He escaped his attempted suicide and ran away from home. He ended up in Tokyo, and he spent a year surviving on his own until he encountered a Hengeyokai Court, and they took him in and properly trained him. He returned to school and finished, while also working on his dark sorcery. He became the quite adept sorcerer and Doshi, using his magic almost as a mercenary, making Fetishes or dealing with spirits for people. Now he has come to America to attend UC Prospect, and also to join the local Beast Court in an attempt to seek occult secrets far from home.

He tricked the Bakemono with guile and took up residence in the Bakemono's old cottage. He explored his new abilities for some time before leaving and traveling to Tokyo. It was in Tokyo that he met other Hengeyokai, and he took -very- quickly to acting like a human. He quite enjoyed it, in fact, and spent most of his time in his human form. The Hengeyokai built a whole identity for him, and he learned quite a bit from private tutors. Now he has come to America as a student, to attend UC Prospect.
