The command to place a picture into this space is
[File:GuidePic.jpg|center|300px]
(using two [[ symbols instead of one at the beginning and the end. The guides picture on the main page is an excellent example of the code needed.)
To upload a picture
Step 1: Sign in as a user.
Step 2: Click upload file to your left
Step 3: Select browse and search you computer for the picture you wish to use.
Step 4: Scroll down and hit upload.
Step 5: replace the file name GuidePic.jpg in the above sample code with your own file name.
File:GuidePic.jpg|center|300px
File:GuidePic.jpg: This is the bit of code that puts YOUR picture in the proper place.
|Center: This bit of code puts you picture in the center of the space, or to the right or left if you use those words. You can actually remove this word altogether if you like.
|300px: This bit of code is the size of your picture. Honestly 300 is probably the largest you should ever make a picture.
