          Only blues and silvers remained at this level of darkness.  The moon was so bright it hurt to look at it.  A woman moved silently through the mayapple and the bracken, taking advantage of a fresh breeze to hide her footfalls amidst the rustling.  Ahead, in the clearing, the beautiful Japanese lady finally saw her quarry.  She raised the bow and drew back the arrow.

This is Avalyn's ass. Its purpose is to mesmerize, and subtly unnerve.

Typically, there will be a pointed attempt to look away and focus on other details of the picture: "Why is she wearing that strap? Why is there a rope? What does the calligraphy on her shirt mean?"

Then there is a defensive reaction as attention inevitably returns to the ass: "...It isn't so great. Am I supposed to be getting a hard-on or something?"

By design, this irritation extends to the entire page. "Why the fuck are there quotes in Japanese and French that I can't understand? And why does this page not simply tell me what type of supernatural Avalyn is like everyone else's?"
