He woke up in a hospital, barely alive. He now has jagged scars across his torso. This experience and the scars that it left didn't supplant his curiosity with fear, but only fanned the flames. He decided that he needed to learn more about these enemies before he encountered them again, and only place that he could think to begin to learn was from the government. He didn't manage to get very far before they not only had him made, but reverse hacked into his computer to find out what he already knew, if anything. Once they saw the things that he already knew or was interested in, namely cryptozoology and bio-chemistry, they decided to recruit him. They gave him an offer he really could not refuse, and he ended up signing his contract in red pen instead of blood. Ever since that point he has had an outlet not only into supernatural playthings, but his experimental tendencies on the human body.
