  • Mr. Kim is the owner and operator of Mr. Kim’s Kimchi and Noodle food truck, a popular cart that moves around the city serving authentic Korean dishes and kimchi. A fixture on the streets for decades, Mr. Kim is a warm but shrewd vendor with a vast network of regulars. He’s well-known and well-liked, a trusted face to the city’s working class, students, and night owls alike.
  • Mr. Kim is a wealth of street-level intelligence. Because he moves to multiple locations daily, he hears and sees a constant stream of city activity and underground gossip, from gang dealings and petty thefts to local crime patterns and current tensions between different community factions. His insight is invaluable for anyone looking to stay one step ahead on the streets, with reliable leads on local criminal organizations, moving black-market goods, or suspicious activity that can escalate into trouble.
  • In exchange for information, Mr. Kim often requests favors, usually small but sometimes meaningful ones: help transporting supplies, repairs for the truck, introductions to new locations for the business, or even temporary ‘protection’ against rowdy customers or threats to his operation. Occasionally, he’ll request assistance with personal matters, such as "I need to deliver these noodles to so-and-so a few blocks away but I can't leave the truck and my nephew isn't back yet. Do you think you could deliver these for me? (which turns out to facilitate introductions, interactions, etc. Mr. Kim is an avid match maker and facilitator).

Important

  • Mr. Kim is a fixture within Prospect society - known to the homeless, the people on the street, business folks and academics alike. His truck shows up almost anywhere people need food (or need an excuse for why they're roleplaying at some intersection on the map).
  • Feel free to include him as the background for some scene. Just drop a "Noodle Truck" object or include it in your poses so people know what's going on.
  • Mr. Kim is just an NPC to facilitate rp. He's not a combatant, a snitch, etc. Don't abuse the concept.
