The Polaris Theater was once a shining jewel of nightly entertainment in the city's downtown area when people went to the movies be frightened, to fall in love and for a good laugh. After years of service the old building fell into disrepair and eventually the people stopped coming as often to the single-movie theater when there was a Cinemark 10 right up the road at the mall. After a time the building was locked up and forgotten.
The theater was an emotional cage, filled with the screams, tears and laughs of whole generations. As the owners were desperate to boost ticket sales before the end, they showed more and more horror-themed movies. Fear began to saturate the peeling walls. And when the doors were locked all that was left was the memories of forgotten movies, the whispers of all who had come and gone and the shadows of a faded star.
