Acis	My half brother knows more of the world than I, but his humanity sometimes compromises his reason.
Cyn	To understand humans is the end, not the means.
Carl	He was respected, but I do not know why.
Faqirah	The only member of my sect who requires of me that I prove myself in order to gain acceptance.
Marion	She seems willing to let others define for her the essentials of who she is.
Hehewuti	There is a great deal that she will not say.
Van	He wavers between adhering to social norms and deviant behavior. At first, I thought that his behavior was random, but as I have watched him, I have begun to suspect that it is not.
River	While confusing at times, she is more rational than any human, and most vampires, with whom I have conversed.
Luna	When a person violates social norms to the degree that she does, they are generally shunned by their peers, but she is fiercely protected. I would like to understand why.
