♦ Anarch: The Anarch is a metaphysical ideal figure of a sovereign individual - the concept of self-ownership is that each person enjoys, over himself and his powers, full and exclusive rights of control and use, and therefore owes no service or product to anyone else that he has not contracted to supply. Toussaint subscribes wholeheartedly to this, and lives his unlife by these ideals with an almost religious zeal. ♦ Penitent: The word penance derives from Old French and Latin poenitentia, both of which derive from the same root meaning repentance, the desire to be forgiven. Toussaint has committed many sins during his mortal life, and seeks to atone for them post-Embrace. ♦ Vigilante: "A vigilante is a member of a self-appointed group that undertakes law enforcement without legal authority. Toussaint enforces his own sense of justice and levies punishments upon the wicked who have wronged others that seek out his help in his guise as Doc Underhill - he has a soft spot for wraiths especially.
♦ Kindred "Hell is other people." ♦ Lupines "Rage, rage against the dying of the light." ♦ Wraiths "What we do in life, echoes in eternity." ♦ Mages "The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything." ♦ Mortals "Get busy living, or get busy dying." ♦ Demons "Nothing wrong with a man taking pleasure in his work. I won't deny my own personal desire to turn each sin against the sinner."
My Friends ♦ Madeline "A mover and a shaker. And such sweet moves and shakes that they are!" ♦ Arya "A prospective employer. We'll see how it pans out."
