- Mastema's name is noted in the Book of Jubilees. He is remembered as the Angel of Destruction, as well as a tempter and tester of mankind. The book also claims that he asked God to allow him demons as servants, but he vehemently denies this.
- Mastema's hosts are all flawed in that their irises take on an unnatural silver hue. He disguises this as best as he can.
