Rachel is a doctor. Actually she's nearing the end of her first year of residency and has two years left to go. She works most often at Prospect Memorial Hospital in the E.R. averaging 16 hour shifts.

They say curiosity killed the cat. Well, cats aren't the only one with this flaw. Rachel can get herself into some sticky situations because she finds it hard to resist investigating anything INTERESTING.

The Doctor's Oath; Rachel takes this vow very seriously and she lives by it to the point that unless her life is truly, truly in danger, she will avoid doing harm to others at nearly all costs.
