Nocturne House

"What terrified me will terrify others; and I need only describe the spectre which had haunted my midnight pillow."

In the deep woods and treacherous mountains of the nearby wilderness, waits Nocturne House. Founded originally as a private home for Joshua Campbell and his family in 1870, the estate has changed hands several times in the century since.

After Joshua lost his mind and murdered his family, the property was donated to the Catholic Church. It operated as a school for wayward children until 1930, when it was sold for unknown reasons. The estate was purchased by a private broker, which transformed it into the Idylwild Sanitarium For The Criminally Insane.

It served in this capacity until 1970, when budget cuts forced the company to sell the property to the city. It sat dormant for decades, until Valentina Dior, a Hollow One, purchased the estate for almost nothing. With the aid of her Tradition-mates in the city she restored the estate to Gothic magnificence, and turned it into a house for wayward individuals.

Hollow Ones, Orphan Mages, humane but outcaste Vampires, lonely Shifters, Wraiths seeking a place, non-monstrous Fae, mortals. She opened the doors to many, as long as they followed her very important Rules. Three years ago the deed and responsibility passed to her apprentice and lover, Mordred Macabre, when she was butchered by Nephandi. After his departure, the windows are brightly lit once more as someone else has taken up residence.

Since being taken over Nyx has made a few changes: She's locked things down a little more, making it a halfway house for other Hollow Ones, Orphan Mages and other Magi that don't feel like they fit in with the larger group. The focus of the house has become the Magi community and those therein looking for a place to be themselves.

Fit the above? Have a concept that -might- fit and youre curious? This is an RP group based around a shared living situation. Plenty of opportunity for some fun social rp, as well as parties and more. Inquire via pages or @mail Nyx.
