Maglock was in his junior year of high school when he began having amazing dreams about a world beyond the world and his place in it. His grandfather had hinted at it, but had died two years ago, and now here he was learning about things all over again. He learned in a library inside of dream that there were things in the world that were dangerous and that only in dream could he safely change things. He didn't listen much at first, and paid for it, painfully. After a year, he got better and went to school.
