The most terrifying nightmares are those in which you never see the monster. Most assume this to be a fear of the unknown. This would be wrong. The most fearsome of dreams are those in which you are the monster, watching as you fulfill your awful role. And that nightmare can follow you to the waking world in the form of the beast.
