Once, she feasted on nectar and ambrosia and walked through tunnel-palaces filled with untold food-riches and forgotten rat-wonders. Once, she sailed across the starlit skies in the belly of a vast ship-beast, and visited a thousand different moons. Once, she played her moon-metal guitar-sword upon a golden stage, and a million rats chittered back in ecstasy. Once, Earth was but a cautionary tale from countless generations past.
Today, she walks in a broken world she does not understand.
