Raymond Frederick Burnum, on the surface, seems like a tragic tale of a life of bad  decisions and luck. He's bounced from town to town, all over the place, and seems to be just another schmo destined to live that bad plot in life.   While most see his life as tragic, some might see it as a long history of gaining experience,  contacts, and knowledge that serve him well in what he does.  To most he seems to be an unassuming or out right insane individual, and   telling the difference between the truth and lies from him is nigh-impossible at times. He  never seems to tread the normal path when dealing with others, and keeps himself shrouded in a carefully fabricate shroud of mystery.    Despite the odd way he deals with strangers, he has many allies in the city,  and seems to always know what is going on  in the streets.    He keeps  others from truly knowing him through confusion, trickery and  avoidance.  Few will ever really get to know him,  and for many that is probably a good thing.
