Gaian Gathering Obstacle Course
There is a BBQ ongoing, cooking up fresh farm raised meats and veggies. As it is finished, it is being piled high on a table nearby, along with all the fixins' for a fine feast, with things for all tastes. Meat eaters and vegetarians alike. At the end is a dessert table.
A bar has been setup with spirits from local breweries, and well drinks for those not wishing to imbibe. Kinfolk are staffing all the areas today, and are welcoming and helpful if you need any assistance with the food.
A campfire has been setup with logs brought in to sit on around it, as well as other folding chairs and benches, perfect to listen to stories and chat with others as you enjoy the food, drink, and company.
Obstacle Course Contest
Each course is worth 100 points. For every success, you gain 5 points. For a simple failure with no 1's, you lose 10 points. For a failure, with /ANY/ 1's, you lose 10 points and then an addition 5 points for each 1.
Events
- Tractor climb
- Roll: +roll Dexterity + Athletics vs 7 or +roll Dexterity + Climbing vs 6
- Description: It's about 6 feet high at the front. Step on the bumper, over the engine to the roof of the cab, then down the back and on the ground.
- Tire Run
- Roll: +roll Dexterity + Athletics vs 8
- Description: Muddy. No shoes. Roll up your pant legs for this one. Tires are small, with only about 18 inches for the hole in the center. Feet must touch the ground in the center completely. There are plenty of tires to chose to get from the start to the finish.
- Barbed Wire Crawl
- Roll: +roll Dexterity + Athletics vs 6
- Description: Even more muddy. Easy enough to get under and slither through. Clothes might be an obstacle themselves.
- Rope Course
- Roll: +roll Dexterity + Athletics vs 9 or +roll Dexterity + Climbing vs 8
- Description: Hanging from the trees are a series of ropes, all tied together. You have to get from one side to the other, across four different trees, while the ropes sway and twist with every movement.
