ONCE UPON A TIME

...there was a creature with a beautiful
heart. It was full of love, dedication,
and heroism. This creature appeared as
something not so lovely to look upon, but
it was cheery, and kind.

Its coming had been foretold by many
powerful portents, strange signs. A flood
of ten thousand colorful serpents; a great
school of seven hundred dolphins; a
migration of many species of butterfly all
in one streaming cloud a mile long.

What it was going to become, would not
be clear for some time.
