Tak

BACKGROUND A native of Prospect, California, Tak has recently returned from a few years away at graduate school. He holds a double-major in Psychology and Philosophy from UCP, and a masters degree in Sociology, specializing in child welfare from Portland State University. He's a registered guardian ad-litem for the state of California. Tak went to UCP with an athletic scholarship in wrestling, but after his second year, he stopped the spot and turned his scholarship into an academic full-ride. Apparently, he's pretty smart for a bruiser, and doesn't care who knows. FENGHUANG HOUSE AND COMMUNITY CENTER Tak grew up in the Chinatown neighborhood, and has recently opened the Fènghuáng House and Community Center there in the same building he grew up working and playing in. "It was a stroke of luck that this large building came available when it did. My grandmother would be proud," Tak said at the dedication ceremony. FAMILY It is pretty well known on the streets that Tak's parents recently passed away under strange circumstances, so he has sole guardianship of his teenage sister. He is ulta-protective of her, as are the kids who have started coming to the center. Her name is Rei, but most of the kids...especially the boys call her Tak's Sis, or Texas as a joke.
