Reality Fate has its grip on everyone. There is no being without a destiny waiting for them, no life without a purpose. Mortals are ignorant of this. They walk in their sleep, guided through their daily, meaningless existence by an invisible hand. They can Awaken. They can write their own destiny and reject the whims of their creators. But when I look into the mirror, I wonder... Who am I to say that, in having done so, I haven't made everything just a little bit worse? |
