into the camera with his vacant eyes, almost looking quite intimidating.**

Joey Edwards: "What brings me here? Competition. I look at the roster and it is full of some great superstars that I haven't had the pleasure of stepping in the ring with. Frank Washington, Drew Stevenson, Matt Mattlock.. there are an endless list of names who I am quite honestly, thrilled that I may get to step in the four sided ring with them. It's not just competiton I'm here for though however. I'm here in Legacy Wrestling to end my career on a high.

A few weeks ago, it finally dawned on me that I'm approaching the end of the line. I'm not too old. I'm not losing my touch either. It's not any of that crap. It's not me. It's them. It's the federations themselves that continue to make a mockery out of me. They don't realize the talent I possess because I'm not six foot three, weighing in a two hundred and fifty pounds, looking like a freakin' beach model, who looks good on behalf of the company. I don't conform to that. And because I don't conform to that, I'm not going to get my shot at greatness. Let me give you an example, a few months ago I was wrestling over in Global FRANCHISE Wrestling. I went seventeen matches undefeated but I got nothing for my hard work and dedication. I got nothing.

So I left that shit hole. But it seems like everywhere I go, they're just doing the same. They're not opening that window of opportunity for me. Instead, they'll give it to the big guy; he looks like he can get some people to watch the show. And because times are changing, and companies are more worried about their image instead of their talent; It's unfortunate to say that I'm not going to fit in or conform to these new ways companies are acting. It's either I bulk up or just get the fuck out."

**Edwards begins to pace around the empty classroom, whilst Steen stands motionless stood in the same position. Edwards stops and looks at the camera after contemplating what to say next.**

- Joey Edwards: "But you know what.. it's OK. I've done everything I've ever wanted to in my career. I've won world championships, I've competed around the globe, I've had tag team partners and I've main evented some pretty big events. I'm OK with what I've done so far. But I'm not overally satisfied. So that's another reason why I'm here.. to add some accolades before the end.. to go off on a big high. I'm here to extend my legacy and make sure, that I'm remembered. This company is something new. It's different, sorta like me. I'm different. I'm unorthodox. And that's why me and this company go together like bread and jam. And the different are feared! They're feared because they add something different to the table. They don't conform. They don't listen. They don't care. They rebel.

The only thing that matters to the different is that they're getting to step into the four sided ring each and every week to wrestle their hearts out. That's the only thing we care about. And I hope this company doesn't turn out to be like the others. I hope that this company sticks true and remains different because at the moment, I'm loving it here. But I'll tell you someone who isn't going to like it here... Scotty Addams."

    • Finishing his sentence, Edwards walks towards a large green chalk board and grabs a chalk from a stand beside it. Edwards then stands on a side angle, so his back isn't towards the camera nor is it towards the chalk board.**

- Joey Edwards: "Oh I've heard a lot about you Scotty. You may not think I have but I've done my studying. I've seen what you're capable of. And I know that you're a talented wrestler, don't get me wrong. But the fact is Scotty, I'm better and I will justify that statement on Friday the 20th of June. Let me demonstrate what's going to happen in our bout Scotty."

    • Edwards turns his back against the camera and begins to draw a figure with his foot facing upwards. He then begins to draw another figure who is on the recieving end. He stops drawing and chuckles to himself before looking at Steen, who breaks a smile.**

- Joey Edwards: "I'm going to finish you with a kick of life. And then mount on top of you whilst the referee counts to three before announcing me as the winner. That's how it is going to go and you'll have nothing to say about it. Sure, perhaps on any other day you might get a cheeky win over me. But not on Friday, not on the opening of Legacy Wrestling. The stakes are high and people want to make good first impressions, because the way I see it this match is an indicator of contenders for the world heavyweight championship.

The Legacy world heavyweight championship. The holy grail of this company. That's what everybody wants, and aspires to, but not many will get to lift the championship. Before I retire and fade away from the wrestling scene, I want that world heavyweight championship to have my name embedded in it's archives of former champions. I want that world heavyweight championship to be so formidable, because I was the guy who held it first; that's what it's all about!

**Edwards walks back over to the center of the room, licking his dry lips before continuing.**

- Joey Edwards:
"Scotty. I hope that you haven't underestimated me. I've seen what you've had to say about me. I've seen your personal opinions.. calling me "too" lazy. I find that invalid and highly offense because I'm the guy who shows up every week! I'm the guy you will always find working his ass off in the gym! I'm not the lazy one.. you've got the wrong perception of me.. but that will shortly change.

And the fact that you said I've disrespected this company, it makes me sick. Originally, I liked you Scotty. I didn't have any problems with you initially. You weren't a target of mine. You weren't on my radar, but now, you're going to have to pay. The words you've been saying are inaccurate. The way you've been trying to portray me is disgusting. And on June 20th, you're going to get a real look at what the real Joey Edwards is about!"

**As he finishes his sentence Edwards walks closer towards the camera, his smug arrogant smirk quickly disappears and turns into a stern intimidating look as he tilts his head to the side, continuing to approach the cameras before they fade away into darkness.**
