Introduction
Laith Durron was born and raised in Philadelphia. There, he made wrong choices and ended up living a life of vacuous criminality. Right up until one day, when he took a little too much cocaine that had been stepped on one too many times. He was struggling to live through this narcotic haze, seeing the light... when something else saw him.

Stonescraper was the name it had acquired in the eons spent in the Pit. It was an old being, once a trusted Angel of the Maker, then a vassal of the Morningstar in his rebellion against the Celestial Tyrant. And finally, a servant to a powerful Baron of the Abyss. Stonescraper found that dying, hopeless man and latched on to secure his freedom from the embrace of Hell. And so began their story together...

Stereotypes
Houses
Defiler.png Defilers: There's something admirable about the Defilers - the way they manipulate and charm and inspire with the smallest effort. All too often, though, their gifts make them lazy. It is sad that it escapes them all too often that true accomplishment comes through industry.
Devil.png Devils: True leaders by nature, the Devils are easy to admire. They manipulate and politic with ease and with purpose. They are necessary to have among the Fallen.
Devourer.png Devourers: Destructive and primal, these are opposite to my nature. It is easier to destroy than to create, and I despise that these Fallen are so adept at it. While destruction may be necessary at times, it is always regrettable.
Fiend.png Fiends: To dabble in death and prophecy is alien to me. Either all will run its designed course, or even the Maker could not set the future in stone. Either way, the effect is the same, and we must each carve our own path. To worry about or try to understand what ought to be or what was is an exercise in pointless vanity.
Scourge.png Scourges: I don't understand them, truth be told, nor did I in the time before the Rebellion. It must be miserable, to have your nature be to protect those who have forgotten all we've given for them, and who have done nothing but spoil and corrupt the endless wonder they have been gifted with.
Slayer.png Slayers: Harbringers of death, these Fallen are necessary, but not ones that I would want to call upon lightly. To kill a human is to waste a resource, and must only be done after careful consideration about whether that resource could be put to better use.
Factions
Cryptic.png Cryptics: Sooner or later, the questions have to stop. We had long enough to wonder and theorize in the desolation of the Pit. Now is the time to work and to experience the wonders of this world we made, and which mankind has tried to ruin. Now is the time for justice.
Luciferan.png Luciferians: I understood this outlook in the early days of our imprisonment in the Pit. Indeed, I was among them in the early days. I served the Morningstar and had the honor of touching his very form. I understand the desire for him to come again, but we languished for eons and got our freedom without him. The Morningstar is in the past, or maybe in the future. We must focus on what we know now, and that's that we must make do and have our revenge without his aid.
Ravener.png Raveners: They are misguided, though their thoughts make sense. We can no longer create as we used to. We have to work in the constraints of what we have. To destroy everything would squander the very resources we must have to bring justice to the world.
Reconciler.png Reconcilers: The brow-beaten. The cowards and traitors. We all made our choices long ago, to rebel and to elect for the Pit instead of non-existence. They want to seek mercy from the hands of the Celestial Tyrant after all that? Contemptible.
Others
Changeling Fae: A myth, I would think.
Mage Mages: I've seen humans able to do the tricks that these do, using gifts handed down from the Fallen. They are, even with those blessings, still human. Perhaps worse still, given even greater gifts and still using them only in selfish, arrogant pursuits.
Mortal.png Mortals: The grandest of all creation, which retain an element of the sublime since their creation. Nonetheless, true evil came from them. They were given everything - not by the Maker, but by us and through our sacrifice. And in return they have simply forgotten us, maligned us, and corrupted and destroyed all the wonders granted to them. We were cursed to love them, but now I see, it is best to only love them for the tools they might be, not for the abominations they are.
Vampire Vampires: The cursed progeny of the first murderer, the one who taught us to kill and to destroy. Their ancestor unlocked a powerful tool, but these are ultimately destructive beings, the progeny of one that was adored beyond all reckoning, and only wanted more.
Werewolf Werewolves: Apparently not a myth, and not limited to werewolves. A parlour trick, compared to what we taught the humans to do during the Rebellion. Probably some vestige of information passed down, along with another false creation myth.

Contacts
Fallen and Faithful

The Pastor: Lauded brother. Fleeting memory tells me we were rivals a long time ago, but perspectives change so much. He remains an important one to know.
The Curator: Brother, with a manner seemingly opposite my own. Still, ties bind.
The Dancer: A rock on the path is the damnest thing.
The Comrade: Brother, with whom I served for untold millenia. I have distant memories of him, precious to me with our reunion.

Others

The Believer: Broken perfectly for me, and me for her.
The Firecracker: She's crazy, but she's a very entertaining and endearing sort of crazy.
The Drowner of Sorrows: Fellow craftsperson, never a dull moment when we're splitting a drink-tab.
The Professional: A strong and admirable woman. I thought we'd be good friends, but it seems acquaintances will have to do.

Jeweller - Laith is a jeweller of considerable skill. He is planning on opening a business in town. Presently, he's scouting locations and getting permits. Soon, he hopes to have a small commercial space set up, for the selling of his wares.

Demon - Laith Durron is possessed by Stonescraper, a demon with a notable past. He was named Creidhne (pronounced Creynya) when he was an Angel, and he was a significant member of the Third House, tasked with imbuing strength to metal. He was one of those who flocked quickly to the banner of Lucifer and, during the Age of Warth, was a subordinate of a subordinate. His feats of creation in combat with the Celestial hosts were renowned, and he was named 'Metalspeaker'. When Lucifer's forces were initially, seemingly triumphant, he assumed a vaunted role with the Silver Legion, and was named its Chief Weaponsmith, in direct service to Asmodeus. When banished to the Pit, he was tasked with attempting to find a way out of the prison, and was named Stonescraper. When Asmodeus vanished, he entered the service of another of Hell's most powerful demons, Baron Abraxas, whom he served until his own escape from the Abyss. Odds are most other demons would know of him, and if not, they would surely know of the power of the lieges he has served.

Criminal - Laith Durron, before being taken over by Stonescraper, was a criminal in Philadelphia. Over the past six or seven years, he's been charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), living off the proceeds of prostitution, possession of stolen property, possession of an unregistered firearm, and possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking. He was punished with progressive discipline, working his way through parole and probation, before ultimately serving short sentences and, finally, a two-year stint. When one runs a criminal record check on him, one is quick to discover that he has led a life of minor, low-life criminality.

Philadelphia - Even worse than being a demon and being a criminal, Laith is from Philadelphia. If you are from there, you might know him (provided you're a low-life or a cop or prosecutor). Otherwise, you can at least chat about the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers. Or about the time you both threw snowballs at Santa at an Eagles game. Because, honestly, that's how people roll in Philly.

Addiction - With the body of Laith Durron came the addiction. He's a cocaine addict. Maybe you will be the source of his fix, or maybe he will be able to hook you up. Or maybe you'll just go out on a drug-fuelled night of partying.
