- Language - If you speak Russian, Greek, or Latin, Velok will understand you. When he speaks Russian it's with a very obvious accent indicating it was learned and not his first, however when he speaks Greek or Latin (Classical or Vulgate), it is fast and fluid and includes slang, as if he was plucked out of Rome or Athens itself. He also understands and speaks Vulcan, but you'd have to be rather special to hear that.
- Opera - He doesn't look it, but the man loves him some opera.
