Smoke and Barley - Main Room
The smell of spices assails one's nose upon entering into the bar and grill. The soft murmurs of patrons seem a non-ending drone as the door shuts, blocking the sounds of the city off. Wood paneled walls are adorned with hanging plants and pictures of forests. Lighting keeps the warm glow of the restaurant by shining on the plants and pictures.
In the centre of the room is a large, round fireplace that burns merrily and bright. It illuminates the restaurant quite well. The flames leap high, and are tended regularily by staff. Thick oaken tables are laid around the firepit for those that would enjoy the warmth of the flames. The tables have large leather seats are set for the barbecue feast to come, with a bucket that holds bottles of spicy sauces and piles of napkins.
To the right of the door, taking up half the room, was the bar. Its glossy cherry wood shining and surrounded by comfortable leather stools. Behind the bar were three large kegs on their sides each holding 4 taps. A chalkboard on a wall near the kegs listed out the micro brews of the month. Beyond the bar a section is marked off and three cork dartboards hang on the wall.
A small hallway leads the way to a set of stairs, the bathrooms and kitchen. The scent of the barbecue is strong from the kitchen, where the meat is grilled all day.
In small places, such as along the edges of tables and hidden in the carvings of the wood of the bar, there are glyphs (those with Lore:Garou would Identify this as a place shifters are welcome and safe. Sanctuary of sorts). The bartender is either Klem or her cousin Timor.
Amy steps into the place casually, swinging by the bar to say hi to the kin staff, and to get herself a cola. Then she takes a seat near the door, and waits her turn to order a steak.
Carolyn comes in, not far behind Amy, actually. She hasn't recognized teh other woman yet, and she also heads to the bar. She looks around the place trying to decide on a seat when she spies Amy. Familiar...oh. Grey eyes narrow and she hisses a little to herself.
Amy hasn't gotten food yet, so she takes the opportunityt o get up . "Oh hey," she says softly, with a deep sigh. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry about that. I had no idea he'd started seeing someone since I met him that one day."
Carolyn grinds her teeth, wanting to lash out, but manages to hang onto civility. Those grey eyes look at Amy like a falcon looks at a mouse. "I won't say what I think. But let's just say I don't think well of the whole thing. I don't blame you, but I have no reason to like you either."
Amy sighs, as the tone and general demeanor say a lot more than the words themselves do. "Well, I think you're misinformed, and misrepresenting me in the situation," she says coldly herself, her hand leaning on a barstool, gripping the edge tightly. "That you won't say what you think just proves you're in denial of the truth."
Carolyn's eyes spark. "Denial? My now ex-boyfriend was cheating on me." Her voice starts as a growl but then evens out, going flat like it was at Tabitha's place that day. She sounds calm when she continues. "Like I said, I don't blame you, you didn't know. "
Amy shakes her head. She's kinda annoyed now, and sighs heavily. "Well yeah. Since, unless you were dating him when he was homeless and beating up muggers on the streets, well... I was doing that to him before you met him. So if anything I had him first, if you want to playt he possessiveness game."
"No, not really. He's yours if you can keep him." Carolyn answers, voice still flat. "I was dating him when he was homeless and beating up muggers, but either way it proves he's not for me."
Amy tilts her head and chuckles "Well, huh." She takes a deep breath. "Then he never told me at any point in time, and the more you seethe at me, the more you're still blaming the wrong person. I know this much though, if I was dating a guy I wouldn't have left him in the gutter and then got mad when he went home with someone who could take care of him." And with that, she slowly starts to walk out.
Carolyn watches Amy go, grey eyes fixed on her back. She turns away to the bar after a moment, growling to herself.
