Cheree/Hooks

- Fledgling: Cheree is a new vampire. She's received the basics of an education in her new life, but she's struggling with accepting the new nature of her existence as an undead monster.
- False Sabbat: Cheree has not yet proven herself worthy of receiving Creation Rites. As a False Sabbat, she's a notch above "ghoul" in the hierarchy of the Sabbat. She can often be found performing the kinds of menial tasks that True Sabbat are too important to want to bother with.
- Fuck-Up: Cheree is regarded by most of her fellow Sabbat in La Mesa as "an accident" at best. Her lack of ability -- or sheer unwillingness, perhaps -- to adapt to becoming a vampire in anything resembling a functional way ("healthy" can be thrown right out when talking about undead monsters) has not endeared her to the community. She's seen more as a liability than as anyone useful for anything of any importance.
- PTSD: Cheree's Embrace was not consensual. She did not want to become a vampire. She still does not really want to be a vampire. The choice was made for her, not by her. This paradigm shift in her existence has left her profoundly traumatized, usually manifested in the form of depression and apathy. At the same time, frenzies come extremely easily, especially surrounding hunting and feeding, which are concepts she either can't or won't wrap her brain around.
- Idiot Sire: Cheree was a tourist who was Embraced by a guy named César González who did a lot of stupid things like Embracing random tourists. Less than 24 hours after her Embrace, her Sire flipped his Jeep over a cliff and burned to (final) death in the crash. He did a lot of stupid things like that, too, and no one who knew César González much liked him, and those did know him might either dislike Cheree for her connection to him, or pity her.
- UC Prospect: Cheree finished up sophomore year in the BFA Contemporary Dance program at UC Prospect, went on a trip to Mexico with her family, and then never came back. Maybe you were at UC Prospect at the same time as her; maybe you saw her around the Alpha Chi Omega sorority house; maybe you recognize her as the "missing girl."
