For some people professional wrestling was a way to work towards another type of opportunity. The toll that it took on the body easily propelled some people into the spotlight of a stuntman- or another type of battle sport. For someone like Masen Dysen, it gave him an opportunity to be something else, something special.

Professional Wrestling allowed Masen Dysen to be.. an inspiration. Someone that can donate, that can be charitable. A guy that kids can say 'hey ma, look! I wanna be like him when I get older!' It's not easy though, it took hard work and determination but resilience and determination made ANYTHING possible.

The story of Masen Dysen started in a backyard in El Centro, California when he was 13 years old. A trampoline, a ladder and a roll of duct tape allowed him to emulate his favorite professional wrestlers and all the mean while taking what he had learned and added to what he could do. He found that he had the ability to soar, and soar crazy heights. He was blessed with great hang-time and could do a lot while defying gravity. But eventually, after busting his butt and earning his stripes Masen found himself his first real gig.. nearly 12 years after that trampoline and DVD adventure, Masen 'The Mesmerizing' Dysen was being given a fair shake, and it was in none other than California!

With a beige colored derby hat that you'd usually see taxi drivers wearing pulled over the top of his head, Masen Dysen was seated on the edge of a huge trampoline that had a screen 'barrier' that kept what was inside... inside. His legs dangled off the edge as he had his hands pressed down against the bouncy portion. Masen had a face that people loved, something about the boyish charm that he had made people just want to see him succeed and reach the highest of highs in terms of goals and dreams.

Masen Dysen, "It took a lot out of me to not want to give that numbskull Cameron Kaiser a scathing piece of my mind, but how would that make me better than him? How would stooping to his level and embracing the hate make me any better than what Cameron Kaiser is? He's no role model, he's just a kook with a maniac complex. He thinks he's the emperor of the world and all I've got to say to that is.. Dude.. Chill! Take a step back Cam, see the world for what it is! Take off those funky goggles you've got and see things for what they are.. yeah, a bit difficult, but nothing that can't be fixed with some good ol' fashioned elbow grease and a heck of a lot of heart!"

If there was anyone in the world that should have a grudge against society, it would be Masen. He's a red headed, freckled participant in the new aged circus that we call Pro Wrestling. What else was he capable of doing if not for the industry? Changing tires at Jiffy Lube? Bagging groceries at the local supermarket? He didn't have the good looks, he didn't have the overwhelming charisma.. he had heart though.. and he had some serious ability.

Masen Dysen, "When I look at you Cameron, I see a guy that's a total badass and that's no lie. You've got a polarizing charm about you, you draw attention and you've got a certain way you handle things.. I can respect that. You say what you see, you do what you want-- that's a heck of a way to live life. You and I? We're not too different bro, the only difference is aside of telling people I'm breaking their legs and back, I tell them to try and do that to me. I urge you Cam, try and break my legs- go on and clip those wings you said you can see that no one else can. I want you to try bro, I really do. Give me a reason to give you a knuckle sandwich for breakfast, lunch AND dinner!"

Despite his threat, Masen wasn't intimidating. He was far from it actually, but despite the boyish charm that he had... there was the look of untapped potential that could make him a dangerous.. dangerous individual. He was the kind of guy that'd take a lot, he'd bottle it up and then when he'd lose it-- he'd be a total nut. Until then, he'd be able to take a lot of verbal punishment, especially from guys like Cameron Kaiser that could dish it out.

Masen Dysen, "I won't stoop to your level but I am saying that I hope all that you talked, you're able to back up.. because yeah, I am gonna toot my own horn, something I don't do often.. I can fly. It's how I make my living and I damn sure aren't going to let you take that away from me! I won't sit by and let those threats become a reality! I've busted my butt to get to where I'm at now, to be able to enjoy everything I've achieved and I'm not gonna let you or your creepy girlfriend take it away from me! You can try your best to break these legs, try your hardest to clip my wings but I promise you Cameron, don't bet the house on it.. I'd feel bad seeing you sleeping in the streets."

As said, despite not being able to pull off being intimidating, Masen had a different way about him. He didn't need to be the scary guy with an edge, he was who he was-- the guy that people could get behind because he wasn't too different than they were!

Masen Dysen, "And Noah Adelaide? Bro, I've heard nothing but great things about you and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do in the ring. Unlike Kaiser, you didn't take shots, you don't come out swinging for the throat with a butchers knife. Instead, you understand what this is about.. it's for the people. It's for the families that walk into the arena and pay their hard earned money in this tight economy for a show that they can drive away from when it's said and done and tell each other 'that was awesome'. Unlike Kaiser, you see what the end-game is.. yeah, a title or two would be great but it's what we do in the ring is what matters. You call yourself 'War Machine' and that's great-- I like to think of myself as Spider-Man so we're able to mix it up in the ring-- may the best man win, bro!"

In LEGACY, there probably wasn't a more sincere and genuine individual than Masen Dysen. There was nothing lurking behind his words, everything he said you know came from the heart and was true. It's part of who he is, it's how he was raised.

Masen Dysen, "And Terry John? Bro, I don't know you but I hope you're nothing like Kaiser. That guy is off his rocker, about four short of a six pack. Show up at Friday the 20th with the thought process of wanting to fly and we can do that. Let's go out with Noah and the nutcase Cameron and let's steal the show. Let's show the fans of LEGACY that even though we're not Drew Stevenson and Alyssa Pryde.. or Scotty Addams and Joey Edwards-- or part of a legendary wrestling family like Prince, Ripper, Miles and Dante that we too can be stars. Let's go out there and make it count.. I know I will. For the people.. by the people.. that's how I live my life!"

With a nod of his head, that was it. The scene faded to black on the shot of Masen Dysen smiling and nodding at the camera.. The Real Life Spider-Man was going to put on a show in a few days, hopefully the other three had the ability to do the same or else he'd truly be in a league of his own.
