She thought she'd marry a miner and pop out a half dozen children for him, like most of the people in town. Destiny, however, is a fickle bitch. When she was fourteen she was taken from her home by the 'Voivode of the Rockies', a feared Autarkis Tzimisce. He took her to his home deep in the mountains, and she spent the next four years as his slave and 'Apprentice'. There were two others as well, Kelly and Dawna, and the three -never- got along.
