- Norse: He was born and raised by Troll Kinain in Norway, and many of the old-school Viking beliefs were taught.
- Money: His family was always wealthy, coming from old shipping company money moved into various investments until they ended up one of the wealthiest families in the country. When Urik's father had a mountain-climbing accident, he took on the family fortune.
- Troll: He went through his Chrysalis around age twelve, and he been among the Fae for about sixteen years now. He's a Grump now, but has no intention of backing into the shadows to let the Wilders have all of the fun.
- Unseelie: He loyally served as a Seelie squire and then Knight in his youth, but in the end he was betrayed by his Lord and framed for horrible acts. He slaughtered his former Lord and those pursuing him, and in the end he was released of all charges. After that he turned his back on the Summer ways and fully embraced his brutal side.
