- Some supernatural entities are better than others at playing the Masquerade game. Tariq just is not that good at hiding the fact that he's something. Whereas he's almost always walking around in a human suit, almost anyone with half a lick of sense or a few extrasensory powers has a chance of picking up on it. Even mundanes are liable to notice that not everything about him is kosher, though. Whether it's the glowing eyes, or the hot wind that cycles around him, or the fact that he's just plain literally hot (to the touch) to begin with, there are bound to be some eyebrows raised and questions asked.
