- People die, it is when someone helps them along that Alison gets called in. She works in homicide and has a rep for being able to crack some of the 'weird' or older cases. As such she often gets tossed a cold case to be fresh eyes on it. So one of the easiest ways to meet Det. Nichols is through her job. Just hopefully you aren't the one in the chalk outline. But even then, that doesn't stop her from always questioning the dearly departed.
- Alison can see the dead, and that has cost her a lot of sleep in her life. Also part of the reason she moved to this city, thinking there be less old ghosts hanging around. But if you're dead and getting lonely, could always just startle the poor woman trying to do her job. Just remember, she doesn't have eternity on her hands and may try to ignore you til the norms are around.
- Alison is kinfolk to the Silent Strider tribe. With a bit of know how about their world (Garou Lore 2) and workings. She knows that they mean well, as a whole, and try to do good. They tackle things she can't handle. She also has seen the mess they can leave behind when things go bad.
