Intro
The iPPV feed kicks in, with Kevin North and DIC on commentary. Before they can get started, however, the stage area has a few cylinders of pyro lined up. They start to burst into the pink/purple colors of LONE.
Brrrrat! Baratattatttaaa tatatat!... BOOM!
After the display of pyro, the titantron above the stage area comes to life. Over the PA the theme of LONE, Rage Against the Machine's Testify, www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_zyb-XXWz0 starts to play as a video reel starts.
"They're always good shows" Demi smiles happily, rugged up in a lot of layers against the cold. Sure, she could do a spell to change that, but that would be naughty. "Who are we going for?"
The graphic for ThanksBEATING II flies across the screen along with the Supremacy and LONE logos. Footage from various matches kicks in, with shots of Hannah Kix hitting her "Eat Your Kix" trademark move.
She is then posing, with the background a solid purplish pink behind her. The hood of her boxing robe pulled over her head and she throws fast punches towards the camera while her nameplate appears under her.
Then there's more match footage, but of Marie Porter hitting The Marie Experience (TME) I and II, and then Marie in front of the same solid background. She poses with her hands on her hips, tilting her head to her left and smiling big while her nameplate appears under her.
Then a match card screen, with the footage of the poses we've just seen, and a giant VS between them.
More match footage now, of the current LONE Tag Team Champions, "Fly" Felicia Hawkins & Kayoko "Yo-Yo" Ichikawa, No Fly Zone, working well as a tag team and then hitting their aided wheelbarrow legdrop, the NFZ, to win the Tag Team Titles.
Felicia and Kayoko pose now, with Felicia adjusting the bill of her fitted hat to face backwards while Kayoko holds up a fist in a threatening manner. NO FLY ZONE
It's the Gucci Gals' time to shine next, and shine they do with match footage of their tag team maneuvers and some of their dastardly tricks.
Ms. Gucci flaunts her 4 finger ring that reads GUCCI while Prada Paula flicks her hair over her shoulder and scoffs with an annoyed look on her face. THE GUCCI GALS
Last, and certainly not least, the spicy and sexy redheaded Cinnamon, and her ice cold and violent tag team partner Violent Violet are featured. Spice & Ice. Match footage from their chaotic brawl with the Gucci Gals is shown, like Violent Violet hitting a double clothesline on The Gucci Gals, and then dropping to her knees to punch both. Then it shows her running across a ladder set up as a bridge between the apron and guardrail, doing a senton that did not go her way as Prada Paula moved and Violet went crashing into the row of chairs and concrete. Cinnamon is shown taking Gucci down to the mat and slamming her head into it repeatedly before cutting to the both hitting their aided wheelbarrow facebuster, Sex & Violence on Ms. Gucci in the Tag Team Classic.
Cinnamon poses by running her hands down her shapely hips before giving the camera a smug smirk while Violent Violet pops her knuckles behind Cinnamon and stares at the camera coldly.
The six women are now seen with their poses replaying while their names come onto the screen. NO FLY ZONE VS THE GUCCI GALS VS SPICE & ICE TRIPLE THREAT TAG FOR THE LONE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
And now the video reel shows footage for the superstars that are going to compete in our main event.
Terri Thompson is shown winning the LONE Championship off Ms. Gucci for the very first time with that amazing Shooting Star Press off the top of a steel cage, and then hitting her bulldog, the Mind in the Gutter on The Glorious One to win it for a second time.
Terri poses now, wearing her vest and her brand new merch tee that has the Surgeon General's warning on it. She raises the LONE championship up with her right hand and mouths 'OOOH YEEEAH! WOOOO!' GUTTER TRASH TERRI THOMPSON
Alison Crowne is shown now, making Prada Paula tap in record timing, and then the disturbing act of her betraying her best friend and tag partner in Terri Thompson by clotheslining her and Terri staring up at her in pure shock. Alison then hits the Crowning Moment on Terri.
Alison poses in her ring gear; her black fingerless MMA styled gloves, elbow pads, her top, trunks with CROWNE in big letters across the front the W bigger than the rest ( pbs.twimg.com/media/DtLhdPXUUAE56K7.png ), kneepads and boots, all black minus the logo on her trunks an the crowns on her pads which were gold. This had to have been recently filmed as she appeared to be a little more toned than usual; indicating that she was in even better shape than she was previously, something her ring gear had no problem revealing. Her left hand gripped her right wrist as she held it up towards the camera, fingers outstretched and curving, almost forming a crown. Then her fist rapidly closed after staying open for several seconds as she flashed a cocky smirk. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT ALISON CROWNE.
Their matchup screen is shown, with the two posing and VS in between them. GUTTER TRASH TERRI THOMPSON VS ALISON CROWNE FOR THE LONE CHAMPIONSHIP
ALL THIS AND MUCH MORE!
The graphics fly across the screen now and end with the flyer of the show before the music ends and video fades to black.
North: Hello everyone and WELCOME to Supremacy: LONE 17 ThanksBEATING 2... Ungrateful! I'm Kevin North alongside my colleague DIC! We hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving and thank you for joining us tonight for a night that is sure to be explosive!
DIC: Yes yes, tonight will be unforgetable because my queens the Gucci Gals are going to take the tag team championships. No wait, there's also Spice and Ice. Oh man. They're going to take it. No wait. Either way, those wannabees in No Fly Zone are going home empty handed tonight. And just when you think you've had enough, you're getting a second helping tonight when my queen Alison Crowne takes home the LONE Championship from the gutter slut Terri Thompson.
North gives him a sideways glance.
North: ... We also have Hannah Kix in action tonight against Marie Porter. With Hannah's newfound attitude and her remarkable win over Ami Reeves, Marie Porter will have a lot to handle!
DIC: Marie's getting her head kicked off. Calling it now.
"Hello from the Gutter" by Overkill blares over the PA.
DIC: Oh God. Here we go!
North: We're finally going to get to hear what she has to say ever since Alison did what she did.
DIC: Unless she gives Alison the apology that she deserves, it's just going to be a lot of hot air!
Emerging from the gorilla curtain is Terri Thompson, dressed in the same gear from her pose earlier in the show. She's got the LONE championship wrapped around her waist, a black steel chair in her right hand and a microphone with the LONE logo in her left. She takes a moment to look out at the crowd before raising her chair into the air, causing the crowd to cheer loudly.
Terri marches towards the ring, deciding not to spend time with the crowd as she usually does and instead slides the chair into the ring before rolling under the bottom rope. She picks up the chair as she rises and then sets it up in the center of the ring. Instead of having the chair face the hard camera, she turns it to face the aisle and the backstage area. She sits right down in the chair, eyes on the backstage area.
As Terri raises the microphone to her lips, she pauses. The sound of the crowd cheering her name causes her to smile and let out an audible 'heh...'
TER-RI! TER-RI! TER-RI! TER-RI!
Terri: Thank you...
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Terri: Thank you all so much. This... This is hard for me, I'll be honest. This is very hard for me, but I've finally got the time to come out here and talk about Alison and everything she's said and done, and I know you guys want to hear it. But right now, I've got my eyes set on that backstage area because what I've got to say is straight to Alison.
Terri lowers the microphone for a moment, gripping the base with both hands. She lowers her head for a moment while the crowd cheers for her. Her elbows resting on her knees.
Terri snaps her head up.
Terri: I still can't believe it, Alison. I go to sleep at night and what you did to me plays over and over in my mind. She spins her forefinger towards the side of her head to illustrate that.
Terri: How you could take two years of a friendship and flush it down the toilet all for this. She pats the LONE Championship wrapped around her stomach.
Terri: Is despicable. I--- When I walked out of that match with The Glorious One, I thought that it was all over. I vanquished her, and Stevenson, sent them BOTH packing, and I was going to give you a shot at the title in friendly competition to see who the better woman was but you pissed it all away. You pissed it all away because you let that creep Stevenson plant seeds of corruption in your head. The same Stevenson who screwed you out of winning the title in the first place. You can say all you want that I ruined that match with my presence but lest you forget, Glorious One had you out and Robinson was fast counting you until I intervened. But let's not nitpick over what ifs, right?
Terri pauses for a moment. The look on her face, though she tries to smile, displays one full of heartache.
Terri: Like what if I didn't get pinned by the Juggalettes. Like what if I didn't eliminate you before eliminating Olga in the rumble. What if I didn't tell you I was El Jinete Rojo. All of the things you betrayed me for... all the what ifs you nitpicked for to the point where you stabbed your best friend in the back! When you hugged me and told me to give Stevenson hell, you were only looking for the best place on my backside you can stick your knife!
Terri is getting heated now, anger rising and it's evident from her cheeks reddening. Her eyes are wide like saucers.
Terri: I'll explain myself. I'll explain myself to you right now about all of it! I had an off night with the Juggalettes. Slapp beat me. It can happen to anyone and a woman with your experience should know that! I eliminated you before eliminating Olga because honestly, with your experience and your martial arts ability, plus the fact that the Rumble is every woman for herself and I needed to keep my identity hidden, I eliminated you because you were the bigger threat! I didn't tell you or anyone that I was El Jinete Rojo because if even a SOUL knew, what if Stevenson would have sent goons to beat it out of you? WENDY didn't even know! It was every woman for herself! I thought you'd RESPECT that!..... But you don't respect anything but this belt.
Terri scoffs as she continues on.
Terri: And you've got the gall to say I'm selfish. No, Alison. I don't do this for myself.
She stands up now and starts to point her finger out to everyone, turning in a circle as she speaks.
Terri: I do this for all of you. I do this for all of those who said I couldn't do it. I do this for those who thought it was funny that some punk kid with blue hair from a trailer park thought she could be a wrestler. You do this for the love of yourself, Alison... You do this for the love of an object...
She unhooks the LONE Championship from her waist and holds it up into the air.
Terri: You want to quote Bruce Lee? How about this one. "The more we value things, the less we value ourselves." You had no value for our friendship, you had no value for me, and you value this belt more than anything else. Well Alison, come get it, because tonight, I'm finally going to give you what you've been asking for since you betrayed me in July, and that's to plant your mind in the gutter!
Alison: Terri... Terri... Terri...
Alison's voice could be heard but she wasn't out, not yet. The camera cut backstage showing Alison Crowne standing in a hallway with a microphone in hand, focusing on her face.
Alison: You still just don't get it, do you? You really do think you're the victim, don't you? You have the audacity to go out in front of a soft, friendly crowd that'll buy whatever bullshit you feed them instead of looking at the woman in the mirror and taking responsibility for your actions. You want to talk about our friendship? Okay, Terri, let's talk. No, I mean it, lets have a honest discussion shall we?
Over two years ago I came to New England, I came to Fallcoast and I took a chance with my career to join a start up after I had just landed on a nationally televised promotion in Missouri several months prior. We all know that place went belly up, again. I get a call from Steve O'Reilly, you know Talent Relations? He worked backstage in Missouri and Jack E. Bux brought him onto his staff for a new project, a project that would become Ladies of New England, and he wanted me to come on board. No TV deal, no broadcast rights, just a bunch of local women from the New England area and a bunch of fresh wrestling academy graduates. The pay sucked; it still sucks if I can be honest and I'd have to supplement my income by working for other promotions in the surrounding area but he promised me that Bux had a vision and in the end I would be getting what was mine, we all would. I made a bet on myself and I took the deal, to get on the ground floor of something special; that's when I met you.
Alison's body appeared to pace around back and forth as she held the microphone in her hands, speaking as methodically as she moved.
Alison:You were my first friend here, Terri. And we hit it off very quick.
Alison chuckled softly as she smiled.
Alison: You were raw in the ring despite being six or seven or so months older than me but I had the experience, years of it beyond yours. But that didn't matter, sometimes when two people get in the ring together they just have chemistry; everything just has a way of falling into the right place. We started traveling together on the road, laughing, joking, we saw each other when we were both at our best and at our worst; we bonded. Whether either of us like it or not we know each other inside and out... what we like and what sets us off. We were always there for one another through the good and the bad; at least... we were.
Alison stopped moving as her eyes shifted downward to the ground, her head lowered before her eyes darted back up to the camera.
Alison: When the Gucci Gals kept throwing roadblock after roadblock in front of you I came to your side to even the odds. When The Glorious One sucker punched you during her title celebration I was there to step up and throw my own body on the line. But where were you when I needed help? Where were you when I was getting jumped? You think I do any of this for the love of me?
Alison shook her head and nearly threw her head back like she wanted to laugh.
Alison: That title changed you Terri, I can say that as someone who watched it happen. I can say that as someone who saw how you were away from the cameras and the bright lights. I saw that glint in your eyes when you won it, I was there waiting backstage for you the night you beat Miss Gucci. The joy in your eyes, the emotion; the raw emotion of finally making it. I saw the sense of validation that title gave you. Things started to shift, change, it was no longer about us making it but how YOU made it. You let it get to your head; it was like you couldn't get enough of the spotlight. You wanted more, more, more, more. When The Glorious One beat you for that belt that's all you could talk about. The belt, the belt, the belt, 'Alison, I need to get my title back.' 'Alison, I'm going to give Glorious One a taste of her own medicine when I put her Mind in the Gutter.' 'Alison, how dare Stevenson not give me my title match.' 'Alison, we need to make a stand so I can get my title back.' 'Alison, Alison, Alison.' Every conversation found its back to how Terri can get what she wants. I don't know what you did to piss him off and I'm not even going to say he was a good boss or whatever he wants to style himself as. Hey, I'm as happy he's gone as everyone else and I mean that but maybe you need to look in the mirror before you point your finger at me because nobody loves Terri Thompson more than Terri Thompson.
If I did this for the love of myself do you really think I'd be here? Do you think I'd agree to join a company with a bunch of ideas but no TV or PPV deals for the first year? Do you think I'd stick around during that reign of terror when I have wrestling companies across the country finding my phone number from a friend of a friend of a friend of a promoter I used to do business with? Or how about when you and I wrestled in Las Vegas in the Summer of 2017 promoting the company? Why don't you tell them Terri, why don't you tell everyone that I turned down a deal with a women's MMA promotion in Las Vegas for big money to leave wrestling and come fight for them; what you're not going to tell them that? Come on, Terri, tell them!
Silence, complete and total silence from Terri as all she could do was look on.
Alison: That's all you do Terri, you don't give, you take. You take from everybody around you until they've lost all use and meaning to you. Terri, when you took on Miss Gucci in that steel cage I BELIEVED in you, I knew you could do it on a level playing field. Just you and her in that cage, I knew you had it in you to take the Championship. But when I got my shot you never believed in me, you were jealous that I got an opportunity before you and you ruined it. You ruined it because you needed the spotlight on yourself so fucking much that you had to make my moment all about YOU!
Alison jabbed her index finger on her left hand forward, like she was trying to jab it into Terri's chest from backstage.
Alison: You don't know if I would've kicked out of that fast count or not but I can tell you this; I did up until that point. I knew the only way I could win against such a stacked deck was if I forced Robertson's hand; when you go to war Terri you do whatever you need to to survive. I've had so many opportunities to stab you in the back Terri, so many opportunities over the last two years but it never once crossed my mind because I loved you like a sister; I was loyal to YOU!
Alison stared at the ground as she was laying everything out there at this point.
Alison: It wasn't until I realized that street only went one way once everything went to your head did the thought even begin to creep in my mind but do you want to know what really sealed the deal? It's not an “if”, oh no, not at all. It's when you lied to me, lied to the world putting on that mask and winning the rumble under fraudulent circumstances. It was when you left me in the dark and sent me tumbling over that top rope on a fool's gamble; you bet on yourself with an hour and a half in a match against a fresh Olga and you got lucky. If you had only taken the time to come to me I would've had your back in that Rumble, I would've done everything in my power to make sure that we would be the last two standing. It may have been every woman for herself but that's not a free pass to stab your best friend in the back. You acted with the full intent of deceiving everyone and that's something you're going to have to live with; we all have things that we're going to have to live with.
Alison paused abruptly with her eyes still locked on the ground and she began to physically exert herself as it looked like she was... stomping on something? The sounds seemed to match that and the sound of someone groaning on the ground which sends a sudden alarm into Terri's face; like she recognized the voice.
Alison: Every selfish action you chose over the past year has had a butterfly effect and it's made changes to those around you in ways you never anticipated. Terri, I'm done playing by somebody else's rules. I'm done waiting in line and I'm over trying to do things by someone's else's definition of “the right way”. Terri, you need to learn that your actions have consequences...
Terri looked on as her face twisted into a look of horror as the camera zoomed out, Alison leaning down and getting on a knee as she started punching Wendy in the face repeatedly on the ground, her groans and scream of pain echoing throughout the arena.
Alison: But don't take my word for it... you're going to get a front row seat. Come on Wendy, lets go see your girlfriend. Oh... and don't make any sudden moves; miiight not be good for Wendy.
With a sick sadistic grin Alison scoops Wendy up and carries her over her shoulder as she walked down the hall and up the steps and through the gorilla curtain onto the stage.
Alison: You want to prove me wrong? That you don't do this for the love of yourself? Then prove it. Prove it to me RIGHT NOW. Prove it to Wendy...
Terri looks up the aisle, the fear crystal clear in her eyes as Alison carried Wendy on her shoulder.
Alison: Tonight I'm giving you a choice; what's more important to you... your title or your girlfriend?
Alison dropped the microphone as a loud thud of it hitting the ground echoed through the PA system as she held Wendy with her head pointing towards the ground, belly to belly as she held her in position for The Crowning Moment; her sit-out tombstone piledriver.
Terri's eyes widen in fear.
Terri: Don't you do it! Don't you dare!
Alison smirks with a look of pure malice in her eyes as she held her in position, sticking her tongue out as she held Wendy before she came crashing down, spiking Wendy's head on the hard, unprotected floor.
Terri screams in horror as Alison hits the crowning moment on Wendy.
Terri: NOOOOOOO!
Terri drops her title and the mic. The mic picking up feedback as it hits the canvas. She grabs the chair and slides out of the ring, chasing after Alison and then checking on Wendy when she gets to her. EMTs come out and begin to haul Wendy away on a stretcher while putting a neckbrace on her head. Terri follows them into the back.
The camera follows her now, cutting to the titantron for those in attendance. The medical crew is leading Wendy on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance. Terri, the whole time, is holding onto Wendy's hand and just before they put Wendy into the back, Terri leans in as Wendy wants to tell her something. Terri nods, watching helplessly as the ambulance doors close and hauls her girlfriend out of the LONE arena.
North: That was absolutely disgusting. Alison didn't have to do that at all! What's gotten into her?!
DIC: Alison was taking care of another annoying fly in the ointment of success. You saw what Wendy did to Drew Stevenson. You saw what she did to Robertson in the first place. She shouldn't have gotten involved. That's what happens when you do!
Hannah Kix vs. Marie Porter
The camera turns to the center of the ring now, where Johnny Baxter stands.
Baxter: The following contest is scheduled for one fall...!
Suddenly “La Rage” by Keny Arkana blares to life and Hannah steps out onto the stage with her head covered underneath a hoodie. Standing there for a moment, as to gather her emotions and focus. She then starts shadowboxing and afterwards walks to the ring while mouthing some of the french rap in her ring music 'Parce qu'on a la rage!'
Baxter: Coming to the ring, from Paris, France, she is... HANNAAAAH KIIIIIIIX!
When she gets to the ring area, she hurries up the ring steps, steps through the ropes and starts to shadowbox some more before going to the center and pulling down her hood. She spreads her arms out and dips her head back.
Baxter: And her opponent...
"Love Lockdown" plays and Marie comes to the stage with all kinds of colorful lights flashing on her on the stage. Marie hops around at the top of the stage with her big smile and raises her arms high in the air. Marie gives a nod of her head and dances down the ramp, turning in circles a few times just really enjoying herself and so does the crowd. Marie uses her arms and legs to really get into it before she slides into the ring and gets in the corner throwing her arms up in the air.
Baxter: From San Diego, California. She is MARIEEEEEE POOOORTER!
North: We haven't seen Kix and Marie Porter in quite some time.
DIC: Well I can assure you that there's no rust in Kix. Just like Queen Crowne, Kix breathes martial arts. This is going to be a cakewalk. Porter doesn't know what she's in for.
North: I wouldn't count Porter out, she is quite accomplished, and did very well in Missouri!
DING DING
Kix wastes no time aggressively going after Marie Porter, as no sooner than the bell's ringing Kix delivers a kick to the head when Porter extends an offer for a handshake as a sign of good sportsmanship. Porter is immediately stunned as her body bounces against the ropes and back towards Kix who delivers a sharp elbow strike to the side of the head. The referee is quick to try to go over to check on Marie but Kix tries to mount her on the ground, throwing a few punches that vary between connecting spot on and almost missing completely and everything in between as Marie Porter expertly rolled towards the bottom rope and towards the apron.
North: Hannah Kix certainly isn't messing around here tonight wth that opening flurry. Marie Porter's veteran instinces rolling to the ropes though may have saved her.
DIC: I don't think anyone's home after that one. She probably thinks she's in Candyland or something right now.
The referee steps in front of Marie and Kix calling for a break, something Kix appears to let go with a very nonplussed expression, almost as if she felt the referee was only putting off what she believed was the inevitable result. Marie pulls herself up which was enough for Kix to nudge the referee aside, but Marie managed to catch her off guard with a swift throat thrust, jabbing the tips of her fingers straight into her throat with force. Marie is quick to follow up with a knife edged chop to the chest, getting a large 'WOOOOOOOOOOOO!' from the crowd while Kix was busy clutching her throat. Another chop, another WOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
Marie Porter whips Hannah Kix to the ropes and hits a standing leg lariat sending the talented Parisian to the mat as her foe is quick to go for the cover. 1, 2, KICKOUT!
North: Marie Porter needs to press the advantage here. She may have done a good job recovering from a bad start but Hannah Kix is so dangerous, so talented that she can end the match at the drop of a dime.
DIC: I mean when you hot like Kix is, you can anybody on a dime. The things I would let her do to me...
North: You really are a glutton for punishment. She could punch you into next week! I.. don't really think she's that into you.
DIC: It'd be worth it, trust me.
North: Trust you? Might as well yell fire in a movie theater; you'll get a guarenteed disaster either way.
Marie, apparently heeding North's advice by mere coincidence does exactly that as she waits for her opponent to get to to a knee before running towards the ropes, springing boarding off as Kix gets back to her feet...
...leaping for the lariat...
Kix ducks!
Marie Porter rolls through and pops back up behind her and catches her with a swinging neckbreaker instead! Kix crashes back to the mat but instead of going for the cover this time catches her on her stomach and looks to apply The Marie Experience I, also known as the TME I. Her variation of the famous Muta lock, hooking the ankles behind her leg having stepped through, and arching her back and locking her arms around her opponent's neck.
North: Marie Porter has come to play today, The Marie Experience I is locked in. If she can make Hannah Kix she'll almost for sure find her name closer to title contention.
DIC: Big if. She may be good but Kix has got some dangerous finishing power.
Kix appears to be in serious trouble as the referee gets to a knee, asking Kix if she wishes to quit or to see if she looses consciousness from the hold. Marie is cranking the pressure for all she's worth looking to stun LONE with her impressive showing. Kix looks like she may have no choice to tap, but with her arms she presses herself up just a little off the mat... and she rolls...
...Marie loses her grip....
...Kix locks her hands across Marie's face and traps her arm between her legs to counter with a crossface submission hold!
DIC: What did I tell you?
North: The crossface is a very dangerous and effective manuever, even more mpressive that Kix was able to transition into that as a counter.
DIC: Come on, rip her arm off!
North: Well, as much as I would never wish that on Marie she can definitely dislocate her shoulder or tear some ligaments trapped in that.
Suddenly it was Marie who was on the defensive as she screamed in pain, Kix trying to rip her face off as she cranked every ounce of pressure she could out of the hold. Marie was too far away from the ropes! She tried to crawl for the ropes regardless but Kix was going to make sure she'd lose an arm before making it that far. Marie now looks like she'll need to tap out for the sake of her own health but she takes a cue from her opponent and manages to push herself up just enough to roll over, Kix was now on her back, the hold was still locked in but both of Kix's shoulders were down on the mat! With the simultaneous submission/pinfall combo the referee went to count for Marie while also keeping an eye out to Marie tapping out to Kix's hold. 1, 2... Kix releases the submission at the very last second and positions her body to break the pin at the same time.
North: Marie may have forced her to break the hold but Kix may have done all the damage she needed to do there. She attacked her like a python, that just goes to show how quickly the tone of a match and change.
DIC: Python, boa constrictor; all I see is a winner. She's got that killer instinct and I tell you what, Ole DIC loves a woman with an edge. Smokin'!
Marie gets up, perhaps the adrenaline still pumping too fresh and too strong in her body to remind her of how much pain she'd inevitably be feeling later, as does Kix who's a bit slower to get up. Marie stays aggressive as she looked to kick Kix in the stomach as a set up for the TME II, her variation of the stunner. Just as Marie's boot wasn't even a foot off the ground Kix knew she had her as she shot a lightning quick kick to her other leg, sending her crashing to the mat and kicking her in the temple before she could even fully get back to one knee.
DIC: Someone is Earing their Kix right now! Woooohohoho! I think i saw a tooth fly out there!
North: I think that's it, stop the match. Stop the damn match, I think she's hurt.
The referee backs Kix off quickly from Marie Porter and when he doesn't see her move looks towards the ringside doctor, immediately calling for the bell. The medical team quickly rushes the ring as Hannah Kix smirks at her fallen foe. After a few minutes Marie Porter slowly sits up on her own, surrounded by doctors as they were asking her questions as she held her head. After another brief discussion with the head physician the referee calls Baxter over, giving him several instructions as the official announcement was then made.
Baxter: Ladies and gentlemen, I have been informed that Marie Porter is unable to continue. Therefore the winner of the match as a result of doctor's stoppage... Hannah Kix!
North: About as impressive as a victory as you're going to find. To lose by knockout, doctor's stoppage, call it what you will is always a tough pill to swallow. I can only hope that Marie's okay and makes a full recovery.
Kix flashes a smug grin as the referee raises her arm on the outside before walking to the back.
No Fly Zone vs. Spice and Ice vs. Gucci Gals
Demi gasps dramatically. "Are you saying I sound like a Dic? Hmm...that bet was for dinner sometime. What you say next will affect your options for tonight." A wink and a shoulder nudge.
“Cinnamon Girl” by Neil Young plays over the public address sound system as both Cinnamon and Violent Violet step out onto the stage to a large chorus of boos.
Walking down the aisle and to the ring, they walk up the steel steps and step into the ring. They smirk and stand in their respective corner, waiting for the match to begin, but not before Cinnamon extends a leg forward and does a split. She starts to lean backwards and sways her arms as if she's slowly swimming backwards, before Violet takes her hand and helps her up.
“Gucci Gang” by Lil' Pump blasts over the public address sound system as the fans immediately start to boo as Miss. Gucci and Prada Paula come walking out with arrogant smirks expressed on their faces.
Baxter: Making their way to the ring, they are the team of Miss. Gucci and Prada Paula... THE GUCCI GALLLLLSSSSS!!!
Walking down the aisle while blatantly snubbing the fans, they get down to the ring and enter as the crowd begins to boo even louder. Gucci waves her 4 finger ring that reads GUCCI before talking smack to the fans while Prada puts a hand out as if she's pie facing fans who oogle/berate her.
"Stay Fly" by 3 6 Mafia hits the speakers and a big cheer from the crowd comes alive as this newly formed team makes their way from behind the curtain with the LONE Tag Team Championships around their waists.
In confidence they stand, making their way down to the ring and giving high fives to all of their fans along the way. Felicia wears a backwards cap with a a flag on it, half USA on the left and half Japan on the right and a big smile on her face. Kayoko wears a zip up jacket with the flag design on the back with the Japanese flag on the left, the USA flag on the right. They look ready for action, sliding into the ring and jump into different corners with their arms up and getting the love from the crowd
DING DING
Baxter: The following match is for the LONE Tag Team Championship! One member from two teams will be legal at all times during the match, tagging out either from their own corner or tagging a member of the third team with no legal participant currently in the ring. The first team to score a pinfall or submission will be the LONE Tag Team Champions! Introducing first, they are the first set of challengers, the team of Violent Violet and Cinnamon; Spice and Ice!
Violent Violet flashes a devilish grin leaning against the turnbuckle as Cinnamon stood next to her with her eyes locked across the ring at The Gucci Gals.
Baxter: Next, the second set of challengers, Miss Gucci and Prada Paula, the Gucci Gals!
The crowd boos as Miss Gucci and Prada Paula are chomping at the bit ready for the bell to make a mad sprint across the ring.
Baxter: And finally the team, Kayoko Ichikawa and 'Fly' Felicia Hawkins they are the reigning and defending LONE Tag Team Champions... No Fly Zone!
The crowd cheers as the champions raise their arms, each clutching their belts high in the air. The referee then goes to retrieve the belts and holds them up in the air for the crowd to see before handing them off to the timekeeper and calling for the bell.
DING DING
The Gucci Gals and Spice and Ice immediately rush to the center of the ring throwing a flurry of punches at one another as the referee already feels a sense of deja vu with a helpless expression backing away. Violet lands a swift punch to Paula's ribs before firing off several shots to the kidney as Miss Gucci was quick to rake Cinnamon's eyes before elbowing her repeatedly in the head. Violet and Miss Gucci are quick to back up and dump their chosen targets over the top rope to the outside before turning their attention towards one another and brawling with punches so swift it's hard to track when one was starting and another beginning and by who. The Champs are watching this happening and look towards one another as they then rush them and with a pair of stereo clotheslines since Violet and Ms Gucci to the outside. Kayoko then drops to her hands and knees as Felicia quickly darts to the other side of the ring, rebounding off the ropes and using her partner as a launching pad, running off her back, hopping on the top rope and hitting what could only be described as a double jump springboard senton, as she takes out all four women on the outside as they're getting up. Felicia quickly pops up off the ground as if she was sticking the landing to a roaring applause from the crowd.
North: Well, No Fly Zone said they didn't care who they fought, they'd take on anyone. Right now we're definitely seeing that can do attitude from the champs!
DIC: It's one thing to go all out but to try to impress these fans is a fool's errand. They're so fickle!
Felicia looked at the four women and picked up Paula and rolled her into the ring, the official now declaring that Prada Paula and Kayoko were legal as Felicia returned to her team's corner. Kayoko was quick to keep the pressure on Paula with a series of elbow drops to the back. Kayoko drags Paula by the foot to her corner and tags Felicia in. Felicia and Kayoko each grab a leg and apply two halves of a full Boston crab, trying to split the legs to inflict more damage as they do. The referee lets it ride being a triple threat tag and is very lenient in calling for a break, which under triple threat rules is more of a suggestion than a hard rule. Kayoko finally releases her half of the hold and runs against the ropes as Felicia cranks back on the now single legged Boston crab, exposing Paula's stomach just a bit as she presses a knee behind her back as a homage to the liontamer, just enough for Kayoko to deliver a pinpoint low dropkick right to that area.
North: They're the champs for a reason, DIC. Kayoko and Felicia know what the other's thinking, the art of nonverbal communication between partners is such an underrated but integral ingredient to a top tag team.
DIC: Be that as it may, they're up against the future tag team champions right now.
North: Which side are you conveniently taking right now, Spice and Ice of the Gucci Gals?
DIC: The answer is YES! You really think I'd bet against either of them?
North: Only one team can win, and while the odds are against the champions mathematically speaking the result you're speaking of is mathematically impossible.
DIC: Well Kev-O, if you ever went to a higher educated university you'd understand where I'm coming from. The numbers don't lie and they spell disaster for No Fly Zone!
North: Oi...
Felicia tries to make Paula tap out but she loses her grip and balance as Miss Gucci is pulling at her from the outside to save the match for her team and prevent a swift successful title defense. Kayoko is quick to see this and with a baseball slide kicks Gucci back down to the ground on the outside. Felicia regains her composure and locks in a half camel clutch, looking to contort Paula's body in a very uncomfortable way as she cranked her neck and torqued her midsection under pressure. The referee is quick to monitor the situation asking Paula if she quits but she's adamant about staying in the match. With Prada Paula in danger she gets saved once again by Violet and Cinnamon jumping Felicia from the back.
North: Talk about strange bedfellows. Last month Violent Violet and Cinnamon were trying to kill Paula and Miss Gucci and vice versa but to save the match they had to throw a life rope to their rival.
DIC: All for the greater good. They need to realize that No Fly Zone are the real enemies here!
Violet headbutts Felicia repeatedly from the back several times as Cinnamon almost floats as she transitions from the back to the front for the snap DDT driving one half of the tag team champions to the mat. Spice and Ice not quick to show mercy drags Felicia partially on top of Paula, their bodies overlapping and technically creating a pin. The referee however doesn't even bother counting as Cinnamon and Violet both begin stopping on the pile of two bodies repeatedly with anger and enthusiasm as they unleash many months of frustration upon the two women.
North: So much for that alliance.
DIC: Violence is the name of the game. The future tag team champions are going to need that killer instinct.
Meanwhile Ms Gucci and Kayoko both suddenly come to a realization on the outside brawling that both of their partners are in trouble and form a temporary truce and slide in to rescue their respective partners. Violet swiftly turns and headbutts Kayoko in the head before Ms Gucci quickly catches her in a sleeper hold and wraps her legs around her body Cinnamon quickly tries to peel Gucci off her partner's back but Kayoko kicks Cinnamon swiftly in the back of the head. Violet tries to shake Ms Gucci off her back, spinning around causing Ms Gucci's legs to inadvertently catch Kayoko and take her down to the mat before Violet violently backs up as fast as she can into the the turnbuckle forcing Ms Gucci to let go.
North: Anarchy rules; this is just as chaotic as last time.
DIC: The official is definitely earning his hazard pay this month. What a cat fight, I love it!
Violet shakes her head several times with a maniacal grin forming on her lips. She grabs Felicia by her hair towards her team's corner as Cinnamon gets up by this time and quickly catches up with her, almost intercepting her in a way, pointing to Paula and slapping her hands together, implying they should drag Paula over instead to force the tag and take out the tag champions directly.
Cinnamon: This is what we want! We want the belts!
Cinnamon tried to make her case, the cameras able to catch that particular sentence. Violet roughly slams Paula's head into the mat as she muttered just low enough to not be picked up, but her body language giving clues that she was more focused on revenge for the moment. Cinnamon is clearly frustrated as she points again trying to plead her case one last time but Violet wasn't going to hear any of it. Finally with a defeated sigh Cinnamon throws her hands up and steps between the ropes back to her team's corner. Violet grabs Felicia by her hair, yanking her up, Cinnamon grabs her hair holding her up from the other side...
Violet straddles the middle rope, peaking her body over to the outside just enough to slap Felicia in the face and immediately dipping back in. The referee slaps his hands together acknowledging it as a tag.
North: That's... technically a legal tag, but that's certainly not the spirit of a tag.
DIC: The only thing that counts is that it's a tag. Agree to disagree and get a fresh body in there; let someone else do the work for a while.
Meanwhile Prada Paula had manged to pull herself up in the single neutral corner of the ring, leaning against it like she was barely able to keep herself up with her back turned to the ring. Violent Violet unceremoniously boots Felicia out of the ring and charges recklessly at Paula who stays put until the last moment as she suddenly ducks and steps out of the way revealing an exposed turnbuckle! Violet crashes hard into the exposed steel ring and clutches her chest going down to the mat with Cinnamon shaking her head in frustration on the apron.
North: Sometimes Violet's violent tendencies prove to be an asset but when it crashes and burns... it burns. Exposed turnbuckle is definitely legal here but again, against the spirit of the rules.
DIC: Then why are you pointing it out? You always point out when someone violates the scout's rule book but when it's going within the rules, you don't say anything. How do you still have a job?
North; Because nobody else is willing to put up with you and keep you in check.
By this time Ms Gucci had rolled to the apron and made her way back to her team's corner as she was holding onto the tag rope. Felicia was on the outside but Kayoko was laying on the apron in her team's corner covering, making Paula's next move a very easy decision for her to make. Paula dragged Violet by her hair and tagged Ms Gucci, who was more than willing to get a measure of payback as she began to choke her with her foot in the corner, holding onto the top rope with both hands as she pressed both feet on her neck now. Violet's legs kick violently on the mat as she's trapped and helpless as Cinnamon can only look on shaking her head. Ms Gucci quickly tags out at Paula gets in revenge of her own stopping a mudhole right into Violet before tagging Ms Gucci back in. Ms Gucci delivered stomps of her own, almost like she was performing a tap dance all over Violet's face. Paula with a grin points to her partner telling to her 'watch this' and gets the tag. Paula placing her arms on top of one another close to her chest performed a rendition of the Russian Cossack dance with the kicks repeatedly connecting to Violet's face, the crowd gets into this and starts clapping in rhythm to each of her kicks, Ms. Gucci just points across the ring to Cinnamon and laughs hysterically.
North: That is the most unorthodox series of stomps I've ever seen in a wrestling match in my life.
DIC: They're ruining Violet's beautiful face! Make it stop.... stop giving these Roman Colosseum blood savages their fix!
Cinnamon tries to dart in but the referee is quick to interfere trying to retain some semblance of order as the women were actually tagging out for once and forces her back to her corner. Ms Gucci gets tagged in as her and Paula take a moment to discuss a routine as they interlock an arm with one another, one facing forward and one backwards as they begin to parade in the corner in a circle, stomping on Violet's face as they each make their rounds, each raising their free arms up as a way to gloat with each successful 'lap' and kick. By this time Violet is looking rather limp seated in the corner, perhaps taking a little more violence than even she was comfortable with as Paula finally goes back to her corner to leave Ms Gucci in the match.
North: Talk about insult to injury. I hope that's worth it because whether it's later in this match or sometime down the road Violent Violet is going to remember that exchange. She's going want her pound of flesh and gallon of blood.
DIC: I hope you're happy, Kevin! Violent Violet didn't deserve this!
North: Violent... Violet. With all due respect if you have Violent in your name you should expect to give and receive it all the same.
Gucci smirks as she grabs Violet by the hair and tosses her face first on the mat. Standing over her she grabs Violet's arm mockingly as if trying to reach out for a tag for Cinnamon before doing the same towards the corner of the No Fly Zone, Kayoko finally in what someone could call a standing position with Felicia next to her on the other side of the post. Ms. Gucci then slams Violet's head on the mat and rolls her over with her foot, placing her foot on her chest, striking a modelesque pose as the referee counts, 1, 2, thre-KICKOUT! Violet perhaps out of pure instinct shot her shoulder up.
North: Violent Violet on autopilot with that kickout. The lights are on but nobody's home.
Ms Gucci smirks at the effort and places a stomp to the back of her head for good measure before grabbing her legs, stepping through and crossing them over and flipping Violet on her stomach for the sharpshooter she calls Poise. Violet's eyes light up like the patient's red nose in the game Operation as pain shoots through her body. Violet begins to scratch and claw for the ropes as the referee has one hand raised and ready to call for the bell. Violet screams as she inches closer and closer to the ropes before Ms Gucci steps up and drags her to the dead center of the ring as both No Fly Zone and Cinnamon know the match is in danger. Cinnamon and Kayoko dart into the ring almost simultaneously with Kayoko hitting an enziguri while Cinnamon follows up immediately with a curb stomp on Ms Gucci. Violet perhaps not quite completely aware of where she is in the ring gets up and lunges for a tag... to the wrong corner as her hand slaps Felicia's, a hand that was just casually hanging over the top rope to the surprise of everyone in the match. Cinnamon immediately shouts at Violet trying to ask what she was doing before Kayoko grabbed her from behind and swiftly escorted her out of the ring by throwing her over the top rope!
North: Miscommunication is really becoming a factor for Spice and Ice now, Violet went for the tag but she tagged the wrong corner.
DIC: When you need to get out of Dodge you get out of Dodge. All there is to it.
Kayoko swiftly returns to her team's corner as Felicia is quick to resume the attack on Ms Gucci with a low dropkick to the face. Felicia is quick to catch Ms Gucci in a side headlock on the ground, cranking at the head and neck trying to squeeze the life out of her opponent. Ms Gucci fights her way up to a knee and slips out, catching Felicia in a hammerlock. Felicia is quick to slip out and goes to apply the same hold but Ms Gucci was quicker and caught her arm as she was attempting to take her down with an armbar. Felicia instead of getting trapped in the hold goes down with her, deftly slipping out she quickly transitions on the mat to a kneebar causing Ms Gucci to scream as she got caught by surprise.
North: And suddenly we went from anarchy to a more technical approach. You want a little taste of everything in LONE, here's your sample platter. That kneebar can make grown men and women cry, serious damage can be done in such a short time with that.
DIC: She needs to reach those ropes, come on Miss Gucci! Don't let those posers steal your moment!
Ms Gucci is quick to scramble for the ropes, something she ends up finding quite quickly as she found it with the tip of her free boot forcing Felicia to release the hold. Felicia grabs the knee and drags Ms Gucci over to her corner, interlocking her leg with her opponent's, forcing forcing the foot to bend behind Felicia's knee she makes the tag to Kayoko. Kayoko hops in from the outside into the ring. Felicia snaps backwards onto the mat, contorting Ms Gucci's knee in a seemingly painful way as Felicia untangled herself. Ms Gucci tried to pop up to a knee out of instinct to perhaps try to go full vertical to hop over for a tag but Kayoko was quick with a snap spinning kick to the head to put her back down to the mat. Kayoko swiftly goes for the pin. 1, 2, KICKOUT!
North: Miss Gucci barely kicks out!
DIC: We're still in this!
North: We? Since when did you become a Gucci Gal?
DIC: I'm an honorary member, Kev-O. Somebody needs to speak the truth when there's a bully at the table spreading slanderous lies about them!
Kayoko doesn't allow herself to be discouraged by the kickout as she continues to place well timed kicks to the back of the knee as she waits for Ms Gucci to get back up only to cut her back down. Ms Gucci manages to shove her opponent away after falling victim to this a few times as she caught on rather quickly but Kayoko decides to go low again, this time placing a well timed dropkick to the knee itself. Knowing that Ms Gucci's balance and ability to defend herself would be hampered with one bad leg Kayoko began moving back and forth off the ropes to build up momentum as Ms Gucci wobbled up to a vertical base. Kayoko goes for her spinning heel kick, the Starstruck but perhaps fortuitously Gucci's knee buckles, causing her to momentarily drop to a knee as Kayoko sailed right over her head. Ms Gucci quickly scans the ring, she wants to tag in her partner but Cinnamon was closer. Knowing she needed to get out now she reluctantly dashed as fast as she could to Spice and Ice's corner and tags Cinnamon in, swiftly rolling out under the bottom rope once she did. Violent Violet didn't have the energy to take a cheap shot as she had managed to pull herself up onto the apron, laying near her team's corner. Cinnamon came roaring out of the corner fresh as she hit Kayoko with a clothesline, using her momentum to throw a punch at Felicia on the apron. Cinnamon then ran across to the other side of the ring and elbowed Paula right in the face, sending her off the apron and towards the barricade before hitting Kayoko with another clothesline as she dashed back the other way.
DIC: Cinnamon is on fire, look at her go! Perfect 10, that's how a Perfect 10 faces adversity, with beauty and class! Win with class, baby!
With Felicia still dazed on the apron and Paula on the outside Cinnamon saw her shot and decided to take it. As Kayoko popped back up after the clothesline Cinnamon fired off a spinning heelkick of her own, a standing variant as she caught Kayoko with most of it.
North: Sugar and Spice! This could be it!
Cinnamon quickly goes for the cover.
1!....
Cinnamon throws her feet up on the middle rope for added leverage, the referee doesn't see it!
2!.........
THRE-------Ms Gucci pulls the referee out of the ring by the legs to stop the count!
North: Spice and Ice almost stole but Miss Gucci stole it back. That should've been it, it would've been it...
DIC: But if the ref never counts to three then it isn't it. All legal, deal with it.
Cinnamon pops up and raises her arms to celebrate thinking she just won the titles for her team as she drops to her knees in the center of the ring. It doesn't take long for her to realize that something's not right as the referee isn't bringing her her half of the tag team championships and instead looks over to see him arguing with Ms Gucci on the outside! Cinnamon quickly moves over and ducks her head under the top rope yelling at both of them and for the referee to get inside the ring. The referee instructs Ms Gucci to return to her corner, something she reluctantly does as she throws up her arms and backs away. By now Kayoko had enough time to recover as she rolled Cinnamon up from behind for a pin, causing the referee to dash back into the ring to count.. 1! 2! KICKOUT!
North: That roll up almost caught Cinnamon but she dug down deep to kick out. That's how badly she wants to be tag team champion.
DIC: We almost had a disaster but when you're up against the future tag team champions you can never count them out. No Fly Zone are on borrowed time; when you face the future champs-
North: I can't believe I'm saying this DIC but. Pick. A. Side. We all know you're biased, we all know you play favorites and make excuses but for my sanity and for the viewers watching; just this one... pick a side!
DIC: You're asking me to pick a side? Well, on the advice of my attorney, Eugene Varano, I plead the fifth.
Cinnamon kicks out, rolling onto her side looking up in shock as she tries to catch her breath. Kayoko positions herself behind her as Cinnamon gets up, capturing her in her clutches as she lifts her up and sends her crashing down in a bridging northern lights suplex pinning her opponent's shoulders to the mat as she holds on after impact. 1, 2... kickout! Felicia calls for the tag seeing an opportunity to put this one away and she does, the referee slaps his hands together to acknowledge the tag. Kayoko tries to lift Cinnamon up off the ground from behind with her arms wrapped around her waist but despite the rough landing of the previous move managed to actually slip out and shoves Kayoko backwards in an act of desperation. Kayoko stumbles forward as Felicia tries to grapple her and also gets shoved back even harder. Prada Paula sees this and stands up on the middle rope, holding onto the tagrope with one hand she reaches over as far as she can and her fingertips barely, just barely graze Felicia's back as the referee slaps his hands together again, this time an act that none of the women in the ring seem to notice. Kayoko and Felicia go for the Hi-Lo concept as Kayoko went low for a chopblock on Cinnamon while Felicia went high with a clothesline from the front and they both hit their target with efficiency. Kayoko then goes to lift Cinnamon up again as Felicia ascends to the top rope as this time they connect with the aided wheelbarrow legdrop! Felicia goes for the pin immediately after but the referee doesn't count! In the midst of this brief confusion Prada Paula, who was legal now in the ring as of fifteen seconds ago darts into the ring hits her patented Chick Kick right on the skull Felicia as Ms Gucci darts in, hobbling a fast as she could as she clotheslined Kayoko over the top rope. Paula goes for the pin! 1! 2!.... Violet manages to come to and sees what's happening and dives to break up the pin...
3! Violet gets there about half a second too late as the referee calls for the bell!
Baxter: Here are your winners and the NEW LONE Tag Team Champions... Prada Paula, Miss Gucci... The Gucci Gals!
The Gucci Gals quickly roll out of the ring as the referee ushers the belts to them after the timekeeper passes them off. Violent Violet and Cinnamon begin to exchange words in the middle of the ring, words of frustration as No Fly Zone realizes they just lost the belts without even being pinned.
Backstage Segment: "Gutter Trash" Terri Thompson & Frank Washington
Terri can be seen somewhere backstage, one can assume near catering. The look on her face says it all; she's in a very dark place with her match against her former best friend later in the night. She already saw Wendy get piledriven straight into the concrete and torn between joining her at the hospital or remaining to finish her business with Alison; right now she appeared to have chosen the latter. Terri looked like she was trying to either clear her head or focus enough on the match at hand instead of any pre-match snack or meal and most of the rest of the locker room were either getting ready for their own matches, unwinding from theirs, took the night off, or otherwise competing elsewhere. She was hoping the relative silence would be what the doctor ordered. However she didn't account for one soul to find her at catering, a good friend of hers; a legend in his own right, the reason why she got into wrestling to begin with... Frank Washington.
Washington: Hey Terri, how you holding up?
Frank walked into view, dressed sharp as one would expect from someone who helped run things backstage wearing a navy suit sans tie. He carried in his hands two cups of hot chocolate, extending one to Terri, which she takes.
Terri: Not so good, man...
Washington: Listen; I'm not coming to you in any official capacity right now. Jack E. Bux didn't send me, Steve from Talent Relations didn't send me. Right now I'm coming to you as your friend and nothing more.
Terri took a slow drink from her cup of hot chocolate, listening to Frank speak. Maybe she needed to hear some words from a friend; one that didn't turn his back on her.
Washington: You're playing a dangerous game right now, Terri. I know how much that LONE Championship means to you, I know how hard you had to fight to win it the first time and even harder to reclaim it a second. Man or woman, I haven't met many people as passionate at doing what we do between those ropes as you do an this is coming from someone who's wrestled around and seen the world. You've got one of the biggest hearts I've seen; you carry yourself like a champion whether you got the belt or not.
Terri listened silently, seemingly taking his words to heart. A faint smile formed on her face, she never imagined that someone she watched growing up would be standing before her in this moment, even if it was in the face of adversity, giving her a pep talk of sorts.
Washington: Terri, I know you want to go out there and put on the match of your life tonight. I know you want to give everybody who bought a ticket their money's worth and then some. And.. I know you want to go out there and get a win for Wendy. Eye for an eye; you want to give everything Alison Crowne has thrown at the two of you and return it ten fold. She put one of yours in the hospital so you want to put her in the morgue.
Frank flashed a sly smile, a smile of someone who's seen it and experienced it all. There wasn't much he hadn't seen. Betrayals, reunions, faction warfare... a savvy fan would even remember an incident back in 2014 where he and the rest of his Jokers running mates were banned from the entire country of Canada over an incident that went down at a wresting promotion and the ensuing fallout. He's someone that's wrestled on three separate continents, held multiple championships including three world titles, had stints on color commentary, talent relations, managed champions and still holds a valid referee's license to boot; now he was a LONE Executive for lack of a more official sounding title.
Washington: But Terri... don't let your pride lead to your downfall.
Terri's eyebrows raised as Frank's tone shifted from one seemingly of encouragement to... perhaps a warning? He wasn't giving her an ultimatum but his words had a lingering uneasiness about them, words from a concerned friend who was afraid someone he cared about was about make a grave mistake.
Washington: I know Bux isn't going to be very happy with me here but Terri, forget about the LONE Championship; at least for tonight. Listen; hear me out. I know what Alison's trying to do to you. She's trying to make you angry, she's trying to break you and make you fly into a frenzy. She's trying to use your emotions to cloud your judgment... she wants to you commit a series of unforced errors; errors you otherwise wouldn't make with a clear head. You think that your anger is going to push you beyond your limits, you think your justifiable rage will see you through the fiercest storms and turbulent waters and find a path to victory that may otherwise be unattainable given the circumstances. But it won't.
Terri glares at Frank, her posture becoming ever more tense by the second. Whether he was speaking the truth or not this isn't what she was wanting to hear right now.
Washington: Terri, you should know this better than anyone else. You've followed my career. I know this for a fact because I used to incorporate these tactics all the time throughout my career. Take it from a former villain; she's living in your head rent free right now and you're letting her. Alison saw your weaknesses and she exploited them. She exploited your trust, then she went after what she knew would hurt you the most, not that championship... but your girlfriend. Make no mistake, I know Alison wants that championship more than almost anything else in the world but the thing she wants most is to hurt /you/ right now. The belt is a means to an end. She feels like you wronged her; we've all heard her speak and run her mouth, and she's going to stop at nothing to satiate her appetite for vengeance. I know Wendy means the world to you, I know she was only trying to support you and your goals and that's exactly why you need to leave, now.
Terri didn't utter a word but her expression spoke a thousand word by itself; Frank presented her with a dilemma that she could not reconcile.
Washington: You need to be with Wendy, you need to be at her side. All of this? This can wait a month. Beating Alison Crowne isn't going to improve her prognosis, it's not going to make her suddenly get better. Say you do beat her, then what? What about being at Wendy's side when she needs you the most right now. Terri... she could end up paralyzed. I've seen what a piledriver to concrete can do; I've seen grown men and women in the prime of their careers confined to a wheelchair for the rest of their life after having their head spiked like that. Listen; Steve and I, we saw the footage of what happened, not live but we got a brief on it. Let us talk to Bux, let us be your advocates in his office, let us have your back so you can be there for her. Whether the match gets postponed or you get your rematch on the next show... Terri, if you go out there like this you're going to lose and potentially end up hurting yourself in the process. Take a month or two, clear your head, take care of those who matter and then approach this again.
To paraphrase a wise man: “Bravery without forethought, causes a woman to fight blindly and desperately like a mad bull. Such an opponent, must not be encountered with brute force, but may be lured into an ambush and slain.” Don't fall for this ambush, that championship does not define who you are.
A quote from the Art of War by Sun Tzu, a military strategy manual that Frank often quoted throughout his career, styling himself as a ring general and master strategist. A book many throughout history would ignore at their own peril.
Terri starts to shiver now. His words have been striking her true and she doesn't seem to know how to deal. She sets the hot chocolate down on the catering table they are near. She balls her hands into fists.
Terri: Y'know Frank I... It means so much to me. It means more than you'll ever know, everything you've done for me. I really, really appreciate your words. You're right. I know all about you. I've watched you as a kid. I gave one of my friends the Fisherman's Buster once, the GOAT, and her foot knocked over my Mother's lamp and I took the blame for it. I've watched your career and I know all about those tricks.
She pauses, shaking her head slowly.
Terri: But I can't. It can't wait another month. It's waited 4 already. When I was watching Wendy get hauled away do you know what she said to me? She said "Go. Beat her. Beat her and keep that title. Don't worry about me."..... I have to do this, Frank. I really appreciate your concern, but I have to do this. Not just for me, not just for Wendy, but for everyone who paid to see me kick her ass.
The crowd cheers at that.
Terri: Thank you, but I gotta give her what she's got comin...
Terri takes her hot chocolate and sips it as she starts to walk away.
Backstage Segment: Frank Debauchee
The camera cuts to the backstage area as Frank Debauche can be seen laying on a luxurious bed with red silk sheets wearing nothing but leopard skin boxers, laying his impressive physique on display. Flanking him on each side are two very well endowed women wearing form fitting dresses, also with matching leopard designs; one brunette and the other a redhead. One of them is dangling a bundle of grapes over his head, feeding him. This is what most would call a sickening display of decadence no matter what walk of life they came from. While some were starving and struggling Frank Debauche had more than enough to feed several hungry families with the food just sitting inside his room. As he snatches a grape off the bundle he flashes an arrogant smirk to those watching.
Debauchee: You know, everyone likes to talk about what Thanksgiving means to them; what they're thankful for. Now, I guess Jack E. Bux never got the memo that Thanksgiving was last week but honestly that's not my problem. See, unlike all the little ingrates that pollute the crisp Maine air everytime they open their mouths in Fallcoast I always have reasons to be thankful. I'm thankful that I've been blessed with the body of a Greek God and actually took PE seriously when Chester, Tommy, and Poindexter were busy inhaling Cheetos in front of a monitor. I'm thankful that I only have to travel to that little rinky dink armory you call an arena once a month, at most. I'm thankful that I live far... far away from the likes of all of you. I'm thankful for all of my best selling calender's, that I live on in the minds and dreams of every woman living unfulfilled lives with their fat slobs they call husbands to give them a few fleeting moments seeking to enter the kingdom known as the Land of Smexy. I'm thankful for my lovely wife Olga; whom I rescued from Siberia in the former Soviet Union from a mail catalog and gave her purpose and meaning. But most of all I'm thankful that I'm NOT in Fallcoast tonight.
Debauchee snaps his fingers at the redhead, sharply pointing to a turkey leg with his finger.
Debauchee: Come on sweet cheeks, you're not here because you're smart. Come on, feed. Yeaaah that's right, pick up the turkey leg and bring it here.
The woman complies as she extends the greasy turkey leg to him, feeding it to him as he takes a bite out of the meat and flesh of the drumstick.
Debauchee: Was that so hard?
Debauchee rolls his eyes hard, shaking his head.
Debauchee: What she lacks upstairs she more than makes up for everywhere else.
With a snicker and a wink at the camera he chuckled, talking about her like she wasn't even there.
Debauchee: You see, taking out the trash is a lot of work. Olga and I didn't come to LONE to be fed the same smelly fish over and over again, we came to dominate. Mission accomplished. “Pretty” Fay Qent, hate to say it but you were looking like a solid 4 out of 10 the last time Olga flattened you the oil caked poptart you are. Every single time Olga makes another dent on you you lose a good few points on the hotness scale and honestly... I'm sooo over that. So here's what's going to happen; until Buxy Boy either pony's up more money or gives us a challenge that's worth our time... I don't think we're going to be doing that LONE thing anymore. See, Olga wants the LONE Championship and frankly I think it'd look better around her sexy, muscular waist that Trailer Trash girl or her Best Friend ForNever so with that being said...
Several loud knocks are heard on the door as Debauchee glared over with intense irritation.
Debauchee: Scram! Get to waddling, I don't need room service.
Several more knocks are heard, which caused Debauchee to raise his voice.
Debauchee: How many times to I have to tell ya you dumb blonde, get to steppin, I'll call you if I need you!
Several knocks yet again, causing Debauchee to let out an exasperated sigh. He gets up and walks to the door, turning the knob and opening it.
Debauchee: For the last time... you're not room service... and you smell like motor oil....wait a... OLGA! OLGA! Dammit, woman!
Debauchee backs up and falls backward flat on his ass as Fay Qent is seen standing in the doorway, getting a massive pop from the crowd watching in the arena. Debauchee scrambles to his feet and backpedals, grabbing the brunette woman holding in front as a shield as he hid behind her. Fay Qent looks far from impressed as she mouthed 'Really, dude?' as she stared the woman down. When the woman appears to be too terrified to move Fay Qent throws a right hook, dropping the woman instantly much to Frank Debauchee's horror. Debauchee then grabs the redhead and attempts to use her as a shield but seeing his impending doom moving ever so closer he shoves her into Qent and tries to make a break for the door but Qent grabbed him by the back of his underwear as the woman darted out the door. Debauchee's eyes are full of fear when Olga attacked Qent from behind, an all too familiar scene. Suddenly Debauchee was full of swagger again as he barked orders as Olga to destroy her. This time Qent appeared prepared as she grabbed a nearby tray and slammed it right on Olga's head, sending the genetic freak of a Russian temporarily tumbling down to a knee.
Olga was quick to return to her feet but this time Qent grabbed a nearby pumpkin pie and slammed it right into her face, blinding her as she tried to the wipe it off. Qent yanked out a dresser drawer as a plenty of clothes; mostly intimates and underwear came spilling onto the floor and rammed it straight into Olga's face, causing her to slump at the end of the king sized bed. Debauchee tries to leap across the bed to dart for the door but Qent is quick to intercept him, and with her foot kicks the door closed behind her. Debauchee drops to his knees an pleads for mercy, begging for forgiveness but his pleas fall on deaf ears. Qent yanks him up by the hair back to a vertical base, causing Debauchee to jab his thumb into her eye for force her to release him. Almost Terminator-like Olga had already gotten back up, her face still full of pumpkin pie but at least now she could see. Olga tackles Qent against the wall, knocking over various food off the dresser, the alarm clock, and a lamp all go crashing to the floor. Olga sends some heavy hands straight into her ribcage looking to finish the job once and for all as she began to start hammering down from above on her head soon after as Qent tried to cover herself up.
Debauchee: End her Olga! End her!
Debauchee barked as Olga picked Qent back up by her hair and tossed her like a ragdoll across the room. Olga looked to scoop Qent back up for her Olga Bomb and had her lifted in the air but Qent managed to slip out while in mid air and land next to her. Qent charged forward as Olga had nowhere to go, spearing her against and then through the bathroom door as the wood splintered, cracked and gave way. Debauchee's eyes widened with the look of sheer terror and fear as he saw his unstoppable barbarian wife bulldozed in such a way. Debauchee again makes a break for the door but Qent again popped back up and yanked him by the hair just as he turned the nob and took one step out, dragging him back in and walking him over to the sliding glass door to the balcony. With one hand gripping his hair and the other his underwear she tossed him through the glass, shattering everywhere as he does, his body rolls and rolls, only stopped by the guard railing at the very end of the patio. Olga wasn't moving, and Debauchee wasn't anytime soon. With a smirk Qent walked over and found an untouched turkey leg, lifting it up to her mouth and taking a healthy bite out of it.
Qent: Hmmmmm, not bad.
With that Qent walks out of the room with turkey leg in hand, leaving the hotel room looking like a war zone.
"Gutter Trash" Terri Thompson vs. "The Highlight of the Night" Alison Crowne Hype
With Qent finally getting her measure of revenge the attention then turned to the giant screen in the arena, located directly next to the entrance curtain, the lights dimming as a video package began to play.
Picture stills begin to flash across the screen as Alison Crowne and Terri Thompson can be seen with one another. Both smiling, grinning and in candid shots. One picture shows them sitting in a car together; Terri in the driver seat and Alison in the passenger seat both wearing sunglasses holding up a pair of fast food milkshakes enjoying one another's company on the road. Another is a video clip of the two former best friends playing a game of HORSE at a basketball court trying to one up each other with trick shots. Another still picture flashes on the screen showing Alison and Terri, with one arm around the other helping each other to the back after what could be assumed was a tag match; both exhausted but happy. Images and clips of joyful memories show the two close like sisters.
LONE 2 ------------------------
A clip plays from the end of Terri Thompson's LONE Championship match against the then defending Champion Miss Gucci; the first ever LONE Champion. It was the first steel cage match in the history of the fledgling promotion and Frank Washington was the special guest referee. Frank Washington was a big reason why Terri Thompson got into wrestling and grew up as a big fan of him.
Near the end of the match Terri Thompson can be seen at the top of the cage, her face covered in blood as she looked out to the crowd. Determined to realize her dream she looks forward and down at Miss Gucci, who was laying on the mat. Terri takes a huge risk, jumping off the top of the 20 foot high cage and doing a shooting star press! Her torso collides with Gucci. Both slam to the mat, and Terri bounces off of Gucci and onto her back, kicking her feet in pain while holding onto her ribs. She may have seriously hurt them! She grits her teeth and tries to keep down the pain, blood dripping down her face. She crawls on top of Gucci and lays atop her. Frank counts. ONE!
TWO!
THREE! Ding ding ding!
Johnny Baxter: Here is your winner and the NEEEEEEW LONE Champion, Gutter Trash TERRIIII THOMPSOOOOOOOON!
Terri gets up onto her knees as Frank delivers her the belt. She adjusts it on her right shoulder and Frank grabs her right hand, holding it up in victory while pointing down at her. Terri looks like... she could cry right now as her theme music kicks back in and she starts to stand up. She stumbles a little, leaning against Frank who holds her up. The cage starts to rise now. Terri manages to pick a can up off of the canvas and tries to see if she can get a few drops or sips of beer from it before tossing it behind her. She goes up to one of the turnbuckles, standing on the middle one and holding the belt up with her right hand while the crowd cheers.
Shortly after the clip cuts forward to previously unseen footage from backstage after the show, Alison Crowne was waiting for her and gave her emotional friend a big, squeezing hug. Terri returned it as she clutched the championship in her hand. Alison spoke into her ear, just loud enough for the cameras to pick up on it.
Crowne: I knew you could do it. I'm so proud of you, this entire city is proud of you. You just made history, nobody can ever take this night away from you.
The two continued to hug one another for a few more moments, the cameras unable to distinguish the rest of their words, a private moment between two women who had been by each other's sides since the company's creation.
The clip cuts out to an image, taken moments later with a now composed Terri all smiles with Alison's arm around her and also smiling, pointing to the belt on Terri's shoulder.
LONE 6----------------------------
A clip from LONE 6, ThanksBEATING starts to roll. Terri Thompson had already defended her belt once at the start of the show against Miss Gucci but head to defend it once more against The Glorious One before her night was over.
Glorious One sees Terri coming after her again and she quickly dips out of the ring, causing Terri to follow in hot pursuit. They race around the ring as the official is very lenient with his authority to count, choosing to let this play out within reason. Out of desperation Glorious One ducks behind Robertson, using him as a shield as Terri Thompson has to hold herself back.
Robertson: DO IT, KID! COME ON, HIT ME! HIT ME AND I'LL USE YOUR CONTRACT AS A COASTER! DO IT!
DIC: DO IT! I agree! Test that no contact clause and see what happens. Do it and lose your job Gutter Trash, maybe Kev here can join you in line! Just one finger would be enough to do it.
North: What a coward's shield. Normally I'm in agreement that talent shouldn't lay their hands on non-wrestlers but that shouldn't be a shield when you provoke someone.
Terri struggles as she balls up her fist, bringing it up like she wants to swing; but she can't. Robertson would win and get exactly what he wants, and that's the title off her and around his client's waist. Reluctantly she lowers her fist as Glorious One slowly backs off and slinks her way back into the ring.
Robertson: Smart.
Wendy is so annoyed by such a sly, cheating move, that she runs up behind Robertson and kicks him in the back of the leg.
Terri looks on, surprised at first to see Robertson's leg seem to give out, but then she looks at the reason why and Terri the performer, for even a second, turns to Jill the person and she looks absolutely gutted that this happened, by Wendy no less. That small break of character is gone as Glorious One, who had no idea what was going on, was continuing her move and baseball slides to the outside of the ring, taking advantage of Robertson's in character distraction as Terri goes colliding straight into the steel crowd barricade. The LONE cameras for those watching on iPPV tried to immediately cut away from the outside interference on Robertson and focus on Terri flying into the barricade.
The video then cuts towards the end of the match.
Glorious One is quick to scoop her opponent up off the floor by her hair and slides her back into the ring, her blood steadily coating the canvas as the cut is beginning to swell now. Having no sense of honor or concern for her opponent she begins to use the edge of her boot to target the cut, attacking it repeatedly like a shark to the point that the referee steps between them as they have a brief verbal exchange. The official kneels, trying to avoid getting blood on his uniform which at this spot of the ring was nearly impossible as he tried to assess her capacity to defend herself and whether he should call the match anyway on medical grounds. Terri pulls herself up by the ropes as some of her hair had turned purple as the dye and color blended together like one would expect from a Ric Flair blade job. She shook her head at the thought of forfeiting now and with her one eye that still had full range of site locked onto Glorious One as she strutted over with a desperate superkick! Down goes Glorious One in her own vanity, down goes Terri Thompson with a warrior's spirit! Both women are down, and neither one are moving very much.
North: SUPERKICK! Terri Thompson has made that a staple of her offense over the last few months but it took everything she had left to connect. Glorious One is on dream street after that.
Terri Thompson seems to be aware enough of the count and seeing her proximity to Glorious One manages to peel her body off the mat long enough to lunge forward and drape an arm on her opponent to break the 10 count! The referee is in utter shock and hesitates for half a second before dropping down to now count the pin.
1!
2!
THRE/KICKOUT! Glorious One somehow managed to throw her shoulder off the mat out of pure instinct as Mark Robertson aged about 15 years before exhaling a sigh of relief.
The crowd is in disbelief, Terri Thompson is in disbelief! With a crimson mask on her face she sits up holding up three fingers looking for her belt and the bell to ring but is only met with two fingers from the ref! She put everything into that superkick and if it wasn't for her pride she would've retained via a double knockout, but she wanted closure; she wanted zero excuses. She didn't want to be the kind of champion that got away on technicalities.
The clip fasts forward a minute or two.
Terri gets to her feet and grabs Glorious One by her hair, as she looks up, practically begging to not get hit anymore, pleading on her knees as she's being forced up. She looks over at Robertson and catching onto her nonverbal cue Robertson hops up on the apron and tries to enter the ring, as the ref is quick to block his entry. The Champion however is undeterred as she scoops her up after pointing to the back, looking to pay tribute to her friend as she looks to scoop her opponent up for a sit-down tombstone piledriver but Glorious One had one final trick up her sleeve and out of desperation hooks her index and middle fingers right up Terri's nostrils for the fishhook! Terri immediately loses her grip, Glorious One with the hook manages to land right behind her as the Champion was forced leaning backward into her. With supreme leverage Glorious One swiftly removed her fingers and hit the Spotlight backbreaker and hooked both legs for the cover quickly to conceal her misdeed. Robertson shouts at the ref to turn around and count and he does so.
1!
North: Dammit, NO!
2!
North: NOT THIS WAY, DAMMIT! NOT THIS WAY!
3!
Baxter: Here is your winner and the NEW LADIES OF NEW ENGLAND CHAMPION... THE GLORIOUS ONE!
After the match the video cuts backstage to more unseen footage. Alison Crowne consoling Terri Thompson in the locker room after a harsh defeat. The both sat on a bench next to one another, Alison wearing a pair of navy blue gym sweats and a Royal Plunder t-shirt. Terri slammed her locker in frustration, swinging her fist backwards. While no words were exchanged between the two the visual was worth a thousand words. From the highs to the lows Royal Plunder were together, just like she was there in victory Alison Crowne was there for her in defeat as well.
LONE 9-------------
With Terri Thompson bared from the building it was Alison's Crowne's turn to wrestle twice in one night with the deck stacked against her. Having won a number one contender's match earlier in the night Mark Robertson, The Glorious One's manager was appointed as the special guest referee. As the clips begin to roll, exhausted and all Alison Crowne had the bull rope match won at multiple points despite poor officiating.
With her arms outstretched wide Glorious One paraded herself in front of a very hostile crowd. A “We Want Terri!” chant breaks out, hoping that the other half of Royal Plunder would come out to even out the odds of Robertson's lack of officiating but their pleas fell on deaf ears. Crowne, barely conscious at this point feels the repeated slaps of Glorious One across her face in a mocking manner, causing more insult than injury before eating a vicious boot to knock her back down to the ground. Glorious One drags Crowne over to the steel steps and begins to wedge her arm between the steps and the post before stepping back to size up the best angle to take.
North: Enough already! Enough! You got the ref in your pocket, you got Stevenson watching over you like Satan's Guardian Angel. No reason to try to shatter her arm now, none!
DIC: When a threat presents itself to you; you look to end it by any means possible. Glorious One is only doing what any champion should do in her shoes. Protect the investment, eliminate the threat and get out of Dodge!
Robertson meanwhile is pretending to not notice as he's checking his watch, occasionally looking up to Glorious One with a mischievous smile, one that's returned in kind as she gets ready to take off like a rocket. Glorious One charges ahead with a head full of steam but Crowne moves... Glorious One misses and collides with the steps as a loud CLANK and THUD are heard, Glorious One tumbles to the ground grasping her knee and leg in pain. Robertson immediately turns pale as Crowne will herself up and starts smacking the cowbell on the injured leg!
North: Turnabout is fair play as they say. Crowne attacking that freshly injured leg with the cowbell will neutralize The Glorious One's mobility big time.
Glorious One screams as the metal clangs repeatedly against her leg. Crowne finally stops to grab a hold of it and slams it against the steps! Crowne scoops Glorious One up and slides her into the ring but her opponent quickly rolls back out, the rope still connected but a turnbuckle post separates the two. A tug of wore ensues but Crowne manages to yank back with authority sending Glorious One's head straight into the post, only barely having enough time to throw her hands in front to blunt the blow as she crashes down. Robertson paces around the ring nervously feeling powerless to stop the onslaught without throwing in the towel on his client's behalf. Alison Crowne quickly dips into the ring and rolls out to where Glorious One was at to avoid the obstacle and tosses Glorious One into the ring once again to go for the pinfall. Robertson drops down to count.
1.......
2............................
…................. Glorious One jerks her shoulder up perhaps out of a pure reflex as Robertson waves it off as only a two count.
North: That was a slow count. Blatant slow count.
Crowne pops up from the mat and slaps her hands together three times in a righteous protest; the crowd could've easily counted to 12 from that pinfall. Robertson claims he didn't have a very good view and that his lumbar was acting up and that he was in too much pain. Crowne glares daggers his direction; a rarity for someone who normally was well known for keeping her composure and took a menacing step towards his direction. Robertson, likely remembering her knowledge of martial arts begins to back off, pointing to his uniform before throwing his hands up. This gave Glorious One the time she need to get her barrings about her, as she expertly manipulated the rope, the rope that managed to be positioned just between Crowne's legs, and as she got to her own feet she yanked upwards in a violent manner.
Crowne's eyes nearly pop out of her head out of shock as Glorious One then yanks backwards to send Crowne faceplanting to the ground. Glorious One limps as she favors her leg, clutching onto the top rope for a moment to maintain her balance. Glorious One bounces off the ropes as she drives her good knee into the head of Crowne, quickly rolling off the impact to prevent pressure on her injured leg. Glorious One quickly tries to trap Crowne's arm, looking to transition into a crossface but Crowne quickly goes for a pinfall counter... 1, 2, thre-NO! Robertson allegedly has something in his eye as he stops his count, rubbing it and gasping in dramatic fashion trying to fish out a nonexistant foreign particle.
Crowne sits up and gets to a knee gingerly holding up three fingers again. Robertson once again has an excuse and that he 'couldn't accurately see' what was happening in the ring at that moment. Glorious One quickly slides Crowne on her back for a pin causing Robertson to miraculously heal as he quickly drops down to count. OneTwoTHRE-KICKOUT!
North: Oh, and now he speeds up?
DIC: Still looks regulation to me.
North: That's a screwy count and you know it. Alison Crowne barely had the time to kick out of that and I'd argue that a fresh opponent would have the same problem with Robertson in there making a mockery of the referee's uniform.
Glorious One quickly cuts Crowne's legs out from under her as she tries to get up and hooks both legs in another pin attempt. OneTwoTHRE-KICKOUT! Crowne managed to barely kick out at again as she tries to pop up, this time being captured in an inside cradle pin. OneTwoTHRE-KICKOUT!
DIC: You want to talk about a strategy executed to near perfection? Glorious One is looking to exhaust her opponent with these frequent pins and you can tell by Crowne's breathing that it's working.
Glorious One swiftly grabs a hold of the cowbell and slams it into Crowne's head, the corner catching her and busting her open in a bad way! A river of blood begins to gush out, covering her face and dripping down onto the mat and on her ring attire as she falls down to the mat.
North: This is... I don't have any words for this. She's bleeding like a stuffed pig. Alison Crowne is hurt and she is hurt in a bad way. Her entire face is covered in blood and it's already starting to pool on the mat.
DIC: I'd say stick a fork in her but Glorious One already did that. That's it Alison; you're done. At least have the decency to lose with class here. Admit that The Glorious One was the better woman and end your suffering.
Glorious One grins at her handiwork and gets to her feet, still nursing the limp in her step as she shouts out “WHO'S YOUR QUEEN NOW?!” as the crowd meets her with deafening boos.
Then the comeback came.
Glorious One slowly walks over to Crowne who's laying in a pool of her own blood as Robertson begins to 'record' with a hand crank camera motion, harkening back to last month's tag match as she looks to finish this with The Spotlight and get out of Dodge while the going was good. Glorious One has a hard time trying to scoop Crowne off the mat, sticking to it like dead weight or a drunk who just had too much to drink at the pub. Out of arrogance Glorious One slaps Crowne in the face; Crowne begins to stir. She does it again as she begins to make way in prying her to a vertical base. Then she does it the third time; Crowne stops and looks up on one knee. Glorious One slaps her again and Crowne begins to rise before being met by another and another each slap becoming more desperate. The blood; the slaps, it gave her a second wind. Crowne makes it back to her feet on her own power as Glorious One is taken aback. Glorious One throws a punch now and Crowne doesn't flinch; doesn't react. Glorious One throws another punch, even harder this time but Crowne seems to be impervious. Glorious One throws her hardest yet... Crowne blocks it, and with her free hand points right at her as the crowd pops loudly.
North: How did she find that reserve? How could anyone manage to fight through that? That has got to be 100% adrenaline right there.
DIC: She's only delaying the inevitable, she's going to go out on her sword in a fit of arrogant defiance. She's cocky, I'll give her that. But it's not going to matter.
Crowne hammers Glorious One with a right punch sending the champion stumbling back as she winds back and connects with a second right! With one more right Crowne swiftly irish whips Glorious One into the ropes and connects with a beautiful spinning heel kick to the back of her head; Robertson realizes the champion is in trouble.
North: Tiger Driver '98, Tiger Driver '98! It's not very often that Crowne pulls this move out of her arsenal but when she does that generally tends to be all she wrote!
Crowne lifts her up and comes crashing down, sitting out with the impact as Glorious One is driven headfirst into the mat! Alison Crowne goes for the cover. 1! 2! 3!
The crowd counts but Robertson refuses to do his job!
4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9!
North: Alison Crowne should be the LONE Champion three times over right now. The crowd knows it, I know it, Robertson knows it, the fans at home know it. Instead of a celebration for someone who got put through the ringer Robertson still refuses to do his job!
DIC: I mean... Glorious One appears to be out cold.
North: There's no way you can justify this kind of poor officiating. I don't care how much Stevenson pays you.
Crowne shoves Robertson in frustration as he seems to express genuine shock and grabs a hold of Glorious One's arm, trapping it like she's going for a crossface of her own, but instead of going for the facelock she grabs ahold of her other arm and wrenches backwards. Then with her free leg she starts to kick repeatedly at the back of the head of the Glorious One as she's trapped!
RING THE BELL! RING THE BELL! RING THE BELL! RING THE BELL! RING THE BELL!
North: This is so unlike Alison Crowne. She has always followed the rules, she has always done things the right way so to see her attack Glorious One with so much venom in her strikes and hold suddenly is uncharacteristic to say the least. Everyone has their breaking point before they snap and I think we're witnessing Crowne's right now; she has had enough!
Crowne sits there for a moment with blood dripping on her face as her mind races with ways to force Robertson's hand before she rolls out of the ring and lifts the ring apron up as she appears to be looking for something. Finally she pulls out a toolbox and opens it... pulling out a pair of sheers?
With those sheers her intentions soon become clear as she starts to cut off the ties holding the canvas to the ring frame. She swiftly works on half of one side before going around the corner and cutting off roughly the same length. Rolling back in she pulls back the canvas and the padding exposing the hardwood underneath. Robertson objects, to which Crowne simply responds “call the match”. Crowne picks Glorious One up by her hair. She scoops her up and puts her on her shoulder as she stares dead into Robertson's eyes, telling him one last time to call it.
North: This is too much. Robertson would rather let his pride come before Glorious One's career. Alison Crowne is willing to end another person's career if it means capturing the LONE Championship and prying it out of the Stevenson Camp. No championship is worth being paralyzed over! If she hits the Crowning Moment on an exposed surface like that she's going to break her neck!
DIC: Ironic that Crowne would be willing to turn someone into a quadrapalegic over a belt. The person who always went by the book giving herself the ultimate gutcheck and isn't wavering in the face of it.
Robertson this time was quicker to act as this time he “stumbles” trying to admonish Crowne, clipping her in the leg as he grabs the middle rope causing Glorious One to relatively fall safely on her back and not her head. Crowne clutches her knee in pain as now all three in them are covered in her blood in some way.
Glorious One is in no condition to take advantage of this but Robertson is willing to give the assist once again as he begins to drag his client on top of the challenger. The crowd begins to cheer wildly as Robertson begins his patented lighting count; ONETWOTHRE-------
Terri Thompson had finally made it into the building and pulled him out of the ring before three!
DIC: NO! DAMMIT! WHAT IS THAT GUTTER TRASH DOING INSIDE THE BUILDING! I WANT JUST ONE SINGLE SHOW WITHOUT HER STINKING UP THE BUILDING!
Robertson looks like he's seen a ghost as he begins to beg for mercy. Terri takes her time staring him down, creeping slowly to him before stepping back and superkicking his head nearly off his shoulders! Then she rolls into the ring as Glorious One is barely pulling herself up by the ropes at long last, wondering why the bell hasn't rang yet, only to eat a superkick of her own falling back onto the hardwood portion of the mat. Security storms the ring at this point but Terri quickly rolls out and escapes the other way through the crowd!
North: And with that Terri Thompson may have just taken the choice to end Glorious One's career off the table for her friend. No more Robertson, no more crooked officiating! Now an unbiased official will have to come out here and call the rest of this match right down the middle!
The crowd cheers as Triple D - “Daring” Dick Drothers, an official best known for his time in Missouri comes running down the ramp but they quickly revolt as Drew Stevenson comes out from behind and tosses him into the barricade.
DIC: Yes! Stevenson, Stevenson is here to restore order!
Crowne gets up, unaware that Stevenson was about to enter behind her, as she was looking to hit one more good shot; double tapping if you will, to make sure this one was over for sure. Stevenson spins Crowne around and he shocks the crowd as he slams her onto the hardwood portion of the mat with a spinebuster.
North: Dammit, NO! NOT THIS WAY! NOT THIS WAY! DREW STEVENSON IS PUTTING THE FINAL SCREW TO ALISON CROWNE! THIS IS A SCREWJOB! HE KNEW GLORIOUS ONE WAS BEAT, HE KNEW HIS CHAMPION WAS ABOUT TO FAIL!!
Stevenson throws Glorious One on top of Crowne and fastly counts to three before calling for the bell as the crowd begins to chant BULLSHIT! Over and over.
Baxter: Here is your winner and... STILL LONE Champion... The Glorious One!
From there the clip cuts to some more previously unseen footage as Alison Crowne, walking with a very noticible limp coming out of the arena with a bandage on her forehead where she was busted open. Terri Thompson was waiting for her in the parking lot, without the belt in her friend's possession she could only guess as to what happened. Alison's eyes looked cold and dark as she shot a side glance at Terri as she walked past her, not even uttering a word in her general direction as she loaded up her car and peeled out of the parking lot.
LONE 10-------------
The following month the beginning of a two night tournament to crowne the first LONE Tag Team Champions began, with night two taking place the following month. After some words and seeds planted in Alison's head from her assailant to start the show the team of Royal Plunder would ride again against the Juggalettes. Royal Plunder was the runaway favorite to not only win this match but to make it to the finals. As the clip starts to roll however... things didn't go according to plan.
Quickly yanking Slapp up to her feet, Crowne tags in Terri who enters and immediately puts Slapp down with a hard scoop slam. Arching her back in pain, Slapp reaches out and tries to tag in her partner, Tick L. who reaches out as well. Showing nothing but signs of confidence, Terri smiles and motions for Slapp to tag in her partner. Before she can do so however, Terri grabs her by the foot and yanks her away from her corner. Grabbing a handful of hair, Terri pulls Slapp to her feet and shoves her into the turnbuckle.
North: Terri and Crowne are dominating this contest.
Licking her hand, Terri rears back and smacks Slapp right across the chest as it echoes throughout the building. Clutching her chest in pain, Terri moves Slapp’s arms out of the way and strikes her again. Clutching her chest again, Terri looks at the crowd with the biggest smile she has had in a long time and looking for one more; Slapp darts to the side and gets in behind Terri rolling her up with a roll up.
North: Slapp with a nice roll up!
One...
Two...
THREE!!!
To everyone’s surprise, she pulls it off.
North: WHAT THE? WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!
DIC: Slapp just defeated Terri Thompson, that’s what happened.
Baxter: The winners of the match, Slapp and Tick L.; the JUGGALETTES!
The Juggalettes quickly exiting the ring. The look on Crowne’s face is nothing but shock, like she can’t believe this just happened. Stepping into the squared circle, she walks over to Terri who is on her knees, definitely surprised as well. With obvious frustration and disappointment on her face, there’s an argument between Terri as Crowne is definitely angered by this huge upset.
DIC: Uh oh, looks like there’s trouble in paradise!
North: Upsets happen, there’s no reason for Crowne to be upset with Terri.
Clearly frustrated with Terri, Crowne doesn’t want to hear anymore of her excuses as she quickly exits the ring and begins to head up the ramp, clearly pissed off.
The cracks in their bond were beginning to show and Terri Thompson's face showed nothing but pain and sadness as she watched her friend storm off to the back.
LONE 12: The Rumble-----------------
The next clip cuts to the climax of The Rumble itself. Alison Crowne, Olga, and El Jinte Rojo were the final three in the match of 30 participants. Alison Crowne entered the match at number six, the longest lasting participant in the match while El Jinte Rojo entered several minutes later at number eight. Both were in the match over an hour and a half at this point. Olga however, the genetic freak of a woman from Russia not only entered last at thirty but was built like a brickhouse. The entire roster minus Terri Thompson, who was banned from competing, and the Glorious One participated in the match, including five students from the 4WA wrestling academy. Olga appeared to be the odds on favorite to win the match an earn a LONE Championship match against The Glorious One.
Crowne looks at El Jinete Rojo and makes a circular motion with her index fingers pointing towards one another, getting a nod in response as El Jinete Rojo begins to climb the turnbuckle. Crowne scoops up Olga onto her shoulder, struggling a little due to fatigue but manages to get her in position for The Crowning Moment. Crowne holds her there as El Jinete Rojo flies off the turnbuckle doing a somersault en route to a spike tombstone piledriver on Olga.
North: A Meltzer Driver in a Rumble? I've seen it all now. But how much of that was she able to really hit it with? She appeared to be losing her grip near the end, she's been in this match well over an hour and a half now with El Jinete Rojo not that far behind. One has to question if they were able to hit enough to put Olga away. Frankly, I'm not sure they did. But at the very least it'll slow her down.
DIC: Nobody survives in the Russian winter. You either freeze to death or you slowly starve to death and they look like they're starving to death.
Crowne looks absolutely exhausted as she rolls off the mat, her hands are on her knees, her hair is drenched in her own sweat. It appears lifting Olga up for even that long seemed to exhaust energy reserves that were already nearly running on empty as it were. Crowne nonetheless grabs Olga by her hair and begins to drag her body towards the ropes... El Jinete Rojo sneaks up from behind and tosses her right over the top rope!
North: WHAT?
DIC: Big mistake!
Baxter: Alison Crowne has been eliminated!
Alison Crowne is beside herself as she sits up against the barricade. Olga throws a heavy hand straight into El Jinete Rojo's breadbasket as she tries to pick her up. El Jinete Rojo reels in pain as Olga begins to tip her over the top rope. El Jinete Rojo hangs onto the top rope for all she's worth but it's no use as she's tipped over, however she manages to land on the apron, still holding on! Olga does her best to shove her down and outward but El Jinete Rojo takes the biggest gamble she has the entire match and wraps both her arms around Olga's neck! She uses the ropes and gravity as leverage to try to pull her over the top. Olga struggles and fights for air as she's trapped in the choke hold her body teetering back and forth between staying inside or tipping outward. Olga socks El Jinete Rojo hard in the ribs over and over but she desperately clings on, absorbing the worst Olga had to offer as Olga's resistance slows down. Olga throws one more devastating punch to the ribs, causing El Jinete Rojo to almost let go and fall to the mat but she somehow finds a way to dig in deep and hang on! Olga finally goes limp and tumbles over the top rope but El Jinete Rojo lets go just in time and clutches onto the bottom rope, rolling back inside as Olga's feet hit the floor!
Baxter: Here is your winner of the LONE Rumble and number one contender to the LONE Championship... El Jinete Rojo!
El Jinete Rojo spreads her arms wide in the center of the ring. Linda Edwards steps between the ropes and walks up to Rojo with a smile on her face.
Edwards: Wow! Congratulations! You're now the new #1 contender to the LONE Championship! Do you have anything you want to say?
Edwards holds the mic towards Rojo, who leans in and responds.
Rojo: ... Si.
Rojo holds out her hand like she wants the mic, and Edwards gives it to her.
Rojo starts to... take off her mask. When the mask is pulled off, the long blonde hair goes with it. It seems as if it was part of the mask all along. The short, blue hair of Terri Thompson is soon seen and Terri grins broadly.
North: WHAT?!
DIC: Oh I should've known! I should've known! The smell should've given it away!
The camera cuts for a moment towards Alison Crowne, who was making her way to the back and stopped on the stage to see what's happening. She has a sour expression on her face when it's revealed to be Terri Thompson as El Jinete Rojo, and she soon turns and marches to the back.
Terri pauses, seeing this and responding with her eyes towards the back.
Her celebration wouldn't last long however, as the man who had been making her life a living hell ever since he stepped into the building came to crash the party and attach one final set of strings to the equation.
Stevenson: Very nice... Very nice Terri. I have to hand it to you on that one. You snuck in and stole a piece of the pie like a New York City trash rat stealing that slice of pizza and skittering to the subway. That's exactly what you are, a trash rat! And I think it's time you finally get exterminated so you know what? Next Month, at LONE 13, you don't get your title shot.
Terri: WHAT?! But I -earned- it! I--
Stevenson: NO! "El Jinete Rojo" earned it and she doesn't exist! And don't you interrupt me again! Next month we're going to have a match, since you managed to win tonight, to determine if you get your #1 Contender shot. And your opponent.....
Stevenson pauses, taking a moment to look around at the crowd and soak in their jeers.
Stevenson then stares daggers towards Terri and brings the mic to his lips.
Stevenson: It's gonna be ME!
North: What?! I can't believe this! He can't just---
DIC: He just did!
Stevenson: That's right! -I'M- going to be your opponent! -I'M- going to be the first male to wrestle at LONE! And I know what you hypocrites are going to say! That it's not fair because she's a woman! Oh please! Whatever happened to equals, huh?! Whatever happened to that? Yeah, that's what I thought. So you know what? I'm going to throw you a crutch because I know you women need it. This match is going to be NO DISQUALIFICATION!
Terri: I actually like the sound of that! It gives me rights to kick your ass all over this arena! It gives me the chance to take out all of this aggression for this unjust treatment! You want to disrespect women? Well I'll make sure next month is your time of the month when you bleed up and down the aisle! Ooooh I'm gonna ENJOY this!
Stevenson: Oh I bet you will! I bet you will just like when you take your tongue to your girlfriend during her time of the month you trashy gutter slut! Speaking of your girlfriend! She won't be there to help you and you know what? It doesn't seem like your "best friend" will be there either! I just passed her backstage and she doesn't look like she's in such a good mood. Aww...
Terri looks on with worry now.
Stevenson: Yeah, that's right. So I guess it really will be you and me all alone next month huh? Pack your bags, Terri! Because next month you're going on a trip. A POWER TRIP!
LONE 13: Power Trip-------------
Win and you're in. That's all Terri need to do to finally get the rematch long owed to her. The next clip showed Terri getting ready for her match and doing an interview before the main event; however she risked losing her focus...
Linda: Terri, tonight you face Drew Stevenson, the first male to ever wrestle in LONE. Mr. Stevenson is very accomplished. A six time hall of famer. Are you worried you may never get a shot at the LONE Championship as long as The Glorious One is Champion?
Terri turns her head to face Linda.
Terri: Am I worried? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. But I tell you what I'm not! And that's afraid! Drew Stevenson has given me nothing but shit! NOTHING but shit for almost a year now! He shoveled shit in my direction and I had to take it! All because of something my girlfriend did! Something that I had NOTHING to do with! And I took it, and I owned up to it! But when he kept throwing roadblock after roadblock.
She smacks the back of her right hand into the palm of her left as she says those last few words.
Terri: I kept on plowing through them!
Terri: LOOK me in my eyes and realize!..... I'm not afraid of you. You look me in my eyes and you see that now, and you'll see that when you step into the ring with me!
Terri steps back while the camera zooms back.
Terri: My career has been nothing but overcoming obstacles but I've gotta hand it to you. You've been the one to give me the biggest ones of my career so far. You're trying to strip me of my HUMANITY! You took away my music, my moniker, my girlfriend is in jail and my BEST FRIEND is mad at me! But there's one thing!
She holds up her right forefinger.
Terri: You'll never take from me and that's---
Crowne: What's that? Your title? Because that's all you seem to be caring about!
Alison Crowne steps in now, and Linda backs up to give them room.
Terri shakes her head.
Terri: No. My drive. My heart. And I've told you before, Alison. I did what I had to do. It was nothing personal!
Alison Crowne: So you left me out of the loop? You put on a mask and snuck across the police line to insert yourself into the spotlight?
Terri: Alison it's not like that -
Alison Crowne: Or how about ruining my shot at becoming LONE Champion? I had The Glorious One dead to rights before you snuck in the backdoor and lured Stevenson out to spinebuster me in the center of the ring? Where were you then? Terri, I've done nothing but have your back and when you defeated Ms. Gucci to win that belt there was nobody happier than me; after how much... crap we had to deal with the Gucci Gals. You fought hard for that belt and you earned it. You deserved your time in the limelight. While you were chasing your dream I was dealing with a damn felon jumping me every month without you lifting a finger to watch my back like I've had yours for over the past year. I never held it against you because I knew you had your hands full; you had a tremendous target on your back.
She paused as she looked Terri directly in the eyes as an uncomfortable silence set in before continuing.
Alison Crowne: Then you lost it. Stevenson forced you to the back of the line. I'm not here to argue whether that was right or wrong of him; you and I have had this conversation in private before, but you lost your spot. I still had your back, putting my own career at risk by merely associating with you. Do you know how many death glares I get backstage every single month? People think I'm some angel of death because bad things follow you and I watch your six and they're afraid of invoking wrath from management. I've lost friends in the back over you; people I was close to. But you had your head somewhere else when you took your eye off the tag titles and when I got a shot at something you felt was yours and only yours to pursue... you spoiled it. You made your mess MY business and you've taken money out of my paycheck.
Alison steps nose to nose with Terri staring her down.
Terri stares back at her with a matching intensity in her eyes, silent for a moment. She is collecting her thoughts.
Terri: You know damn well that Drew Stevenson was the one that ruined that match! An impartial referee was coming out there and he got rid of them! I had my hands full with Robertson, who wasn't going to call that match for you, I might add! As for Qent it's just like you said! I had my hands full!
Terri pauses for a moment, breathing heavy. She's angered by her friend stepping to her like this in the middle of her interview.
Terri: You want to talk about losing people in the back?
She gestures with a thumb behind her shoulder.
Terri: I've lost fucking EVERYBODY! My girlfriend's in JAIL! And the way things are seeming I might lose...
Terri pauses, sighing deeply and then shakes her head.
Terri: You know what? ..... Royal Plunder is fine. Royal Plunder is FINE! -Nobody's- taking money out of your pocket because you know what? When I get that title back, you'll be the FIRST one to get a shot against me! And I MEAN that!
Alison shook her head and looked at the ground clinching her fist for just a moment as she shifts her body like she might be winding back a punch but quickly lets her fist relax. There was frustration in her eyes but in the end she knew Terri was her best friend.
Alison Crowne: Royal Plunder is fine. Make it right; send Stevenson packing. This is your fight; your battle. As much as I'd love to kick his jaw into the nosebleeds I know you're going get your pound of flesh. I believe in you; I'm sorry.
Alison spreads her arms as her and Terri hug it out. Terri returns the hug patting her on the back smiling.
Alison Crowne: Give him hell.
The video feed then cuts to the final moments of the no disqualification match that same night.
Terri makes her way back towards the ring, making sure to grab two chairs from the empty section and tosses them into the ring. She lifts up the ring apron and grabs a sack that she holds up with the crowd cheering.
North: Is that? It is! Terri's got the bag of tacks!
DIC: And you want to chastise Stevenson about being barbaric?
North: He's got everything and more coming to him at this point.
Terri slides into the ring and grabs the bag, teasing spilling the contents all over the mat but suddenly Stevenson popped back up off the mat, apparently playing possum over the moments of recovery Robertson brought him and slams a devastating polish hammer straight into her chest causing her to drop the sealed bag. Stevenson then scoops it up and looks at it before punt kicking it straight into the empty section of the area much to the crowd's displeasure.
DIC: HAHA! I bet those tacks weren't even sterile anyway. Probably covered in rust. Good riddance!
North: I'm not sure who the benefits more at this point. But regardless they've both lost a ton of blood already. This match should've already been stopped on medical grounds at least twice but Stevenson won't let them do their job.
DIC: He's got more money than God, are you kidding me? Whatever fine he's got coming is a drop in the bucket.
Stevenson grabs a chair and unfolds it setting it in the center of the ring before he grabs another chair and does the same directly across with the edges of the seats touching one another. Stevenson yanks Terri off the mat by her hair, as they each stare into one another's blood soaked faces. Stevenson throws her arm over his shoulder as he stares at the chairs looking to slam her on them with The Final Conflict (rock bottom). He begins to lift her up... as time appeared to slow down at what appeared to be the final nail in Terri Thompson's coffin... as the crowd began to go wild. Stevenson wore a smug grin as he saw victory in sight where in just a split second his expression drastically changed as his eyes nearly bulged out of his head...
Wendy managed to sneak up behind him and planted a low blow!
DIC: NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NOOO! SHE SHOULD BE IN JAIL! WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE?!
North: That's Wendy! I can't believe it!
DIC: SHE SHOULDN'T BE HERE!
North: Talk about revenge best being served cold!
Terri fell rather harmlessly to the mat, out of harms way at Stevenson clutched his crotch and dropped to his knees as the crowd nearly came unglued.
North: This is Terri's chance right here! If she can get back to her feet she could finally put him away and end this nightmare that LONE's been trapped in!
Terri stumbles to her feet initially unsure why she didn't get driven through a pair of chairs before her eyes widen seeing Wendy. Terri is barely able to keep herself up as she holds onto the top rope as she motions for Stevenson to get up. Stevenson wobbles after getting to a knee, falling back down several times as he clearly failed the cup check he received. Finally he gets to his feet just long enough for Terri to flip the tables as she puts his Mind in the Gutter through the chairs!
North: MIND IN THE GUTTER!
Suddenly referee Triple D - “Daring” Dick Druthers sprints out from the back to make the 11th hour save as he makes a bee line for the ring.
Terri throws her arm over Stevenson as Triple D slides under the bottom rope to make the count. 1...2....3!
North: At long last, at least for one night Terri Thompson has managed to find a way to overcome the Stevenson machine! She just punched her ticket to a championship bout with The Glorious One next month!
DIC: Good luck getting past her. This was a damn fluke and a farce and you know it. Stevenson was screwed! I'm done here tonight; absolutely disgusting!
Wendy tends to Terri as Stevenson is slowly rolled out of the ring as Mark Robertson is there, limping himself helping him to the back; looking back once at the ring wearing a face of worry and defeat before disappearing behind the curtains. Meanwhile Terri and Wendy embrace as the medical team; finally allowed to do their jobs enter the ring.
North: At long last the light appears to be returning here to the Ladies of New England.
For one night at least, everything finally seemed to be okay again. Terri had her best friend and her girlfriend back, only one thing was missing.
LONE 14----------
One more victory. That's all it would take to close this dark chapter in Terri's life. As the video clip runs LONE was treated to a very special moment and a moment everyone may still yet to forget all the same.
Glorious One clutches the belt in her hands and pulls herself to her feet, clutching the center plate tight a she waited for Terri Thompson to get back to her feet. Terri nearly falls down several times but the aid of the ropes keeps her up. Terr turns around.... Glorious One charges....
Terri ducks!
Glorious One accidentally nails Robertson with the belt instead!
North: DOWN GOES ROBERTSON!
Washington: Glorious One has been nearly flawless this entire match but she just made a major miscalculation and it may be the one that costs her!
Before Glorious One can check on him Terri sees her opportunity and takes it as she catches a stunned and surprised champion putting her Mind in the Gutter with her signature Trish Stratus styled bulldog!
North: Mind in the Gutter! Come on Terri, pin her!
Terri rolls over and hooks the leg for the cover as the crowd counts alongside the referee.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
Baxter: Here is your winner and the NEW LONE Champion........ “Gutter Trash” Terri Thompson!
North: Terri Thompson has done it! She was thrown off the mountaintop and she scratched and clawed her way back to the very top back from the bottom! Do you believe in miracles?
Washington: With this victory Terri Thompson becomes the first ever woman to win the LONE Championship twice. Well done! Take it all in and enjoy this moment, you deserve it!
Terri sits up as the referee hands her the LONE Championship as she clutches it tight. She stares into it as Glorious One and Robertson roll out of the ring before lifting it high into the air. Terri tries to get up but she's tackled back to the mat in a hug by her best friend Alison Crowne who came out to celebrate still in her ring gear and wearing a Royal Plunder t-shirt.
North: They've gone through a rough patch the last few months but at the end Terri Thompson was able to get back everything that was taken from her. She got Wendy back out of jail, she made things right with her best friend, she slayed the tyrant and recaptured the LONE Championship.
Washington: In wrestling you don't get very many moments like this and friendship is something everyone needs to cherish whether in this business or in life. When I was wrestling around the world I could count on one hand the people I could consider true friends and brothers. Everyone is trying to get ahead and so many people get thrown off the ladder or under the bus to advance their own career. But when you got a brother or a sister you hold onto them tight and you go to hell and back with them.
North: Absolutely, I couldn't have said it any better myself.
Alison Crowne helps the new Champion back to her feet and the two embrace in the ring, both women exchanging a few words with one another as they hug as the confetti starts to rain from the ceiling. Alison Crowne then raises Terri's hand to each side of the ring to allow the fans to get a good shot of the woman who ended the Glorious One's reign of terror. Alison Crowne then takes a hold of the LONE Championship fastening it around Terri Thompson's waist as the best friends taken in this very special moment.
North: For the first time in what feels like forever LONE has finally emerged from a dark chapter.
Terri Thompson gingerly climbs the turnbuckle and celebrates as Alison Crowne claps and with both index fingers points at her shifts her body towards her with one arm pointing from overhead. They repeat this at each turnbuckle as the crowd still hasn't managed to quiet down from the climax of the match.
Washington: This is what the people wanted, they never wavered from their hometown hero. It doesn't matter how many times you fall down but how many times you get back up. She went through hell Kevin, she went through hell and overcame adversity. I'm very proud of her as a professional and her friend.
Finally Alison Crowne helps her friend out of the ring, sitting on the middle rope to assist her. The crowd gives Terri a standing ovation as Frank Washington and Kevin North stand up from the commentary table as well congratulating her on a job well done. Terri throws an arm over Alison's shoulder as they began to walk up the ramp with their respective battle wounds, injured back and leg for the Champion and Alison's broken nose. North: For my broadcast partner Frank and my other broadcast partner sitting at home in protest we will see you next month! Remember everyone to drive home safely and – WHAT?
North stopped in mid sentence out of shock as Alison Crowne stopped halfway up the ramp with Terri Thompson, swiftly turning around and clotheslining her to the ground! The jubilant atmosphere suddenly had a giant bucket of ice cold water dumped on it. Alison Crowne stared down at Terri Thompson with an ice cold glare, a glare that appeared even more twisted when paired with her broken nose. Terri looks up with a saddened look of shock and betrayal. Crowne doesn't give her much time to process the events as she scooped her up and with a running start powerbombed her straight into the ring apron! Alison Crowne yanks the LONE Championship off her waist and began to stare into it, nearly entranced and possessed by its allure. She slung the belt on her shoulder with a smug smirk as she stared at her own reflection in it. Terri crawls up, her hand at Alison Crowne's kneepad trying to pull herself up. Alison Crowne stares down at her with her ice cold eyes and tosses the belt aside, scooping her former best friend up causing Frank Washington to throw down his headset while referees, agents and other LONE personnel rush out to try to stop her. Crowne then drops Terri on her head with the Crowning Moment, her sit-out tombstone piledriver as the crowd showers her with hate.
The LONE personnel separate her from Terri as Frank Washington approaches Crowne shouting “What are you doing?!” at her several times as Crowne is backed up the ramp.
"They've been building up to this for a long time" Demi notes as the videos continue and continue. "You'd think they would have done the big fight for Christmas. They have a show next month, right?
LONE 15, 16 and 17------------
After her shocking betrayal Alison Crowne stood in the ring in the next clip to explain her actions. With a newfound attitude it appeared her heart had succumbed to darkness, emerging as a person her best friend would no longer recognize.
Crowne: You people are incredibly fickle, do you know that? You love somebody, you cheer their name so long as they adhere to your rather loose moral codes and stay out of the way of your chosen ones. When I was the 'faithful friend and tag team partner' of Terri Thompson's you people couldn't get enough of me. I had the back of Fallcoast's Golden Daughter, I was there whenever things went south and I stayed loyal while Terri chased the LONE Championship. When she ran afoul of Stevenson I was the one friend that didn't abandon her. You loved me because to all of you I put my friend first instead of myself. I 'stayed put and kept my place in line'.
She pushes herself off the turnbuckle as she walked to the center of the ring in a slow and methodical fashion.
Crowne: As long as I was who you wanted me to be you would shower me in praise, expecting me to act like a dog conditioned to perform tricks for a reward. I was supposed to be thankful for that right? The adoration of all you people were supposed to be good enough to pay my bills, like I could just take a recording of everyone chanting my name, place it in a jar and tell the landlord 'I'm sorry, do you accept all these cheers and praises instead of cash, check, or credit?' Or am I supposed to feed and gain nourishment through photosynthesis because 'at least the people of Fallcoast love me, who needs to eat dinner tonight? I'm full from their love.' Do you realize how silly that sounds? Or how about all those months where I was left completely off the card to let some kids who, lets be honest, some couldn't even apply a wrist lock or talk in front of a crowd to save their lives, because they thought it'd be cute to chase a dream they've had for all of what, 2 months? 'We like you Alison and we know we have in you but lets see what the new blood can do, you'll be okay with that, right? Thanks for understanding.'
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Crowne: I'm tired of having to act and pretend that I'm not the best damn thing on any show I grace with my talent. I'm tired of certain people in the back thinking they can suddenly switch careers from being a D list Attorney to thinking they can play Barbie dress-up and be more concerned about what their attire looks than learning how to improve themselves in and out of the ring. I'm tired of the people who think they can come straight out of prison and try to stay clean and out on the street, that their felon status is supposed to scare people into becoming compliant and allow her to take a cut to the front of the line when people like Lexi Pryce, someone who has sacrificed everything to the altar of professional wrestling, someone who was a REAL friend of mine unlike Terri, had everything taken away from her in a freak accident and can't get a booking to save her life today. Cutting in front of people like Lexi who never quite got that second chance to even sink or swim.
Alison Crowne looks to the camera and waves as she broke the fourth wall to shout out to her good friend.
Alison Crowne adjusted her gloves as she quickly maneuvered around the microphone, switching hands as needed.
Crowne: But sometimes even the Devil whispers a little truth in your ear.
A clip from LONE 10 is spliced as her dialogue pauses, thanks to the gift of video editing before resuming.
Stevenson: Look, I know that you’re upset Alison and you have every right to be but I’m not the person you need to blame and neither are The Glorious One or Mark Robertson. No, see, the fact of the matter is this — Terri Thompson doesn’t believe in you and quite frankly, she never has.
Crowne: When I took that spinebuster, when I had Glorious One's career and the LONE Championship at my mercy, through all the pain and the heartache I finally began to listen and open my eyes. What had Terri really done for me over the last year and a half, two years? Where was she when I was getting jumped in the back? Why were my friends in the locker room suddenly treating me as if I were radioactive and abandoning me? Why did she stop me from forcing Mark Robertson to throw the match out and award me the LONE Championship when I was close to snapping her neck; knowing that the only way I was going to overcome crooked officiating was by raising the stakes? Why did she get involved and turn her 'best friend' into nothing more than collateral damage? Terri, you robbed me of my chance to win on my own, by doing it my own way.
Crowne: I accepted your apology despite how frustrated I was at seeing the LONE Championship fall out of reach. Then you got pinned, we lost to a team of two girls in clown makeup. In the first round. You told me you were sorry again, that you weren't in a very good place. I forgave you then when I had no obligation to, because Wendy was sitting in jail and you were losing everything. I felt sorry for you. Again you said you'd make it up to me 'as soon as Stevenson was dealt with'. So I gave you a little more rope to work with. Then the Rumble happened...
Crowne: She entered the Rumble under a mask, 'El Jinete Rojo', without even telling me. No, she wouldn't tell her best friend that she had plans to enter a match she was barred from entering. She doesn't let her best friend in on the secret so we could work together and ensure that one of us makes it to the end after working as a unit to eliminate twenty-eight other women. No, instead she waits until the final three and tosses me out from behind and takes a ridiculous gamble on trying to eliminate Olga on her own. Then on the ramp I watched that mask come off and the pure joy I saw written on her face after she knowingly stabbed me in the back it finally donned on me, Terri you didn't give a damn about me or our friendship. You never have, I was just someone you lead on, tricked... My only regret out of this whole ordeal is that I fell for it, that I allowed myself to think we were friends, that we were close... that you cared about anyone but yourself. And if Wendy is smarter than she lets on she'll see how you treat people who come close to you and she'll bail on you before you have a chance to stab her in the back too.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Crowne: The truth hurts. But you made one fatal mistake... in your desperation you promised me the first shot at the LONE Championship should you manage to win that. As far as I'm concerned we entered a verbal contract, recorded and aired in front of the world. I'm going to hold Jack E. Bux to that too, I'm the Number One contender now. That's the only reason why I didn't serve you to Stevenson on a silver platter backstage before your match at Power Trip, that's the only reason why I didn't take away your moment like you took away mine; because I wanted to take everything away from you myself. Your health, your career, and the one thing that truly matters to you Terri, the LONE Championship. I wanted you to recapture it after you promised me the first shot because I wanted you to feel the pain of me ripping it out of your cold, dying hands. I gave you enough rope to hang yourself with Terri, noose is on the counter; save yourself the humiliation while you still can. I'm done watching on the sidelines and I'm tired of watching other people get opportunities and not even appreciate what was handed to them and I'm done playing the humble card. Bruce Lee said it best, 'if I told you I'm good you'd say I'm bragging but if I told you I'm not you'd know I'm lying.'
The video cuts to the match moments later, ending as soon as it began, Alison Crowne had taken the gloves off.
Ding... Ding... Ding...
Darting at Hip O. with tremendous speed, Alison grabs her by the head in a Muay Thai clinch and hits a stiff knee right to her temple as Hip O. wasn’t even able to cover up because it happened so fast. Releasing the grab, Alison uses Hip O’s own body weight against her and uses her knowledge of Judo to throw Hip O. down to the canvas as she crashes down hard. Immediately locking Hip O. in the Death Note (Side Arm Triangle Choke); Hip O. immediately taps out as Crowne releases the hold and rises to her feet, looking down at Hip O. as if she’s a joke.
North: WHAT THE?
DIC: THAT WAS LESS THAN TWENTY SECONDS, NORTH! What now, huh?
North: I... Um... Well... I’m speechless but have never said that Crowne wasn’t incredibly talented.
Baxter: The winner of the match, ALISON CROOOWWWNNNEEE!!!
Motioning for a microphone after barely breaking a sweat, Crowne is handed one, immediately as she places it up to her mouth and keeps it short, sweet and to the point.
Crowne: Highlight. Of. The. Night.
Flashing a wink while grinning arrogantly, Alison drops the microphone down onto the canvas and quickly exits the ring as “As I am” by Dream Theater plays over the public address sound system.
Fast fowarding to LONE 16 Alison Crowne was in another match, making quick work of a rookie, all to send a message.
With Alison Crowne still having her arm around Madison Anderson as the bell rings she quickly throws her down on the ground and begins a furious and relentless ground and pound as she hammers viciously at her foe's face with repeated punches. Madison Anderson does her best to cover up and defend herself but Crowne's punches appear to be too quick and too heavy to effectively defend as she is quick to find holes in her sloppy defense technique.
North: End the match, call it off. Madison can't defend herself for very long against that. She's trying her damnedest but if there was any time for a TKO this would be it.
DIC: She can always verbally submit but her head's probably so scrambled up I doubt she could form a coherent sentence!
North: Even more reason to throw this match out now.
The referee watches Madison Anderson very closely and is close to signaling for a medical stoppage already as it's clear that she's very close to being unable to defend herself but right before he can Alison Crowne grabs her by the arm, prying it away from her face and flipping her over for a seated fujiwara armbar. Madison Anderson immediately taps out as she unleashes a blood curdling scream.
Baxter: Here is your winner by submission the 'Highlight of the Night'... Alison Crowne!
North: What has gotten into Alison Crowne? I... I don't understand this change in attitude. She was always talented and she always did everything the right way. She had sportsmanship and at the end of the day never wanted to see someone's career damaged or ended over a match no matter how heated things got between the bells. Yet here she is approaching matches with such viciousness and aggression I've rarely seen.
Alison Crowne bends her foes arm at an angle that appears the human body was never meant to bend at, Madison Anderson's eyes were full of fear at what was going to happen next. The official stood there helpless knowing that any sudden move would just cause her to snap it anyway as he tried to reason with her in vain to not do this. Finally the crowd erupted in cheers as Terri Thompson came bolting out from the back, championship in hand as she made a furious bee line for the ring. Alison Crowne kept the hold locked in as she stared at her former best friend, only releasing the hold at the very last possible second before quickly rolling to the outside as Terri rushed in.
North: Finally! Terri Thompson has had enough and she's come out to put an end to this!
DIC: I thought I smelled something rotten, I should've known!
Alison Crowne tapped the side of her head as Terri Thompson glared daggers at her before checking on the unfortunate rookie who was cradling her arm on the mat. Crowne pointed at the championship as she spoke loud enough for the cameras to pick up.
Crowne: You know what I want. You know exactly what I want. This is going to keep happening until you give me the match I was promised.
She held up three fingers as she wasn't done jawing off.
Crowne: Three months, three months since you've won the title without a single defense. What's your excuse this time? Maybe I should go after Wendy next? I know where to find her. Would that get your attention?
Terri's eyes light up as she lunges at her through the middle rope as several referees rush down to try to restrain her while checking on Madison Anderson. Alison Crowne just slowly and arrogantly motions around her waist for the belt as she makes her way towards the back corner of the barricade.
Crowne: Don't make me take her from you first; before you lose your belt. Make the match happen.
Finally a clip from earlier in the night reairs, Alison Crowne fulfills her threat, piledriving Wendy and having her wheeled out on a stretcher, the rage and pain in Terri's face as she was helpless to stop it. That is how we got to this point, how two best friends, close as sisters turned into bitter enemies. Can there really be a winner?
"Gutter Trash" Terri Thompson vs. "The Highlight of the Night" Alison Crowne
As I Am by Dream Theater hits the arena as the lights dim save for one spotlight shining at the backstage curtain. Alison Crowne emerged from the curtain, standing on the stage oozing of confidence taking in the hostile reaction with her arms spread wide. She revels in all the jeers and boos thrown her way as she takes her time walking down the ramp with an appetite for malice glistening in her eyes with a mischievous grin to match.
With with a certain arrogant swagger in her step she slowly walks up the steps onto the apron, stepping through the ropes before stepping to the center of the ring, spinning around slowly with her arms stretched out wide as the hostile crowd boos her even louder than before.
Hello from the Gutter by Overkill blasts on the PA now as Terri steps through the curtain, looking all business as she stands on the stage and looks out over the crowd. She makes her way down the ramp with her leather vest on and the LONE Championship wrapped around her waist. When she gets to the ringside area, she moves over to the hard cam side. She points at a man. The man, holding a beer, points at himself as if to say 'me?' Terri nods. Terri bends her head back and opens her mouth, beckoning him to pour some of his beer into her mouth. He obliges.
Alison looks out to the crowd from inside the ring seeing that familiar face pouring beer down Terri's throat and shoots a nasty sneer his direction. "Oh yeah, look at you buddy. Look at you mingling with all the Fallcoast filth. Yeah, you're trash like the rest of em. You can't have class so you're settling for trash. Way to move on up in the world."
The man smiles and raises his cup towards another fan in the audience for a moment. He shifts his eyes to Alison, barely catching what she has to say but noticing that she's jawjacking at him. He spreads his arms out wide. That's when Terri sprays the beer up into the air in a mist that falls on them all. Terri turns around now, leaning her back against the barricade as fans start to pat her on the shoulder and she stares daggers back at Alison, with the LONE title still wrapped around her waist and her arms along the top of the barricade. She rushes the ring now, sliding under the bottom rope and then running to the opposite side of the ring. She plants her left foot on the middle rope while the right keeps her steady on the bottom. She holds onto the top rope while raising the title high in the air with her right hand, turning and then hopping off the ropes and moving to the opposite corner of Alison.
DING DING
Baxter: The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the LONE Championship. Introducing first, she is the challenger...
The camera pans to Alison Crowne who was wearing a mischievous grin leaning nonchalantly into the turnbuckle.
Baxter: From Gainesville, Florida she is the 'Highlight of the Night'.... Alison Crowne!
The crowd erupts in a chorus of deafening boos, boos so loud that the mere concentration of it all in this building was palpable and almost touchable despite having no defined physical form. Alison Crowne takes a mock bow after parading to the center of the ring with her arms stretched out in dramatic fashion. Piledriving Wendy earlier in the night removed any chance of a rogue element in the crowd from cheering her on. The referee quickly moves to Alison Crowne instructing her back to her corner as she reached out and pointed at Terri, egging her on to come after her.
Baxter: Introducing next, she hails from right here in Fallcoast, Maine!
As loud as the boos were for Alison were as loud as the cheers were for the hometown hero, Terri stood in her corner with the LONE Championship resting on her shoulder.
Baxter: She is the reigning and defending... TWO TIME LONE Champion...'Gutter Trash' Terri Thompson!
With that Terri raised her championship high into the air as she stepped to the center of the ring now. Alison Crowne was quick to meet her at the center jawing off at her pointing to the belt, the referee standing between the two and instructing them back to their respective corners.
North: This is the first time ever these former best friends have faced off one on one. Of course we know what happened at The Rumble but in a match that huge anything can happen. Alison Crowne began training at the age of 15 to become a wrestler so she has nearly a decade of experience already at the age of 25; not common for a young veteran. Meanwhile Terri is only one year older than her at 26 and while she may only have a little more than 2 years experience she's the first and so far only woman to become a 2 time LONE Champion. Terri Thompson is a natural, a blue chip and I'm not just saying that because of the color of her hair. But you can look at all the stats and numbers that you want but the one thing that won't show up the stats is the impact of knowing each other inside and out. They traveled together, they've shared hotel rooms; when you're tag team partners, especially when it comes to the point you forge a bond as deep outside the ring as they had inside you know everything about the other person. You know what they like, what they hate, and their tendencies and what they're going to do in a given situation. When a bond like that is shattered you may as well have an enemy for life and what a dangerous enemy you inherit.
DIC: And you know what, I'm proud of Alison Crowne for taking a stand! For far too long she had that Gutter Rat's back and got nothing in return. She gave and she gave and she gave and Smelly Terri just took, and took, and took some more. You know how the saying goes, these ho's ain't loyal! Sometimes you need to embrace the darkness to pierce the veil, to see through the masquerade and see things for what they truly are. Plus come on Kev, I can't be the only one who thinks Alison has become smoking HOT since she changed.
North: You know she could rip your arm off and beat you half way to death with it right?
DIC: And I still think it'd be worth it. Would you rather be with be with someone like Terri, someone who society threw out with the rest of the trash or someone like Alison, a woman with class who can also kick ass?
North: I'm a married man, DIC. I'm not answering that question.
The referee holds the belt high in the air for all to see, turning to face each segment of the crowd before handing it off the the timekeeper at ringside.
DING DING
Immediately after the bell rings Terri immediately darts for Crowne, Crowne however sees this coming a mile away and immediately ducks through the ropes to the outside. This generates a fresh round of boos as Terri just barely misses her as she reached for her over the top rope.
North: Clearly Alison Crowne isn't done playing mind games with her. She doesn't need it do that.
DIC: Why not? Hell, Terri's friend Frank said it best earlier; Alison is living rent free inside her head. She's already angry and while I'm not sure she ever thought straight once in her life her head has got to be especially clouded and littered with emotions right now. Why not play with your food before you stick a fork in em?
The referee immediately calls for Crowne to return to the ring but instead she walks over slowly to the timekeeper and yanks the belt out of his hands, placing it on her shoulder before pointing to it yelling.
Crowne: You chose your title over Wendy but by the time I'm done with you you'll be heading home all alone! You're about to lose everything, you're about to be another highlight on my reel with this image burned into your mind, get used to this sight!
That's all Terri needed to hear to peel out of the ring and dash right for her former best friend. Alison Crowne tossed the belt at Terri which caused her to hesitate ever so briefly in her pursuit to catch and put it down, letting her foe already put considerable distance between the two. Crowne dipped right back into the ring as Terri slid in adjacent to her, Crowne rolls back out as quick as she did causing Terri to change direction and follow in her pursuit. However this was exactly what Crowne wanted as she caught her with a jump kick to the side of the head as she straddled the ropes, causing Terri to tumble harshly onto the apron and to the floor on the outside.
North: What a vicious jump kick, Alison's martial arts training and veteran instincts knew exactly where and how to catch her. She picked her spot and took it.
DIC: That's how you get CTE. What am I saying, Terri probably already has that giving her self concussion after concussion diving into dumpsters!
North: CTE is no laughing matter, DIC.
DIC: It is when it involves Smelly Terri!I wish she would just go away!
Alison Crowne grabs her former friend by the hair off the ground and slams it several times into the apron before whipping her straight into the turnbuckle forcing her to collide and fall back down to the ground. Crowne smirks at her former friend and shoves her boot in her face kicking her back down as she tries to get up with a cocky swagger in her walk.
Crowne: Come on 'fighting' champion, why aren't you fighting?
She shoves her boot harder into Terri's face as she says this. She goes to pick Terri up by her hair again but ends up on the receiving end of what could only be described as a sucker punch right to the jaw that's enough to send Crowne stumbling backwards, briefly landing on her rear before getting back up holding her jaw. Terri gets up and tackles Crowne, wrapping her arms around her as she drives her right into the metal barricade, throwing punches at her ribs, staying low enough to prevent any similar retaliation. Crowne however knew exactly how to get out of this as she slammed her elbow straight down 12-6 several times targeting the collarbone and shoulder area causing Terri to pop up and out just enough for Crowne to transition to the side for a vicious punch to her kidney. Crowne follows up with several more straight to the kidney as Terri doesn't quite seem to know how to protect herself from it other than to try to straddle the barricade, something Crowne is quick to block by underhooking an arm around her head and neck to restrict her range of movement. Crowne finally stops as she frees Terri's neck, lifting her chin up to stare into her eyes, seeing the pain written in her face, she shoves her open palm right into it shoving her down to the ground.
North: If you notice the referee hasn't begun his usual 10 count to urge the women back into the ring. Jack E. Bux wants a conclusion to this match so he's instructed the referee to give both women a degree of leeway in this match. There are rules, lines that still can't be crossed but unless it's flagrant the official has been instructed to let them have it.
DIC: For once I agree with Jack E. Bux on a day other than payday. Sometimes the guy has more dollars than sense but right now Alison Crowne is doing a community service for us, doing the dirty work nobody wants to do but needs to be done all the same. Good on Bux for letting her!
North: I think Bux more saw a business opportunity that would prevent the lawyers from sitting at the table. I don't think he did this to protect either woman frankly. Alison Crowne is treating this more like a straight up fight than a wrestling match and she's throwing in some techniques Terri hasn't necessarily seen out of her despite their past as partners in Royal Plunder.
DIC: The master never teaches the student everything. Alison has a wealth of martial arts knowledge she can turn to while Smelly Terri might as well be an open book to her. In wrestling Alison may have nearly 8 years experience on her but if we talk fighting in general the gap is even wider. Anyone can fight in a soup kitchen line, something I'm sure Terri has done a lot of, but to fight with some of the best in the country, best in the word; that's a whole 'nother ball game.
North: I'm afraid you may be right there. Alison is a former Florida State Martial Art's Champion. Experience is playing a large role here right now but Terri has beaten Glorious One and you'll find very few women in this line of work with more years of experience than her. Time will tell.
Crowne grins as she stretched her arms out to the hate and jeers from the crowd. Terri holds her back in pain as Crowne hops over it, finding an empty seat in the first row; Wendy's seat, crossing her legs with a smug grin.
Crowne: Oh, you can do it sweetie! Oh let's go Terri! Come on everybody, let's go Terri!
Terri looked up, reaching for the top of the railing seeing Alison Crowne sitting in that seat of all places, seeing her mock Wendy and laugh seems to have lit a bigger fire under her as she lunged voer the barricade and started punching Crowne repeatedly in the face, tipping her backwards in the chair and landing on her from her momentum, causing the crowd to go wild.
North: Terri sends Alison, chair and all onto the ground! She mocked Wendy and that seemed to light a fire under Terri.
Terri pounds on Crowne's face like a woman possessed as she was mounted on top of her. Security by this point has erected a human barrier of sorts between the wrestlers and the crowd for the mutual safety of both. Crowne does her best to try to defend herself but the positioning of the chair makes that task difficult as she's forced to try to cover up her face. The referee still hasn't started his count but verbally urges them to return to the ring, easier said than done at this point. Crowne out of desperation throws a thumb up to try to catch Terri in the eye but ended up miscalculating as Terri came in popped her good right in the eye as soon as she saw the hand come up to move.
North: Alison may have all the martial arts training in the world, and she has some of the best, but Terri can street fight like the best of them. If Terri can catch you on the ground like that she can deal some serious damage.
DIC: That's borderline cheating and you know it! Alison couldn't properly shift her body to defend herself, the chair was in the way and restricted her movement! In a straight up fight with everything even there's no way Terri could beat Alison and I'm sure she knows that! Terri better enjoy that while she can, she better relish every moment because she won't have many opportunities like that against Alison.
With rows of empty seats thanks to security a light bulb appears to go off in Terri's head as she pops up off of Crowne to the delight of her hometown cheering her on for finally getting a few good shots. Terri yanks Alison Crowne up by her hair and with near reckless abandon tosses her into a row of chairs, several skidding across the floor with her before she and several chairs crash to the floor and on her. Technically not illegal but very close to it and definitely a violation of the spirit of the rules. Crowne tries to crawl away towards the barricade to try to put some distance between the two of them but Terri quickly wades her way through the debris and yanks her foe up again by her hair, tossing her into another row of chairs, this time with more authority. Alison Crowne skids on the chairs and crashes in for another rough landing, tumbling through several chairs screaming in pain, suddenly the challenger was the one in danger.
North: Months of pent up anger and frustration are coming out for Terri Thompson. Alison had the advantage early on but I'm sure going through some chairs and having a bumpy skid to a dead end changes things.
DIC: The referee is a homer, Kev. Terri Thompson is taking advantage of foreign objects and effectively using them as a weapon. Chairs aren't supposed to be legal here but because she's tossing Alison into them instead of picking one up and swinging them it's suddenly okay? Come on.
North: It may be a technicality but it is legal, but its' very close to being an illegal maneuver. The referee is just following orders and letting these two go at it.
Alison Crowne attempts to get up but Terri Thompson keeps the pressure up as she hits a running senton onto her former best friend, chairs and all causing them both to crumple on the floor. Terri grimaces in pain as she pops back up, it hurt her no doubt but it had to her Crowne more, she had to strike while the iron was hot. Terri reaches down for Crowne but Crowne seeing an opportunity grabbed the front of her jeans and yanked back with all her might, like she was pulling on a ripcord, sending her crashing face first into a chair that managed to survive the chaos and standing upright. Terri's face rests on the seat. Alison Crowne flashes a malicious grin as she pulls herself up, giving herself enough room for a running start. She sprints and makes a leap in the air, almost Olympic like in form and hang time with her foot aimed right at the back of Terri's head resting on the seat of the chair. Terri just barely has enough time to roll out of the way, the curb stomp missing her by about half a second. The chair however takes the full impact of the move, bending sharply downwards and in.
North: SWEET JESUS! Alison nearly caved Terri's head in with that stomp, just look at that chair!
DIC: Dial 187 because that was nearly straight up murder! I think I'm in love...
Alison Crowne limps forward several steps after, grabbing onto the railing to prevent herself from falling and potentially hurting herself worse. Crowne turns her head backward only to catch Terri rapidly closing in behind her as she took advantage of those several extra precious seconds of recovery to slam Alison Crowne's Mind in the Gutter with her signature bulldog. Alison Crowne appears to be out cold.
North: Mind in the Gutter! If Terri managed to do that in the ring she'd be well on her way to completing the first title defense of her second reign!
DIC: But she didn't! She's going to have to put Alison back in the ring first and that's a decent distance to carry dead weight. You ever try carrying dead weight when you're already winded and trying to catch your breath? You know Alison is going to do her no favors getting back into the ring.
Terri Thompson tries to pick Alison Crowne off the ground but it's like trying to lift a bunch of dead weight or bags of sand, her body refusing to cooperate with her even an inch. Terri Thompson realizes this and heads for one of the exits, walking out.
North: What is she doing?
DIC: She's running, she's getting out of town while the getting's good! Definition of Gutter Trash, selfish and scared!
Terri emerges several moments later with what appears to be a snack cart on wheels. She begins handing out soda and snacks to people in the crowd as she wheels it down, making sure it was completely empty before she placed Alison Crowne's body on the cart. She stops just short of the barricade and unhooks it, partially undoing it as she pushes the cart on through, not caring if her foe's body gets banged up a little through the opening. Finally Terri reaches the ring apron and rolls Crowne in under the bottom rope off the cart, quickly following her back into the ring as she pushed and rolled her a little further into the ring before covering her and hooking the leg. 1, 2, 3! NO! Alison Crowne's arm shot up at the last possible moment, the referee holding up two fingers to confirm!
North: Normally that would've put Alison away, anyone really, but Terri took too long to get her back to the ring.
DIC: She hit her target but was sloppy in her timing and where she did it, typical Terri!
Terri sat up, her eyes weary and worn as she holds up three fingers only to see the referee hold two back in response before burying her face in her hands in frustration. Terri however doesn't waste much time as she grabs her opponent's right leg, the same one that nearly caved her skull in on the chair and began kicking and stomping on it repeatedly and viciously, perhaps taking out some of the frustration from what she did to Wendy out on her. Dragging Crowne's leg onto the bottom rope Terri began to stop at it with frightening intensity causing Alison Crowne to scream and trying to pull her leg away to clutch it. Terri Thompson grabs the leg and drags her towards the center of the ring once she was satisfied and grabbed the leg, forming a 4 with her other before she fell backwards and hooked her own leg on top of the formation, locking in the famous figure 4 leglock on Alison Crowne! The pain shot through her body as Alison Crowne's body sat up almost upright initially, allowing her to to take several swings at Terri's face but Terri grabs the other leg, holding onto the toe of her foes boot and falls back all the way to apply more pressure and evade the strikes. The referee is on his knees now checking the shoulders of both women. Terri's shoulders remain on the mat as Alison tries to hold herself upright. 1, 2.. Terri noticing this uses her own hands planted underneath her to push herself up and the hold upward at a painful angle which now threw her opponent's shoulders onto the mat. 1, 2... Alison shoots one arm up, still trapped in the hold.
North: The figure four is one of the most dangerous submission maneuvers in wrestling. Not only do you have to worry about having your shoulders pinned to the mat while you're trying to relieve that excruciating pain but you're also trying to find a way out before you just have to tap out or risk serious injury.
DIC: As true as that may be if Alison can flip the hold the pressure and pain will all be on that Gutter Rat. I don't think she knows when to release the hold, just like she just doesn't know when to quit before things get worse. She had to keep pushing it with Alison until she finally saw the truth, all because she had to make everything about Terri.
Alison Crowne is too far away from the ropes no matter what direction she turns to. She clinches her hand and holds her face in frustration as she was trying all she could to not tap or pass out from the pain. The crowd is fully behind Terri as they loudly begin to chant...
TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP!
At the challenger. Alison's hand shoots open as she begins to turn to her on her side.... she looks like she's about to tap out...
North: Alison is about to tap out, she's about to tap! Outside of a Rumble elimination she's only lost once in her entire career in LONE, pinned only a single time!
DIC: Don't jump the gun, she's trying to flip it. Come on, Queen Alison!
...but she manages to flip onto her stomach, forcing Terri to turn with her with how their legs were interlocked together! Pain turns into twisted satisfaction as Alison Crowne knows she had Terri Thompson trapped! Terri tried to break the hold but she couldn't with how their legs were locked together, hers seemingly trapped by Alison's who now held all the leverage! Terri tried crawling towards the rope to force a break that way but just as she got within a fingertip's length away Crowne using her upper body strength crawled and dragged them back towards the center of the ring. Terri's fingertip managing to touch but not grasp the rope as she's dragged away.
DIC: AHAHAHAHAHA! Look at that! Cry, Terri, cry! Come on, tap before you join Wendy in the hospital room!
North: Look at Alison's impressive upper body strength, dragging herself and Terri like that. All upper body strength there. Terri looks like she's trapped in her own hold and I think she can't unhook herself either.
DIC: And you know Alison's not going to let go, even after she taps.
North: That's what I'm afraid of. Terri's only hope is to get out or somehow pray for a rope break to give Alison an incentive to untangle herself. Either that or flip the hold back. Even then though both women have taken a beating so far and I'm afraid significant damage has already been done.
Alison Crowne laughs maliciously at Terri's cries of pain as she begins to crawl even further towards the ropes herself this time, leaving Terri what may as well be miles away from salvation and relief. Terri attempts to roll over onto her side forcing Alison to roll with her. The referee has his back to the challenger as he's dutifully checking on Terri asking her if she wants to submit. Crowne takes advantage of this and grabs onto the bottom rope with both hands, forcing Terri back onto her stomach. Crowne interlocks boths her arms on the bottom rope, clutching it tight for extra leverage as Terri's screams get louder with her hand hovering over the mat like she might tap out.
North: Brazen, blatantly illegal by Alison Crowne. She's trying to cripple Terri! You proved your point Alison, you're a highlight. But nobody wants to see Terri's leg snap in two and have her career ended!
DIC: Speak for yourself, dweebo! If Terri knew how to apply the hold then she should've also known the risks. I mean we should be appreciating Alison Crowne's sense of strategy. She just successfully pulled off a broken wing gambit; she used her own injury, she used herself as bait Kevin. She used herself as bait to lure Terri into a course of action she could exploit.
North: I would be willing to give her that much if she wasn't blatantly cheating at this point. There's nothing praiseworthy about that, it's downright despicable!
Alison Crowne quickly lets go of the rope, the bottom rope shakes a little when she turns her head back and the ref turns to her but alas, no smoking gun. The referee turns her back to her again and she locks her arms onto the bottom rope again as Terri's screams intensify once again. The referee turns back to Crowne again and this time catches her in the act, calling for the immediate break of the hold. Alison Crowne refuses and ignores him, in fact she feels emboldened as she threw both of her hands onto the middle rope for even more leverage! The referee has no choice but to begin his five count.
1!
2!
3!
4!
Alison Crowne comes dangerously close to disqualification for refusing to break an illegal hold but lets go of the ropes and tries to untangle her legs, something the referee assists with as she maneuvers her way to the nearest corner. Crowne stretches out her right leg and holds it with a grin that just oozes with the pure essence of evil as her eyes locked onto her former best friend knowing she just did a number on both of her legs and her lower back. Alison Crowne pulls herself up with the ropes as the referee is kneeling next to Terri trying to talk to her. Crowne take a few steps in her corner to test out her leg, and while her face visibly twists into one of discomfort she appears to be able to fight through the pain. The same may not apply to Terri as the referee throws up the X towards the back, crossing his arms.
North: Terri's seriously hurt. The X usually signifies a severe injury, the kind that will put you on the shelf for more often or not. Broken bones, concussions, severe blood loss, just to name a few. Sometimes it is used as a precaution, nothing can be certain until a physician is able to diagnose the injury but right now this doesn't look good.
DIC: There is a God, I am convinced! Bad things do eventually happen to bad people! This is what happens when you betray someone who was supposed to be your best friend for your own personal gain; this is what happens when you use people. Alison Crowne was a victim, Kev.
North: Bullshit!
DIC: A victim! Why didn't Terri have her friend's back? Why did she go behind her back? Because everything always has to revolve around that walking human trash dump. But Alison Crowne has already shown that she's not going to remain a victim, she's the judge, jury, and executioner now and I've never seen a judge look so damn fine! Carry out your justice, Queen... OFF WITH HER HEAD! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
EMTs rush down to the ring, two make their way slowly from the back wheeling a stretcher with them down to the ring, the head physician crawls over to Terri on the mat and tries to communicate with her, trying to find out exactly where the pain was and how to best treat her. Alison Crowne however wasn't content to watch, as a trained eye could see that she was slowly lowering her knee pads down to her shins, exposing her knees. Without any other warning and while the attention was squarely on Terri's health and well being Alison charged full speed and drove her knee straight the head physician's temple!
North: NO! Dammit! NO! That's a damn civilian! That's a fucking medical professional! What is wrong with you Alison?! What a disgusting, heinous... VILE action that is unbecoming of a champion! She should be fined and suspended indefinitely for that and if she somehow becomes champion stripped of the championship too!
DIC: That's what happens what you get involved. You don't get involved. Did you ever hear an official announcement? Did you ever hear a bell ring? For all Alison knows that Physician could've been a plant, someone Terri knows; probably from the welfare office, to give her some kind of foreign object or otherwise unfair advantage. Just like in football you play until you hear the whistle. There is no doubt in my mind that was 100% justifiable. I don't think I'm in love anymore Kev, I KNOW I'm in love!
Alison stomps on the physician without mercy as he laid on the ground, shoving him out under the bottom rope and to the outside with her foot. The rest of the EMT crew split like a punch of bowling pins in an a bowling alley, the ones that were inside the ring quickly peeled out and the ones outside tried to put as much distance between themselves and the ring as possible. The referee gets in Alison's face over what she did, berating her for attacking a member of the medical team. Alison stands there stonefaced as the referee is giving her the business before capturing him in a Muay Thai clinch as she begins firing off knees to his ribs, alternating, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.. She follows that up with two fluid elbow shots to the head, left then right before firing off a very high angled kick to his head.
North: And now the referee is down, she attacked the referee! Alison Crowne just attacked the damned referee with The Crimson Hurricane! He's hurt, he's hurt! He's out cold!
DIC: The heart of darkness, a black heart means you play by your own rules and do what you what when you want. Knowing that you have that power and that confidence to enforce and inflict your will on others. Whew, I'm excited now!
North: I'm not a violent man, but DIC you're pushing me. I have half a mind to knock you out right now.
DIC: What did I do? What, you don't find power exciting? You realize who my lawyer is right? Mr. Varano has never lost a case. Don't start punching above your weight class.
After the official, wisely but unconsciously rolls to the outside with the EMTs now checking on him instead of Terri Alison turns her attention back to her former friend. Alison walks around Terri in a circle as she slowly undoes the velcro straps on her fingerless MMA gloves, sliding them off her hands to reveal her hands and wrists wrapped in black tape underneath. She rubbed her hands together methodically as if she was savoring this moment before dropping down on her knees, mounting Terri and throwing heavy rights and lefts right at her face, punching repeatedly over and over again. The crowd was getting visibly angry and upset as the booing was getting louder and louder but there appeared to be nobody who would run out from the back to throw in the towel on Terri's behalf or put themselves in the line of fire for the sake of the Champion.
DIC: Terri has nobody left to save her or watch her back. Wendy is in the hospital and she turned Alison against her. This is true justice, it's soo sweet and it's long overdue. You have no idea how long I've waited for this moment, all respect to the Glorious One but she wasn't ruthless enough. To put down a pest sometimes only extreme measures will do.
North:This is hard to watch... I... I don't have any words for this...
Terri does her best to cover her face but too many punches appear to have gotten through as her resistance becomes less and less until finally Alison Crowne saw the one thing she was dying for... blood. Terri began bleeding from her forehead and Crowne was all too eager to shove her hand into it as it pooled up, smearing it across her chest, over her ring gear and onto her stomach. Alison Crowne rolled out of the ring and grabbed a microphone from the timekeeper, tapping it several times with her hand to make sure it was on.
Crowne: I've waited a very long time for this. Nine months, nine whole months...
Alison was referring to her first and only title shot against then-champion The Glorious One at LONE 9 in February. She yanked the title away from the timekeeper as she slowly walked up the steps and back into the ring, belt in hand.
Crowne: I had her beat and you stuck your nose in where it didn't belong. You betrayed me, you betrayed me in the Rumble and kept me in the dark. You made everything about you... you never really had my back like I had yours! You used me; I loved you like a sister!
Alison drove her boot right into Terri's face as she tried to get up.
Crowne: And now you're about to lose everything. I broke Wendy's neck, Terri...and now I'm about to rip your heart out and take away the one thing you care about most...
Alison dropped the microphone and the belt as she went to lift her up by her hair, hair that was beginning to turn purple with her blood mixing in. Terri grabbed the microphone and out of desperation, as if she was fighting for her own survival at this point slammed it right into Alison's forehead! Terri's body may be in pain but that lit a fire under her as she grabbed onto the top rope. Alison was reeling from the shot. Seeing the belt Terri picked it up, looking at it and she ran forward and drove it right into Alison's skull sending her down to the mat! It was no longer about the title at this point, it was personal. Terri yanked Alison up and tossed her into the ringpost, a loud metallic CLANG! Being heard on contact. Alison's body hung halfway outside of the ring under the top rope and Terri quickly sprinted, running on nothing but adrenaline and rage at this point hopped over the top rope and came down with a Gutter Guillotine legdrop to the outside, landing on the apron as Alison slowly slid backward into the ring. Terri popped back up and quickly ascended on the apron seeing Alison's body vulnerable on the mat. She pointed to to the sky as she looked up before raising both arms shouting “OH YEAH!” in tribute to the Macho Man Randy Savage leaped off for a diving elbow drop dead center into her opponent's chest. Alison rolls ever so slightly off the impact as Terri goes for the cover; but there's no referee!
North: Terri's got heart, there's no doubt about that. Anyone else would've been put away and wheeled out in a stretcher, like that official just was, but she somehow found a way to not only to get back up but to flip the script! But there's no referee, the crowd can count to 100 and it's not going to matter if no one is out there.
DIC: Wait a minute... how does that guy still have a job!'
North: Is that... it is! It's Triple D, 'Daring' Dick Drothers! The reserve referee is making a bee line for the ring!
Triple D, 'Daring' Dick Drothers comes running out from the back as fast as he can, wearing a referee uniform, LONE's signature reserve official. Triple D slides in under the top rope and gets in position to count...1, 2, 3!
North: What a comeback! Terri Thompson has just extinguished her greatest demon yet! She overcame betrayal, she went in with a heavy heart seeing her girlfriend taken away in an ambulance... she stared adversity in the face and she just made what seemed impossible only several minutes ago a reality! They say the first title defense is the hardest but this is one she'll remember for the rest of her life!
DIC: Son of a bitch! I swear that gutter rat is some kind of karma thief! This wasn't supposed to happen! Alison Crowne was robbed! Alison Crowne was screwed, that was a fast count!
North: That count as as regulation as they come. Terri Thompson just straight up outsmarted her and beat her.
DIC: She... wait a minute... wait just a minute! Ooooh don't close the book on this one yet!
North: What are you going on about now?
DIC: Take both of your contacts out of your one eye and take a closer look. Alison Crowne managed to get her foot on the bottom rope!
Baxter: Here is your winner and STILL LONE Champion... Terri Thomps...
Triple D sees Alison's foot on the rope and waves off the fall! Terri had already reached for her belt which happened to already be in the ring and had her arms raised. Triple D walks over and grabs the belt from Terri, much to her shock and hands it back to the timekeeper. Terri slaps her hands together three times but Triple D kicks the bottom rope and points to Alison's foot, which is still resting on it, the news visibly taking the wind out of her sails.
North: This match has been going on for over forty-five minutes now and we still don't have a winner. Both of these women went for an hour and a half earlier this year in The Rumble, a match Terri would ultimately win under a disguise. That's a feat only a select few can pull off today, gone are the days when you'd have sixty minute time limit draws in the main event or people even going thirty-five, I mean even look at MMA where you go twenty-five minutes at most. Wrestlers today just aren't conditioned to go that kind of distance anymore.
DIC: Terri can take a beating, I'll give her that much. But she's a glutton for punishment if she thinks she can escape this one with a victory.
Terri grits her teeth and goes to pick Alison back up, but Alison takes her index and middle fingers and shoves them right up Terri's nose and yanks backwards, a technique some may know as a fishhook; highly illegal and behind Triple D's back as he was talking to the timekeeper. Terri yelps in pain covering her nose with her face, the blood on her forehead still there but not trickling out as heavily now. Alison smirks and gets up and captures her head underhooked under her arm, lifting her up... hooking the leg as she does....
...and drives her head first with a fisherman buster, the G.O.A.T. - Greatest of All Time!
North: The GOAT! The GOAT! Greatest of All Time! That's Frank Washington's finisher!
DIC: Bravo! You want to really get into someone's head? Finish them off with the finisher of their hero turned friend. That looked almost a crisp as the real deal; definitely had to be practicing that one.
North: Whoever taught her that move knew what they were doing.
Alison hooks the leg as she makes the cover, Triple D turning around just in time to see the pin but miss everything else. 1......2......KICKOUT! Terri somehow found a way to kick out!
Alison swore that she had Terri with that move and yet her former friend refused to stay down. Triple D held up two fingers as Alison Crowne got back up, quickly backing off. Crowne slowly walked over to the side of the ring as she stared Terri down and with both her hands on the top rope she began to stomp her foot on the mat.
STOMP, STOMP, STOMP
Terri slowly begins to get up, slipping back down to a knee once.
STOMP, STOMP, STOMP, STOMP, STOMP
North: Alison Crowne is looking to kick her head off... if she connects with this one it's all over
DIC: Why didn't I bring my catcher's mitt!?
Terri, on legs of jello practically, gets up and turns around seeing Alison coming right at her... shooting forward looking for a superkick...
Alison connects, but so does Terri! Terri hits a superkick of their own, both women getting nailed in the face at the same time! Both lay motionless on the mat, Triple D has no choice to result to a 10 count.
1!
2!
3!
4!
North: They're both out, possibly out cold after that collision. They hit each other at the same time; I'd say whoever gets up first will be in the driver's seat but... I'm not sure we're going to see that here.
DIC: Come on Alison, all you need to do is just get up!
5!
Alison is the first to begin to stir on the mat as she tries to push herself up. Exhaustion was really beginning to set in for both women now and they were pretty banged up to boot.
6!
7!
Alison appears to be the first to her feet but her right leg gives out on her! Terri is on her knees, head and arms hanging over the middle rope, neither acts by Terri or Alison are enough to stop the count.
8!
9!
Terri gets up, if barely, Alison makes a second attempt to get up but falls back down again! Her right leg can't seem to support her!
TE-
Alison thinking quick on her feet rolled out under the middle rope to the outside, her arm hooked desperately onto the bottom rope keeping her upright! That's enough to break the count!
North: Terri was just a single hair away from winning by knockout! Alison couldn't get up on her own, exhaustion has definitely set in and she might be hurt too, she's not putting much weight on that right leg.
DIC: You want to talk about real heart? How about Alison knowing exactly where she was in the ring to keep herself up and in this? Nothing? Really? We're only going to praise the hometown zero now?
North: It showed fortitude on her part. That's about all I'm going to say.
DIC: You really are salty! Look at the boy scout show some emotion!
Alison is visibly struggling to stay on her feet even while holding onto the bottom rope on the outside, slamming her fist hard on the apron. Terri doesn't appear to give pursuit as she appeared to just barely be hanging on herself which gives Alison a few more moments to recover than she may have anticipated as she gingerly rolled back into the ring. The two were quick to close the distance between one another, Terri going a bit further than Alison but still meeting just the same near the center as they began to slug it out n the middle of the ring. Terri would throw a punch! The crowd letting out a big YAY! Alison fires back with a punch of her own eliciting a big BOOOO!
Terri fires another.
YAY!
Alison fires back with one more in return.
BOOOO!
Terri.
YAY!
Alison.
BOOOO!
Terri again.
YAY!
Alison hits several in succession as she begins to take the lead.
BOOOO! BOOOO! BOOOO! BOOOO! BOOOO!
Alison then fires what appears to be a nasty looking uppercut, catching Terri right under the chin stunning her.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Alison leans back against the ropes before reaching in to lift Terri up for the Crowning Moment. She has Terri lifted, she's on her shoulder... but Terri slips out behind her before she can transition all the way through and lands behind her. Alison's leg buckles as she falls to a knee, giving Terri just enough time to recover and rebound off the ropes as she hits yet another Mind in the Gutter bulldog!
North: Mind in the Gutter for the second time, this time in the ring!
DIC: You know what... I've had enough of this.
DIC throws off his headset and gets up from the table.
North: It appears DIC is clocking out for the evening. I sincerely apologize to the people watching for his behavior. Whatever is left of this event I'll be calling the action solo. Right now Terri is on the verge of winning this and she's going for the cover!
Terri goes for the pin all while DIC sprints off down the ramp towards the ring. Triple D drops down to count the pin as the crowd counts along.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
That would normally be enough to win the match but before Triple D could slap the mat for a third time DIC yanks him out of the ring!
North: Of course, of course DIC is inserting himself into the match! Terri Thompson had the match won, she had Alison dead to rights and DIC decides to throw another roadblock in front of Terri! I know DIC has never liked Terri, I know the two of them don't exactly have fond memories of the other but when is enough enough?
Terri thinks she won the match a second time but this time she saw her most vocal and consistent detractor on the outside distracting the official. Terri leans over the top rope as she gets in a verbal sparring match with DIC. As this is going going on Alison scoots herself over to a corner, looking like she was trying to pick her spot, her right leg outstretched, like she didn't want to put any more pressure on it than she had to when suddenly the crowd started making a lot of noise as a woman started walking down the aisle on a pair of crutches and in a walking boot. The limp was noticible, so noticble that someone would have to be blind to not think this person was hurt and yet she was hobbling down to the ring with a purpose. Alison's jaw nearly hits the floor out of shock and Terri notices this as well, a small grin forming on her face when she looks back at Alison's reaction. DIC however doesn't seem to divert his attention, even for a second as he continues to argue with the referee.
North: That... that's Lexi Pryce! That's Alison's old tag team partner! Nobody has seen her in over three years! They've won several tag team championships together, they used to be a mainstay in the southeast before Lexi suffered a horrific injury in an accident. Alison looks like she's seeing a ghost from her past... but why is Lexi Pryce here? How is Lexi Pryce here? There were rumors that she died of an overdose!
Lexi Pryce makes her way slowly up the steps and seems to have some difficulty trying to get in through the ropes, Alison is scooting away as she had her eyes locked on Lexi. Terri smirks and looks to Lexi and points at Alison which gets a nod out of Lexi. Terri comes over to the ropes to help her in...
CRACK!
Lexi Pryce cracks Terri Thompson in the head with her crutch!
North: It was a set up! Alison Crowne had one final ace in the hole! Dammit, no! Not this way! Not this way!
Worry suddenly turns into a wicked smile as Alison sees Terri fall like a tree in the forest as Lexi returns a wicked smile of her own in return. Alison crawls over and covers Terri, hooking both legs as she does. DIC swiftly ushers Triple D back into the ring. Triple D slaps his hand on the mat to count the pinfall. 1.....2......3!
Baxter: Here is your winner... and the NEW LONE Champion... 'The Highlight of the Night'... Alison Crowne!
The Fallcoast crowd is stunned by what they just saw, about who they just saw and the reality that their hometown hero fell in defeat. DIC makes a bee line for the timekeeper and yanks the belt away as he points and laughs at the crowd as he sidesteps and almost skips around the ring to where he can slide the belt to Alison. Alison retrieves the belt as she gets on her knees, clutching and staring down at it. The crowd was inconsolable at the result hoping against hope something would overturn this travesty, but their prayers wouldn't be answered. Alison rolled out of the ring and embraced her old tag team partner in a hug while Terri laid knocked out in the middle of the ring.
North: Make no mistake about it, Terri fought like a true champion here tonight. She gave everything she had and more, even in defeat there's no doubt in my mind that she's the rightful LONE Champion. Alison Crowne stooped to the lowest depths I've ever seen in all my years in broadcasting tonight. She should be fined, she should be suspended, and she should be stripped of the championship, in my humble opinion. To see someone so naturally talented like Alison Crowne resort to such dirty and reprehensible tactics is such a damn shame. For everyone here at LONE we thank you for welcoming into our homes tonight, drive home safe and we'll see you next month. Fucking ridiculous...
Alison raises her belt high in the air with her arm around Lexi before resting the belt on her shoulder, the center plate glistening in the light. Alison and the woman she proclaimed as her real best friend several shows ago, Lexi Pryce both limped up the aisle with wicked grins knowing that they just pulled off the heist of the year. The PPV feed slowly fades out.
For those in attendance, special and not shown on iPPV, when Lexi and Alison make their way to the stage, Alison gets a microphone and holds it up to Lexi.
Lexi: I am the Devil! And I'm here to do the Devil's work!
Alison tosses the microphone down now and holds up the title. The two then turn their backs and walk through the gorilla curtain while staff tends to Terri in the ring.
