- Reflections of A Life
- Distant Planet by Savalas
- Everyone has a reason to fight,
- To struggle against those who would take it all away.
- For a belief,
- A need.
- For something precious,
- Someone we love.
- For those of us born into this life,
- We must ask ourselves:
- What do we fight for?
- For whom?
- Ask ourselves what our reason is,
- Learn it, discover it,
- Understand it.
- A soldier who fights without a reason,
- Without a cause he believes in,
- He who fights because he's told to,
- He is no soldier at all.
- We are soldiers,
- Fighting not to win a war,
- But to keep alive a sliver of hope
- After the world's ruin.
- Remember our reason,
- Remember our cause.
- Keep it in our hearts
- Because it fuels hope.
- It is our only light on this dark path
- To hold back fear and despair,
- It whispers to us,
- Daring us, challenging us.
- And that whisper will rise to a roar
- On the day we need it the most,
- Until it is silenced
- When we draw our last breath.
- What is your reason?
- When we look back at our lives,
- See all that we've done,
- All our achievements and victories,
- Mistakes, and defeats,
- Joys and loves,
- Grief and heartbreaks,
- What would it be?
- Do we stand with our chin up,
- Proud?
- Or do we cry and cower
- In the face of a life of regrets?
- Those we fight for,
- Those whom we die to protect,
- How will they remember us?
- Will they see us as heroes?
- Cowards, or failures?
- Do they still love us?
- Who are we?
- Everyone has a choice
- How to come to our end,
- How we will remember ourselves,
- How we will be remembered by those we leave behind.
- Do we fight against the darkness?
- Rise up, and defy it?
- To keep alive that small spark of hope,
- Sacrifice ourselves so that others may live?
- Or do we give in to despair,
- Admit defeat,
- Escape, run away,
- And doom those we love?
- The choice is ours.
- It's always been ours.
- When will you Rage?
- Finally, this question:
- How will the story end?
- Who reads the final chapter,
- And closes the last page?
