Cherazart had a very rough life before coming to California. Loosing her parents at a very young age led her to live on the streets. From there, life got worse as she was kidnapped by gangs in the Austin, Texas area and sold as a sex slave for years. Her only escape during this time were her sketches and she fixated on her art in an effort to keep herself sane. Fortunately in her early 20s, she found the opportunity to escape that life and fled to California. There, her situation improved in ways she would never think possible. With Father Cross' and Clara's help, she got off the streets and managed to get her GED. In the process she discovered her real name was Diana Foster. During her darker years she created her own name, Cherazart Cono, inspired by Scheherazade in the 1001 Arabian Nights stories so she still goes by Cherazart or Chera, since her new name shows a deeper level of creativity. Even while she was on the streets and a victim of human trafficking, she would sometimes get away to discover some literature while trying to study art. Such studying had, and continues, to keep her sane. Now that her home has burned down, her life has drastically changed especially when she discovered the arsonist. Gone is her weak compassion as she struggles to look at the world with new, hopeful but also jaded eyes. Her marriage to Michal has also taken a turbulent turn, and the troubles inspired her to seek the loving embrace of Kidd, a fellow artist and someone she previously feared and failed to trust. Now, she finds her obsession with Kidd growing and due to her choice and due to the destruction of her home, old friends are seeming to become a part of her past. While she aches for those she loves, she welcomes motherhood and constantly thinks of new creations that will help inspire and motivate her to live a peaceful life.
