Hope is a very unique little girl. She's twelve years old, and she is Alexandre's primary concern in this world. For those with the ability to sense Pure Breed, the girl has Pure Breed 5 (White Howlers). Basically, she is Spiral kin who is a White Howler throwback. Spirals kill these ones when they show up, for the most part.
In addition, Hope is Sidhe Kinain.
Hope and Alexandre have a complicated relationship, but when it comes down to it he will kill anyone he has to in order to keep her safe. Anyone who gets between him and his girl will lose, as far as he is concerned. He has drawn blood to keep her safe in the past, and he knows that he will again.
