Recently divorced, Jacie has moved back to town to be closer to her family. Having lived in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband since her college years when she had left Prospect for the great unknown at the tender age of 18. Jacie had taken the courses that would eventually lead her into law enforcement, she met and married a fellow officer in the precinct, Darren Martin.
Through the years the two moved up from patrol to detective, but they were assigned separate partners and as time passed, Darren became really absorbed in his work and was away working on cases more and more. Though Jacie noticed the withdrawal, she attributed it to the cases coming in, which in all honesty and fairness, were increasing in number for all of them.
