"The hands of the king are the hands of a healer, and so shall the rightful king be known."

xxxxxRichard Preston Sterling was born in the early years of the 1960s, during the very beginnings of the Age of Aquarius. His family was a wealthy one, and he wanted for nothing. However, his life would change at an early age. When he was just a boy of seven, man walked on the moon and magic returned to the Earth. That night, while watching the sky with childish awe, he was visited by the returning Lords of Arcadia. His body became host to one of those Lords, an ancient scion of House Fiona. The years after were the hard years, as the Accordance War raged across America. Though possessed of his House's legendary fearlessness, young Richard grew to despise war and longed to make peace. Once he was of age, he made the decision to attend medical school, to become a healer and become the very embodiment of noblesse oblige--leadership through service to his fellows.
xxxxxAfter completing medical school, Richard joined the humanitarian organization known as Doctors Without Borders. He was sent to the Middle East to practice his trade. During the First Gulf War, he was witness to the very worst atrocities men can visit upon each other, and the experience scarred him deeply. But he soldiered on, bringing his healing touch to all that he could. For twenty years, he worked in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan, doing his best to ease the pains of the war-torn land. Recently, he received news that his mortal father had went the way all men must, and that he had inherited much of his fortune. He has returned to Prospect to take possession of his father's estate and to establish himself among the Kithain of the land. Now, he brings his healing hands to the land of his birth, where he hopes he can do as much good here as he has done abroad.
