University Paranormal Investigation Club (UPIC)
With the encouragement and backing of his mentor, Professor Jacob Marsden, Tyler helps form the University Paranormal Investigation Club. Officially, it’s an academic group focused on exploring myths, legends, and historical mysteries, but in reality, it serves as a front for a small, secretive team that investigates actual paranormal phenomena on and around campus. Professor Marsden, intrigued by the club's potential and eager to explore the more obscure aspects of history, acts as the faculty advisor, providing guidance, access to restricted resources, and occasionally involving the club in his own occult research. Tyler, as the club’s de facto leader, works with Marsden to unravel supernatural occurrences, uncover hidden truths, and protect the university from unseen threats.

Exploration of Ancient Mysteries
Tyler’s academic and personal interests draw him to uncover hidden or forgotten knowledge. He’s particularly intrigued by ancient civilizations, lost artifacts, and the occult practices of bygone eras. This could lead him to investigate ancient ruins, decipher old manuscripts, or search for powerful relics, possibly uncovering secrets that could aid or haunt him.

Navigating High Society
Through his connection with Aunt Bev, Tyler has access to the upper echelons of society. However, the world of the wealthy and powerful is rife with secrets, manipulation, and hidden dangers. Tyler could be drawn into high-stakes social games, uncovering scandals, or using his knowledge of the dead to gain leverage in this exclusive world. Aunt Bev’s requests for him to escort her to events could serve as opportunities to gather information or make important connections.

Haunts
Tyler has a deep affinity for the hidden corners of the university and the surrounding community, often frequenting places where knowledge, culture, and the supernatural intersect. His favorite haunts include the university library’s dusty, rarely visited sections, where old tomes on forgotten subjects are kept; cozy, dimly lit coffee houses near campus that attract a mix of students, professors, and eccentric locals; and independent bookstores filled with obscure and out-of-print volumes. He’s also drawn to pagan shops and other niche stores that offer esoteric items, rare artifacts, and spiritual tools. These places not only provide Tyler with a sense of belonging but also serve as sources of inspiration and discovery, where he often stumbles upon clues to ancient mysteries or meets individuals with knowledge of the occult.

Linguist
Tyler’s passion for history and culture extends beyond the academic; he is also a skilled linguist, fluent in French, German, Spanish, and Latin. This ability allows him to engage with diverse communities both on and off-campus, where he often strikes up conversations in their native languages. Whether he’s discussing the nuances of a traditional dish, exploring the history of a local festival, or simply enjoying the warmth of a neighborhood gathering, Tyler finds these interactions deeply fulfilling. His linguistic talents also come in handy during his investigations into ancient texts and obscure manuscripts, making him a valuable resource in uncovering hidden knowledge and connecting with people from various backgrounds.
