From that nothing came a gas, from that gas came a flame, and in that flame and the miracle of factors that created it there was Something. Man found it and knew it to be more than nothing. Man was afraid, but all emotion leads to inspiration. From Something, they learned to use heat and fire to master the other elements; the power of Making. Others saw the power of Making and how they could not escape it, and they grew angry. They knew they could not lash out at Something directly, and worked through their own fell agents. The horrors of Others clashed with the Men of Something, and in that war the very rocks and gasses which Anchored Something were destroyed. xxxxxAnd 'lo!, in Something's destruction, the power of Making was seen. Even as Something was returning to the nothing from which it came, a fragment of its very essence was preserved in a gift of glass left to it in offering; an idol of what one young visionary believed Something would be in Man form. Though the new Anchor cracked and nearly shattered, it survived. It was the end of Something and its rebirth as the mythos Man had given it. xxxxxIt was the beginning of Pyr, his long Slumber, and the first iteration of the Order sworn to serve him and protect his damaged Anchor.
