Allison/Hooks

• Shaolin : She never took her vows to become a priest, thus she has hair and doesn't spend most of her time in robes, but Allison is a Shaolin monk. Females are currently being trained in both the traditions and styles of the Shaolin in the modern era, so she isn't -too- unusual. Still, she takes it all very seriously. She wasn't trained in some strip mall, but in a temple in western China. So, for realsie reals.

• Naive : Allison spent almost her entire life in a tiny village in China, and the temple there. She's been trying to acclimate to western modern culture, but it's hard. She doesn't panic if someone has a cell phone, or something. She's not from the middle ages. But, she doesn't get some of the fine details, and she's often far too trusting.

• Do : Do is not a martial arts style as many misunderstand. Do is a way of being. It is the pursuit of perfection of the mind, body and soul, and it meshes perfectly with Allison's Buddhism.

• Kung Fu : This girl has trained since she could walk. She still had a lifetime of learning ahead of her, but she is an incredibly capable martial artist in the Shaolin styles. Want a teacher? Wax on.

• Dharma : Her Paradigm can roughly be described as this, though there is much more to it : One must embrace Darhma by rejecting the boundaries between self and other, matter and spirit. All things are one. One must put themselves above all things. Become one with the Avatar to transcened and be reborn properly in the cycle. Practive focused, direct action, and understand every actions consequences on the world as a whole. Become part of the world, instead of a single entity. The world is connected, be connected.
