*Babylon is off-camera.

*That means your IC actions can't affect it. It's just for background or to explain rp.

*It can be affected in a scene but it will just re-form one way or another for the next scene

Typically the floor plan for Babylon is fairly simple. A series of tables, each with four chairs, will line one wall with a bar on the opposite wall and a dance space in the middle. Four-chaired booths are arranged against another wall with a small, raised stage opposite them.

Babylon is whatever people need it to be. It is a tool that will hopefully enable people to find more fulling rp out on the grid.

How to use Babylon:

Reporter: "How do you address the legitimacy of the unlicensed bar that Babylon regularly operates?"
*Need a place for your character to bar-tend but can't find the owner of an IC Bar? Babylon.

*Need a location for your character to get drunk at the night before? Babylon.

*Want a job stripping but can't find the owner of an IC Bar (or want to pose stripping)? Babylon.

*Want a stage for a rave or something similar but don't have one IC? Babylon.

*Need a place to meet a contact off-camera so that you know what's going on IC? Babylon.

*Need a job to explain resources 2? Babylon.

Literally anything that you need for a bg for your character, Babylon can provide.

Some players have used Babylon to break the IC/OOC barrier to meet other characters by using Babylon to explain how they met. I.e. "Hey, did I see you at Babylon last night?"

On local news:

This just in. Last night the local legend Babylon was raided by police after a call from security at a neighboring business called in about the noise. Apparently the serial trespassers have been getting sloppy. The police department claims that undercover police officers discovered evidence of drug trafficking, prostitution, and racketeering in addition to violation of state liquor laws and a variety of city ordinances, not to mention trespassing.

Several witnesses claim that the Police made an unlawful search, that the club was there with the owner of the property's permission (who they claim is an avid raver himself), and that the excessive force used by the police during the raid against largely unarmed civilians breached their civil rights. Here's what one witness had to say,

Witness: "Hey man! This is Bulls***! We're here legit! They got no cause to come bustin' in with flash bangs and s***! Let the rave on, man! We're here with permission man!"

Reporter: "How do you address the legitimacy of the unlicensed bar that Babylon regularly operates?"

Witness: "Uhhh... RAVE ON!!!"

There you have it folks, that's the local news, turn in again at five where we will talk with experts about the current group who have announced their candidacy for the presidential election and how each might affect local matters.
