[ edit ] RP Hooks New Orleans - Sammy was born and raised in New Orleans, and spent pretty much all of the last century there. She was a big name in the Kindred scene there, and a force behind the scenes in the mortal underworld. She can easily have known folks there. Poor Childhood - Sammy grew up with nothing. Her father was a cutthroat and gambler and her mother was a cheap whore. She grew up around poverty and violence, and it was only her beauty and natural singing ability that pulled her from the gutter...along with her ambition. Singing - She began singing as a backup singer at the Clubs in New Orleans at a young age, and when the Speakeasies opened she became a real hit. Widow - Before that, though, she fell madly in love with a young writer named Douglas. They were wed not long before he ended up being pulled away for The Great War. He died in battle, and she was widowed. Embrace - She poured her sorrow into her music, and she drew the attention of Claudia. She was Embraced one muggy Summer night, and she almost immediately threw herself into the night. Camarilla - Unlike most of her Kind, her Sire was a member of the Camarilla, and Sammy followed suit. Over the decades she became quite prominent as one of the main runners of social events for the Kindred. Club - She ended up opening a club named 'The Last Light', which became hugely popular both among the Kindred and the Kine. Crime - Behind numerous layers of secrecy, Sammy controlled large swaths of the criminal empire of Louisiana. Drugs, prostitution, whatever. Now that she's moved to Prospect she's begun to become involved again. She's unlikely to ever be pinned for something, or be connected to anything however...like a good Vampire. Prospect - Recently her Sire met the dawn during a Sabbat attack, and she decided to leave. The thought of her Sire's loss simply hit her too hard.
