STREETWISE: |
(1) A female biker who used to work the Emergency Room at Prospect General Hospital. Now heals both the physical and the mechanical, as she also has considerable skill in repairing vehicles, especially motorcycles. Also a reputable artist for those who like something exotic painted onto their fuel tanks. |
(2) Roxy used to run with a motorcycle gang called the Devil's Legion. They left her behind after travelling east, though they regularly return to California. Having been with them for a couple of years, her criminal record has steadily grown. |
(3) Her career at the Hospital came to an end after she was found to be skimming a few drugs from the pharmacy for personal use. There are rumors that she was under investigation for a murder charge, but the charges have been dropped. |
(4) Not entirely dropped, Detective Copeland has put the murder investigation against her on hold after she performed some sort of favor for him. Unable to leave the city, Roxy is tied to the Detective until her debt is considered as paid. |
(5) Detective Copeland's wife was critically ill until Roxy visited her. Less than 24 hours later the woman was walking around without a problem. No doctor could perform that sort of miracle. The leader of the Devil's Legion is rumored to be a powerful Sorcerer with a focus on Summoning, Binding & Warding, calling forth the Demons and Devils that give the gang their name. |
HISTORY: |
There was a time Roxy's future looked set in stone. A happy family, a good student, a university degree in medicine and a lucrative job at Prospect's General Hospital. She always had a bit of a wild side, driving motorcycles, partying throughout the night, even mild drug use, and so when the hospital work became too stressful she started stealing a few of the pharmacy drugs for herself. Just to take the edge off. Not as smart as she thought, it wasn't long before she was caught and her license was revoked. So began a soon to be long criminal record. |
With her future in tatters, Roxy partied harder and soon found herself caught up with a motorcycle gang. They used her abilities as a doctor, while teaching her how to defend herself and taking her down a troublesome path. Drink, drugs, rock and roll, fighting and patching up the wounds. That criminal record continued to grow. |
After a few strange nights, the police raided the gangs hangout and they were all pulled in for questioning. There had been a murder and a witness had given a description similar to Roxy's, so most of the gang was released while she stayed. After brokering a deal with the chief detective on the case, the claim against her was dropped and she was released, but was unable to leave Prospect while the investigation continued. |
Stuck in the city without a gang or a job, Roxy looked to set down some roots. She offered her services as a doctor, no questions asked, to the seedier side of the city and had multiple answers. One took her on full time, the other offered her a private surgery, though it came with an unusual price. Feeling the need to exercise, Roxy took up a new hobby in her spare time, learning Kung Fu, and by the end of the month had already grasped the basics. More interestingly, she went investigating the disappearance of a biker gang and had a terrifying experience, and also offered her services as a mechanic to someone in need and ended up making her first friend in the city in the process. The pair investigate the murder charge personally and find that Roxy was actually guilty, but then uncover that it was actually someone magically disguised as her. The person then changed into a man and teleported across the city. The investigation just became a whole lot more complicated.
Going ahead with the investigation alone, Roxy found the address of the man who was disguised as her and went to confront him. Instead, she found someone else with the same appearance, a strange cultist serial killer. After a fight she managed to knock him unconscious, then called in her Detective to handle the arrest. Now unsure what to do, she ponders searching the site the man teleported to; a high rise apartment in the middle of Downtown.
