  • Perceptive
Alan Pogue sees everything. Not like EVERYTHING, but like, a lot. His base perception is more than five, and he's capable of near-night vision, tracking by scent, feeling currents and fields in the air, and all kinds of other crazy shit. Where's the fun in that? Well, if you like, you could offer up additional details to me that others wouldn't notice, and use that as an excuse to start a scene. He's a curious guy, so it wouldn't take much. If you specifically don't want to have a guy like this around, where he might notice that you don't sound like you're breathing or whatever, don't worry. I'll just have him get curious about something else and focus on that.
  • Amnesia
Alan Pogue remembers nothing. He woke up in a VA hospital in mid-February, having been in a six month coma following what is officially 'an alcohol related accident' back in the Fall of 2012. He was medically discharged after this, because he no longer remembers much of his life or his skills. He knows who he is, people have told him, and he believes them. His family knows, and he's not looking for answers or a cure. This means we could have met any place, any time, or you could even try to lie to him about it... long lost 'cousins' asking for dough? Who knows. He is trying to figure out why this happened, as he assumes it is some kind of brain washing after an abduction that he kind of sort of thinks he remembers.
  • Flashbacks
Bored? Want to watch a guy go crazy and then cry about it? Break something, make a loud noise, or shine a flashlight in his eyes. Poor Alan has flashbacks occasionally, his only remaining memories and they are all from bad days in his life. Are you the confidant type? Maybe they meet when he has an episode?
  • Ex-Military
He's out of shape now, his skills diminished after the coma, but Alan WAS a SEAL. What did he do as a SEAL? No idea. His missions are classified and since he doesn't remember, he can't tell you. He assumes he did the worst shit you can imagine, or else why get brainwashed, right? If you're in the military, or retired, you might know him.
  • Curious
Curious to a fault, Alan will zero in on anything he notices that defies explanation, and then try to explain it.
