- Finishes with all school and training, and is sent to Afghanistan for a tour. Encounters severe Dimensional Anomaly in the form of cultists worshiping an Outsider. Helps put down the cult, and the alien thing. She becomes Enlightened in the battle, and her field report draws the attention of the Technocratic Union, which has her cycled out of Afghanistan into a private training facility in Ft. Wayne.

- Undergoes intensive training to join the Border Corps.
- 2008-2013
- Assigned as squad leader to the security forces on the Magellan, a deep space cartography vessel. Numerous encounters with deep space threats. While only 5 years pass on Earth, it is a twenty year trip. The temporal anomalies of deep space allow for a lack of aging for the entire crew. It is the only way deep space exploration is possible. The XO of the vessel succumbs to Outsider interference, becoming Nephandi. Captain Felicity O'Rourke is forced to put him down.
