Where to begin?  Sha'ul Trekome came into this world as a Garou under a full moon.  His mother died early in his life, and he has vague memories of her.  That left him with his father and grandfather raising him, and a fair job they did too.  They taught him about the core values the Marine Corps taught both of them, how to stalk and hunt prey, how to shoot, how to fight, and that he was meant to be a fighter.  They were never able to teach him beyond that though; a major car accident took them both before Trekome could learn about being a Garou.

Trekome enlisted in the Marines as soon as he hit 16 and was able to have his legal guardian sign off on the paperwork. Boot camp, then SOI, then selection for Scout/Sniper school. A solid performance in Iraq, high marks, and working hard on a degree earned him a slot into OCS. He was fast tracked through the major training, and was assigned to a Recon Battalion as a Platoon Commander, just in time for a deployment to Afghanistan for Operation Moshtarak.

An Ahroun with no experience as a Garou and sent to war makes for a dangerous combination though, and it's taken its toll. The young Lieutenant quickly realized that there's a lot more to his nature, and that everything his father and grandfather taught him was leading up to something. He left active duty and dropped into the reserves, and set off to search for answers, leading him to the City.
