Here are some specific examples of specialties that are narrow enough to be approved (i.e. would not apply to virtually all rolls involving that stat). Rejected entries can be appealed if you think it's narrower than what staff envisioned.

  • Soaking damage (this isn't a voluntary action, it's a reflex)
  • Tough as Nails (which Stamina rolls would this not apply to?)

Charisma
Appearance
Perception
Intelligence
  • Book Knowledge
  • Analytical
Wits
  • Snappy Patter
  • Ambushes

For primary abilities, your specialty may be a secondary ability that it overlaps (even if you don't have any separate dots in that secondary).
