Paris is a guy who has had a hard life. As a kid he grew up in a poor and broken home. His dad was an abusive alcoholic biker and his mom a druggie who barely made enough for her next fix. Paris didn't have many friends in school and was always bullied. What made matters even worse was the constant crime around his neighborhood. Drive-by shootings, domestic violence, gang activity, drugs, you name it. It was only a matter of time before Paris became one with his surroundings. He quit school, ran away from home, and turned to a life of crime. Just as many criminals before him, he finally got caught and served time. Luckily, it didn't last long and once he was released and off parole, he left the city he called home. Something changed him while he was locked up. Maybe it was maturation, maybe guilt overcame him, but whatever it was it consumed him from the inside. So much in fact, that he experienced his awakening. A strange and unexplainable thing to him. At first scary, then over time, just made sense. He practiced, and researched and even found others like himself. Now, Paris finds himself in Prospect. Seeking to make the best of the way things are while at the same time, enjoying what time he has left.

Paradigm: Everything is doomed eventually. Nothing matters because it's all dying anyhow. All that is important is getting what you can and enjoying the show before the lights go off for good. I believe that Magick is released as things die. Whether it is a person, animal, plant, or even emotions like love or hope. When they cease to exist, is when that Magick is released. When you awaken, I believe that is when you are enlightened to this occurance and then given the ability to harness the Magick. The mystery is why? I don't know, but I feel that someone or something out there has the answer. A downside that I have experienced with this paradigm is knowing that death or destruction is inevitable. Some try to prolong it, others just embrace it. Which one are you?
