2014.06.18: PWN - LEGACY - Disrespecting

Scotty is back, and this time he's in a promotion that the one and the only Mad Genius helps run: Talen Decaine. The history between Decaine and Scotty spans back clear to 2006 in a little promotion named the Innovative Revolution X. Scotty just a young punk at the time fresh out of the Emerald Academy and really didn't know too much better with only a little experience in NWA Mid-West. He was nine out of ten times on the receiving end of some pretty fucked up shit, pardon the language. Whether it was falling twenty feet off of a glass cage, taking himself out of the Revolution X with BBK.. but those were the early stages. Scotty then years later had earned Decaine's respect because when he did everything in his power to get rid of Scotty, to keep him out of the IRX but with Zarek Lyle, his then partner in The New Revolution (a very successful tag team for a number of years) had snuck into the promotion and eventually captured the tag team championships. The kid that Decaine thought he knew was long gone. Scotty had since finally achieved his dream of capturing his first World Championship but has made his way into the main event scene for a few years now and solidified himself as one of the best. And now he makes his way here to LEGACY and here in LEGACY, Scotty Addams will be the best.

"Joey Edwards... a man known by a few friends of mine... a man that knows nothing of me."

Scotty paused and gave a nod, taking a drink from his water bottle.

[Scotty]: Ya know, walking into a new promotion sometimes.. it's not the easiest thing. When you've got a handful of workers around you that you've never really worked with before or some that you've only heard some things of but never seen, it can be intimidating. Take things back five years ago and that would have been me. But here we are... LEGACY Wrestling, the next best thing coming out of California... so here's the question: what is in store for Scotty Addams? What's my goal, where do I see myself going? Well if you realized just who the hell you were dealing with you'd already know that the only option for me, the only option for 'Never Say Die' Scotty Addams is going straight to the top. The only option for me, the only option for me is to take on whoever the hell it is that I've gotta take on, kick some heads in, drop some folks and pin them for the three or make them tap out. See... Decaine came to me. He came to me and Decaine said 'Scotty, you've brought yourself up so far and I'm helping get this promotion going and I want you to be part of it." Yeah-- the very same Decaine that did whatever he could to get rid of me years ago is now coming and telling the Joker's Wild that he wants us.

Scotty couldn't help but snicker, for just a moment.

[Scotty]: In this business, we all know that the major goal is to become that top dog, to be able to become that heavyweight champion, carrying the company on your back, being the man with the target that everybody is gunning for... and you go ahead and look at that roster and look at some of the names that we have here: Drew Stevenson, Duke Andrews, Bulldozer and the returning Matt freakin' Mattlock. You can look at the guys that'll be the future of the business like Noah Adelaide, The Treborns, Bobby Langford all just as examples of what we're looking at but you wanna know what? It doesn't matter to me how much bigger any of these guys are than me. It doesn't matter how much stronger they are, or how much faster... it's not going to matter because with every single person I get into that ring with... I go in to win. And if it's one thing that pisses me off, it's when people like you, Edwards, decide that you wanna get lazy. They decide that they can just ride out the week, not say a word but still expect people to take them seriously. But that's not me, eh-eh. See, I get into this business to bust my ass and to fight my way to where I want to be. But what about you, Joey? You figure you can just... get things handed to ya by waiting? Nah man.

Scotty shook his head.

[Scotty]: See, the way I see it right now? You've disrespected King Treborn. You've disrespected Decaine. You've disrespected the roster and you've disrespected me. And I've never been one to really take it too lightly to people disrespecting me. So here's what's going to happen, bud. We're going to go to that ring, the bell is going to ring and when we stand across from each other it's not going to take me long because I don't mess around with people like you. You chose to disrespect me, and disrespect this company and the people that are giving you a chance at something else? You've messed up and now you're gonna pay for it. This little game of yours, it's going to come to a close. People like you, you either choose to show up last minute or not show up at all but no matter when you show up, you'll be on the receiving end of a Platinum Driver in the middle of that ring; you'll be looking up to the stars and you'll hear that ref counting to three and before you know it, it'll be over. You're not dealing with just some regular ol' joe scmhoe in that ring, nah. You're in the ring with Scotty Addams, you're in the ring with one of the Joker's Wild, and you're in the ring with one of the best. See ya on Friday, bud. Hope you're ready.
