Yu Yan/History

Yu Yan or Monkey to her friends is the daughter of Sun Wukong the infamous Monkey King of legend. Created from a single hair from the Monkey King Yu Yan was named after her beautiful smile and trained as a warrior for the celestial court. She does not know how long she served in the courts until she was allowed to leave for Earth, but she arrived in Earth along side her Father during the Song Dynasty of China, roughly around 1020 AD. She served her father on Earth for several hundred years before he left. After his departure Yu Yan was invited back to the Celestial Court, but decided she liked humans, and well getting into trouble so stayed behind.

She was wandered the Earth as a Street magician and performer never staying in one place to long. Some time around 1820 she vanished from the Earth, many that knew her thought she returned to the Celestial Court, but rumors arose of her becoming lost in the world of spirits. Wherever Yu Yan went she returned to the world some time in the 70's and has been very tight lipped about her absence and sudden return.
